Fantastic place. Scenic, with lots of eateries and pubs. Good boat trip on the Daffodil with great commentary too. Recommended place to visit for sure. Will come back here. Can imagine how busy it gets in summertime.

I was very impressed with this place. They had tea for me which as a vegan was quite difficult to get in Wales as not many places seem to do milk alternatives. As ever I can only talk about my experience. They also had a vegan choice of food which was toasted tea cakes with Flora margarine. I really don't understand why there is not a vegan alternative to margarine or butter when it is so easy to do.

Mermaid Quay is definitely worth a visit. So many places to either sit outside or inside to eat 🍽🍾πŸ₯‚. A lot of money has clearly been spent on rejuvinating the area. Next time I think we'll try out a boat 🚀 ride about the bay 😊

Great place to spend some time in Cardiff centre. Lots to see and do including places to eat and drink, aquabuses to see round the bay from other viewpoints, sculptures and people. Fun for the whole family although it's delightful when you're alone too, I found.

Beautiful place and scenery. Nice place to go out on a sunny day. Lots of places to see. Plenty of places to eat. Cinemas and other activities are just 5 minutes walking distance away. During busy hours, parking could be a challenge. But a great place for family with children to enjoy a day out.

Beautiful place. Checked out the bit where torch wood was filmed and found Iantos Shine decorated with load of fan art. Walk the quay which was lit up wonderfully.

A lovely place to visit via a relaxing boat trip from near Cardiff Castle. Nice places to eat and a boulevard to walk along to see the waterfront and just around the corner from the Parliament building

A superb area within the centre of Cardiff bay. The start for many great breaks and nights out. It has direct routes to boat trips either tourist trips around the local area or as a means of commuting to the city centre. The restaurants are amazing with every food choice known to man. It also hosts the national giver building and the nations concert hall. In summer it is filled with fair ground style attraction and it is a constantly buzzing. Definitely a visit.

One of the largest water fronts in Europe. Very spacious and well laid out. Plenty of restaurants and shops to keep you occupied and entertained. Worth the visit and you can take a boat ride ftom Bute Park or vice versa.

Awesome place, localish for me. Sadly it's a 5 star place with 2 star people at the weekends. Also everything shuts so early, I could image how this would function in a EU city as oppose to UK slam all the food and as much drink as poss into you withing 3hrs! There are some gems down here though, certainly worth going to explore. Be it the fayre, big wheel, Everyman Cinema, great choice of food, boat rides, cocktail bars and historical buildings, statutes and info. It's also surprisingly clean. Fab place

Lovely old historical docks, that has kept some nice historical architecture features. Do read up on the history, and at the old photos of the docks in its hay day , plus the sad times of the state of it all when everything closed, before it all got regenerated and reborn in to a new life. At night it's truly gorgeous. Plenty of options to eat and drink from every corner of the world. Don't miss out on a walk all around the harbour , it definitely worth it, plus the added bonus of some good fresh sea air.

Mermaid Quay is apparently the new centre of Cardiff, on the shore of Cardiff Bay. It has been transformed by the building of the barrage ,which has,now prevented the sea tide ,running out ,thus creating a wonderful lake like water body. The whole area has been rejuvenated and now hosts the Welsh Parliament , a wonderful theatre complex , which overlooks the wonderful open space which can host all kinds of events. Some of the glorious old buildings remain, like the old Customs House . The whole development has been carried out very artistically. It is a pleasure to visit the numerous bars and restaurants . The seabus or waterbus is excellent for taking a trip round the Cardiff Bay . The Red Dragon Complex nearby has some excellent Cinema Theatre and Entertainment facilities, including the Famous Odeon Theatre. Overall the place is packed with great facilities and entertainment scenarios.

Lovely place to wander along while in Cardiff and enjoying the waterfront. Walking down past the big ferris wheel, you can walk down past the speedboat hire and then up some stairs to the main area or you can stay on the level and meander through the many shops and eateries. Plenty of different places to eat and drink and also convenience stores. Places to sit and enjoy the bay at its best. In the sun it is a lovely place to be and of an evening there is a hustle bustle of people enjoying themselves. A must visit while in Cardiff

Absolutely love all the Bars, Restaurants & the little Shopping area, especially the "Fabulous Welsh Cakes" Shop. The "Mount Stuart" Wetherspoon's is good for a nice relaxing drink & sat up on the Rooftop Balcony last night which has quite good views.

Nice views across the bay to Penarth. Because of the Barrage, there is a path between Cardiff and Penarth across it. Plenty of restaurants. Boat trips, including the water bus which has city centre drop offs amongst others. At busy times, a bit more car parking wouldn't go amiss, but we've usually managed ok.

A great pay and display mooring. Loads of eateries and shops. Reasonable mooring fee which gets you the key code for the security gate. Access will be restricted if there is a special occasion.

It was rainy outside but warm and friendly inside. Great for a date night or family meal. We enjoyed it all, and the cocktails were outstanding. It would be stunning sitting on their patio on a sunny day.

Mermaid Quay is a parade of shops, restaurants, a comedy club and a cinema located in Cardiff Bay. It can be busy and lively when the weather's good; so you might want to pick when you visit. There are plenty of things to see in the area; and it's useful to have these eateries here. A numner of the restaurants are chains; but there are some good independents too. There are even a couple of small supermarkets here.

Numerous eateries and bars with plenty of seating both indoors and out. Something to suit every budget. Lots of boat trips. I'd recommend the faster 'rides'. There's a lovely Welsh cakes shop and a little tesco too.

We've visited Cardiff many times and always try and visit Mermaid Quay. Lovely waterfront development with restaurants and bars. We especially liked the outside tiki bar and The Dock. There's also a lovely little Portuguese bakery. We were there in August and there was a fair there too. Boat trips available from here. There are a few hotels within easy walking distance, e.g. Premier Inn, Travel Lodge and Future Inn. Future Inn probably has the nicer rooms but is the furthest of the three. We stayed at the Premier Inn for the first time this time and the location is unbeatable, right behind the Millenium Centre so an easy stroll round the corner to Mermaid Quay. If you're staying in a hotel there's a Tesco Express and a small Sainsburys for supplies. Mermaid Quay had a great mix of people: families; couples; friends. Lots of people walking dogs too.
