Always better than alright. Like phenomenal. Fresh fast quality well priced. Lovely and clean. Friendly and efficient. Cannot recommend highly enough. Issue is they only take cash tip and I ALWAYS forget to have cash on me 😭😭😭. They deserve it. Make sure you visit regularly. Real gem!

The atmosphere was lovely, music wasn’t too loud and lovely lighting. The menu was large and we had loads of choice. The waitresses were so lovely and attentive. The food came so quickly and it was so delicious, we had the green dragon rolls, hell in the kitchen rolls and some rice paper rolls and all were so fresh and tasty. Well recommend!

Nice sushi and the best sashimi in Cardiff with no doubt (we ordered tuna), but unfortunately plum wine is run out :(. However, the service is so bad compares to the food. The waitress never check on us for the entire time ,we have to wait for a long time to get whatever, like you could tell that you been treated different.

Best sushi in Cardiff. A rather small restaurant. Had dinner here on Sunday night. Due to the size- recommend Booking ahead. We opted for the platter of 24 piece of 6 types as we didn’t have to make too many decisions as the menu was extensive. Beautifully presented dish. Meals came quickly and service was good. All excellent sushi’s and great value for money as paid £15 per person which was very good value. Will be back.

Sushi Life | Wellfield Rd 🍣 On weekends we sushi! 🍣 Too darn long I haven’t been to Sushi Life on Wellfield Road in Roath, Cardiff. There is no better way to spend a Saturday than drowning in cocktails and filling up on sushi rolls. ✨ Our order: Tori Karaage (deep fried chicken) Chicken Gyozas (Japanese dumplings) Tempura prawn (deep fried prawns in breadcrumbs) Spider Maki (Spider Crab Sushi roll) Spicy Salmon maki Boston maki (Salmon, avocado and cucumber roll topped with eel!) MY FAVOURITE of the night! In life I now expect all my meals to be delivered on a pretty bamboo bridge. Ok thanks bye

I Love it! Excellent value for money. The rice paper its that I prefer but ramen it's very tasty especially when it's raining and cold! Try the plum wine! Magic! Lovely noodles. Freshly made with beef or chicken or prawns. Stylish atmosphere and friendly staff. Professional service. The owners are very ambitious and hard workers.

We searched up “best sushi Cardiff” on google and this place came up, so we went. The food is extremely delicious and tastes fresh. There is a great, large selection of several types of sushi as well as many other dishes such as ramen and goyza. Exceptional and quick service as well as the great food.

The food seems lovely and tasty when you actually manage to eat or have a take away from there... Been refused a take away order on 3 occasions stating that they'd rather have customer eat in (??) It makes no sense as it's less job for the staff to take out than dine in.. and note to the staff: you could be nicer to people.

Service was excellent, food was prompt and delicious (and hot, for the dishes that should be hot)... Love the presentation on the bridge! Only part I wasn't sure about - the choice of music

Best sushi I've tried in Cardiff, great vegan options, lovely atmosphere. Recommended the Tokyo Platter and tofu starter.

Great experience. Food was lovely, well seasoned and really fresh. Sushis were great. Noodles was one of the best I’ve ever tried - we had the vegetarian one! Veggie Gioza was also great. Strongly recommend it.

We arrived just as they opened but it filled up really quickly. Very popular place. Nice place with a lovely relaxed vibe. Very clean restaurant. We had the chicken skewers and crab to start which were divine. So good. Then hosomaki, inari and nigiri. All well made, fresh and just beautiful. Really well priced food with lots of choice. It was our first sushi restaurant and my young son loved it. He's already planning the next trip. No parking but we parked in the library car park at Roath Park and it was a 4 minute walk. We had a lovely stroll round the park first and then stuffed our faces on delicious sushi. We then went to Joe's ice-cream shop on the way back to the car - perfect evening !

Thank you everyone at Sushi Life !!🧡I brought my daughter and family to celebrate her birthday last night. Lovely atmosphere and no pressure to order as presents were opened... instead you gave us complementory drinks! 🥰The food was delicious as always! 😋All staff are friendly, attentive and helpful, which lead to trying some plum wine as we finished our meal too!👌😊 No request was too much, resulting in a candle lit 'happy birthday' sweet to surprise my daughter at the end. Thank you guys. You made our evening extra special...we will be back x.

Had to try this place after hearing great things and it was excellent. The sushi was exceptional. Wonderful food and great, friendly service. Would definitely recommend and will be returning 😁 Update: Did return and it was just as excellent. Definitely a favourite.

Great service and very friendly staff. The food was out of this world - ordered the Tokyo platter and the vegan maki and it was easily enough for three. Friend had the king prawn uddon noodles and they were incredible 🤩

The best Sushi place ever! The staff were so friendly and attentive. The food is out of this world and reasonably priced too.

Very good sushi, decent value and tasty. Slightly limited choice of sushi - lots of choice of different maki. Decent value for money and good service. They turned away quite a few people whilst we were there which is always a good sign.

Very helpful staff who explained all the dishes to us as it was our first time trying sushi. Really enjoyed the food, the presentation was beautiful.

Sushi was phenomenonal but chicken katsu and beef skewers were a bit overdone.

Great service, well made tasty food, attentive staff, will rectify mistakes swiftly. The online menu can be a problem at times though. Sometimes it vanishes before you've had a chance to peruse it.

Been frequenting this place for a few years now and it’s definitely our go to for sushi compared to chains in town. It’s a small store with a cosy ambience. The sushi is consistently good but I think the other food like ramen and chicken katsu can be more flavourful. We always order the Maki rolls to share, favourites are green, yellow and red dragon and cut the crab with sides like gyoza, edamame and noodles.

YUM! This is a great place for eating in and take out, with plenty of options on the menu. Fresh and tasty sushi, we also recommend the chicken katsu curry (half n half).

It is better than expected. Probably one of the best sushi place in Cardiff. The sashimi and maki is good as expected. I personally not a fan of udon but the udon there taste really good. The pork curry is great nothing bad to talk about. So far it is a very nice experience there. Would definitely recommend my frds to go there.

Excellent chicken ramen. Much lighter than most with lots of fresh, raw vegetables. Prawn tempura for the maki wasn’t freshly cooked but tasted good. Friendly staff, reasonably priced. Good!

I am a sushi lover. Of all the sushi restaurants where I've eaten so far this one is on my top list. The place is quite small and you need to book a table (quite in advance) to make sure you got it. Maki rolls, Hosomaki, Nigiri, Futomaki are perfect, tasty and deliciously served lukewarm as they should be. Very high food quality. Fair and reasonable prices.

The best Sushi I have ever had, every single time I go. Even better than sushi I’ve had in top restaurants in Hong Kong. The quality is second to none and I’m very excited to be going again soon now they’re open for sit in dining post lockdown. I live about 140 miles from Sushi Life but happily travel for dinner every time I have a craving for sushi.

Me and my wife were searching for somewhere new to try (thank you Trip Advisor) abs discovered this little gem. Both being big fans of Japanese food, we were not let down with this and we both would go as far as to call this our new favourite. Would recommend booking a table as it is small inside. Small yet, cozy. The food was incredible. Highly recommend the beef teriyaki maki rolls, I've never tried anything like it, just so good. Overall we couldn't fault the food one bit. The staff were great. Just 2 lovely, friendly people who made us feel at home. This is why I'm always rooting for the little guys, the independent places. It's not just about good customer service. It's the passion they clearly have for doing what they must love doing. Sushi Life I wish you a long and successful future, we'll definitely be back (with the kids next time) Dõmo arigatõ

Absolutely delicious food at great prices - staff were so attentive and really accommodating about my partner’s allergies. We’ll definitely be coming back in the future

I'd never had great experiences with sushi over the years, so it wasn't something I'd gravitate towards. However, I attended a party where there were platters from Sushi Life and every mouthful was delicious! We were at a loss for something to eat tonight and Sushi Life came to mind! Ordered a fantastic Toyko platter. Really good!
