Service was ok, food was ok or bland, but the prices, outrageous. It must be the rent here, I had the burger which was passable but so salty I wanted to assault the soda fountain. The portions have clearly been visited by shrinkflation, normal these days I guess,chips in cups for example, clever presentation but your stomach notices. The Bolognese however was embarrassing,like toblerone you can go too far. Just raise the price because it lowers your brand people. There was practically no meat in whatsoever and very little sauce. It's the tagliatelle you can see in the pics. Ok. Below average when accounting for price. Disabled access on lower level,we didn't book but there was plenty of room, now I know why:(

My Wife and I visited Cardiff yesterday 2/4/2022 for a very relaxed weekend due to both working in the NHS. We decided on eating with Frankie and Bennys. Upon arrival we were greeted and told there would be a 20 min wait which was fine. After 15 minutes we were seated and then greeted by a very well presented and lovely young man called Connor who took our orders. The food was fantastic as always and we weren't disappointed. This is a place we would return to and also let friends and family no.

Great location inside the city shopping centre. 🛍 A warm welcome from the ladies on arrival who found a table straight away for our large group. The ambience was nice and busy, we were seated outside on tables put together. We were served quite quickly, drinks were prompt, but meals took their time. When the food did come out, it was good. Most people were happy. We ordered a lot of different dishes. Pasta and pizza were a hit. My chicken loaded fries lacked chicken apart from a small peice on top, but was tasty. Good value for decent portions too.

Great location in the heart of Cardiff, situated right outside Cardiff International Arena. The staff were very helpful and really friendly. The food came out within a short amount of time and was hot and tasty. Had my usual double cheese burger and it didn't fail to fill me up Would recommend & eat there again anytime 👌🏻🍽️

Me and a few other friends went out on a day trip in cardiff. We were deciding where to eat. We came across Frankie and Benny’s I said ‘oh that restaurant is great’. I really enjoyed my meal, and it was great value for money. I paid £10.40 for a whole meal mains, drinks etc. We were served by a young man. He told us his name was Darcy. He was a great waiter. However when we wanted to pay our bill. A lady came over she told us ‘can you leave a good review?’ ‘I’ll get you free deserts if you do’ Despite telling this lady that we didn’t want deserts. As we were getting deserts elsewhere. She also told us to put her name in our review. A friend of mine couldn’t place a review. The lady I believe her name was Bev, she called over the manager he asked us if we wanted help leaving a review. We felt that we were all being taken advantage of as we are only young and therefore won’t be returning for a while. Thanks

Great location inside the mall. The staff was accommodating. She entertained us right away after we stood in front of the restaurant. The ambience was good. Well decorated. The food was good. We ordered cheesy mac and ribs. The cheesy mac needs to be more cheesy though, the ribs were soft and tender.

Good food, great staff. Meat in burgers very well seasoned and prepared. Children's menu - a large selection of good dishes.

Good clean restaurant with a very friendly and helpful staff on hand to seat you and then take your order. Food arrived quickly and was warm and cooked to a good standard. Dimly lit up, but this makes for a very good atmosphere. I would certainly recommend a visit.

Thanks so much for a lovely meal, we visited today for my partners birthday, we was served by Emily. She was very pleasant & always on hand when we needed to order something else. The food was amazing! And the atmosphere was great. There are a great team of staff who seem very happy to work there as they were all very bubbly and friendly even though the restaurant was very busy. They didn’t seem to be under any pressure. There was also another member of staff who was making a fuss of young children which I thought was very nice to see. Overall very nice F&B. Defo one of my favourite locations around, service was very quick. Thank you F&B.

Took my daughter and her friend for a meal for her 11th birthday and our waitress lauryn was superb. Made my girl and her friend feel super special would highly reccomend.

Food was on the cold side, especially the fries, some of which were overdone to the point where a fork would not penetrate them, others were just plain soggy and cold. See photo. The New York chicken was also on the cold side. Sweetcorn was OK, as was the service. Not inspired to return as it was incredibly disappointing.

Excellent food, great to see some newer options on the menu. The Mediterranean Grain salad is so filling and the New Yorker platter was just right too.

Fab experience, didn't book a table but was still seated for 2. There was a more limited menu than usual as we went on the same day the rugby was on, and discounts and deals don't apply on these days either. Service was reasonable given how busy the restaurant was at the time, food arrived quickly and was delicious. Would recommend heading here, on usual days the menu is much larger and food is definitely worth what you pay for it.

Dined on my own, but I was made to feel very welcome and the staff were all friendly and checked i was okay during my time in the restaurant (5 different members in total) I was served quickly being offered a drink while I looked at the menu, when I ordered my pasta dish the server suggested a side of cheesy garlic bread which I ordered. My food arrived quickly and was delicous, when I had finished I was offered a dessert which had to be done. Thank you to the team who were all friendly and made me feel comfortable which I don't always feel like when dining alone

We had a lovely time at Cardiff on Tuesday. Isabelle was our waitress she was very helpful and so fast! Anything we asked for it was there within minutes. Food was great and also really quick. Will definitely be coming again.

Came here with my boyfriend and was seated straight away, without a reservation, they made room for us! Cocktails are to die for and was served by a lovely lady Lucy, she was so attentive and sweet and made us feel right at home! Food was lush and enjoyable. Will definitely come back for just the service.

Cardiff was packed hard to find a table without booking anywhere. Staff here were very friendly, welcoming and food was excellent. Connor served us and was both charming and efficient. Was great with our two kids. Really family friendly.

Really enjoyed our experience today, we were a very big table and they couldn’t be more accommodating ! We almost had the whole upstairs to ourselves. The staff were friendly and nothing was too much for the lady serving us. Food service was also surprisingly quick. Unfortunately they only had the event menu due to the rugby which is smaller than usual but we all found something we liked

2 hrs we spent in this restaurant, 1hr 20 of that was waiting for the main course. Our 2 starters and drinks arrived pretty quickly and the service was ok but the food we waited so long for, was an abomination. Pasta dishes were cold, brocolli had been sat under a heat lamp for well over an hour and I am convinced the pizza was from Iceland. Best part of the entire experience was the refund and the way out. Will not be returning to this restaurant again.

26/1/23 Had a brilliant time here. Enjoyed a delicious lunch date and plenty of yummy vegan options for myself and gluten free options for my partner. Our server Mari was very accommodating. Manager was also very apologetic and quick to rectify the mistake with my vegan dessert. This is a firm favourite!

Nice and cosy place with pasta and pizza options. We tried carbonara and meat bull classic. Both were very tasty. I would say it a bit on the pricy side. Each portion is a minimum of 12£. As its quite popular, it could be very busy with a queue for tables, but we were offered a table only in few minutes.

Was a lovely experience. The atmosphere was cozy and our server at Cardiff was amazing. If your ever served by Amy you'll be treated really well. Thank you Amy for a wonderful service

Was really pleased with the gluten free menu. I enjoyed the carbonara - looked on the small side but was actually quite filling. Six of us went and no one had any complaints, service was prompt and polite. We didn't get a goodbye or thank you on the way out (its the small things)

Staff very pleasant and service always good, food good, and the staff were very helpful and friendly when we dined with our young nephews.

Great experience, good selection of vegan & veggie options. Drinks & food were great and arrived quickly, good prices, all the staff we spoke to were very friendly. Especially our server Tierney who was very friendly, polite and happy. I will keep going back there.

Love a Frankie's! Loads of different options to choose from when you have no idea what to have for lunch/dinner. The drinks are nice too and the staff are friendly! Would recommend

I ordered the vegan pasta bake. Was expecting it to be spicy as the description stated chillies and 'pepperoni'. It was hotter than any curry I'd ever tasted. Only managed a few mouthfuls totally inedible. I'd imagine a mistake had occurred somewhere along the line and it wasn't meant to be like that. Please bring back the vegan pasta in a creamy sauce that you used to offer. The service however, was great the staff were really helpful and accommodating.

My pizza was very greasy, a topping was missing and there was to much rocket which overshadowed the rest of the pizza. Service was adequate but could've been better overall.

Not many options for food intolerant people. Food was dry as it had been under the hot light for so long. Jacket potato was grey and dry. Hot dog was hard as if it hadn't been cooked. Staff were friendly though. And our server had a very difficult table next to us but dealt with them well. However this stopped me complaining about our food. 😪

Had a meal here everything was really good. Service was a bit delayed but it was super busy so was expected. Everything was cooked well and tasted good. Staff were really friendly and helpful

Food was okay, waited 45-50 minutes after ordering to be told the starter had gone to the wrong table (??). Staff apologised to be fair to them. Place tidy, staff helpful. Not sure its a place to go if you plan to be in a bit of a hurry. Need to leave a fair amount of time if you've booked elsewhere afterwards.

We had a life saving breakfast in here on Monday morning. I managed the Normal, kids had a Stacker each and the husband munched his way through the Big One (only left the black pudding so deserved a prize - see photos). All cooked beautifully, lovely friendly waitress, can't fault it.

Our server was excellent and she made us feel really comfortable. It was a bit of a wait for food but for it being half term I can completely understand that it was busy. The rest of my party enjoyed their food, however some of the items could be improved upon. The brisket burger is no different than a regular beef burger from burger king, and the onion rings were completely raw and had no colour to them. Despite this, I still enjoyed my time here and would think about coming back.

Had an amazing meal with mother for her birthday. Staff very attentive and customer service is excellent, very friendly and smiling staff great to see.

Went for a date night here and it was a really nice experience. Was a Sunday so very quiet but staff were super helpful, drinks were yum and the food was really fast to the table and tasted amazing.

Zsanett was so helpful with letting me charge my phone in the restaurant - it saved my day! Me and my friend then decided to stay for food and drinks. We had a wonderful experience! The staff were lovely and extremely friendly. The food and cocktails were delicious. I would highly recommend visiting

Visited on 6th April while browsing the mall. Haven't had F&Bs for a long time and was a first for my partner. Food was very good and good quantity & value for money, staff friendly and attentive, good atmosphere and seating arrangements. Overall a very enjoyable experience. Highly recommended the BBQ chicken wings 👌🏼starters

The food was lovely and our server was very friendly and generally a nice guy. One big problem I had was communication, we weren't made aware of the over 50 minute wait on food. Now the wait would of been okay had we had our starters but after asking if our food was coming out we were told that there had been a mix up in the kitchen and all our food was due to come out together. Our starters were cold and that was the biggest disappointment, our mains were warm, tasty and good value for money. We were given a discount because of the wait from our server, would probably visit again hoping that communication was a one time thing.

Popped in for a lovely meal after shopping today (Thursday 3rd Nov). The BBQ brisket chips are really good, and we enjoyed the meatballs for our main. Service was really good, however our main did take some time to come out, but that didn’t bother us as we weren’t in a rush. I believe it was Connor who served us, and he was such a delight. He checked on us constantly, was very friendly, positive and easy to talk to! So thank you so much, and hope to come again soon!

Visited on Sunday the 11th of September, we hadn’t booked but were given a table immediately. The waiter called Josh was fantastic, very friendly and had a excellent sense of humour. Nothing was to much trouble for Josh. The food was delicious and plentiful, the restaurant was clean and the food was reasonably priced. Will definitely visit here next time I’m in Cardiff and hopefully Josh will be our waiter again.

The front staff and waiting staff were excellent, they were attentive and friendly. They were helped by the catering staff who produced excellent food, well laid out and extremely reasonable in price. Starting our day in Cardiff to see George Ezra on the right tracks. Go along and experience the place for yourself.

Really disappointing. Usually really enjoy the experience of going here - recently it's been on a massive decline. We had to wait for over 20 mins to be seated, and then when we were had an awful time ordering and recieving the food. I ordered the 'classic burger', and it came with no cheese. The pattys (I ordered an extra one) were burnt, the meat overcooked, and then they just presented me with a slice of cheese on a plate to make up for it. We had no idea what an 'event day' was, all we wanted was an impromptu date together when we had to grab a few bits and pieces out. Apparently this 'event day' meant that we were ineligible for a student discount that has worked literally every single other time we have come here. Really not worth the price point.

The staff were lovely, Patricia was very friendly and helpful with taking our food order and checking on us throughout, we had a lovely time, the food was lush and the atmosphere was lovely - Thanks Patricia :)
