The food court has really gone downhill, 1 person serving breakfast who seemed completely overwhelmed to be serving food, lots of flies buzzing around, very slow service for how many people were queueing and missing items due to supply issues. A very sad looking breakfast. Edit: they have improved their standards since my last review, hopefully they keep it up.

Not to busy during the week, but on weekends it is like s kinda garden, parents just seem to take their kids there as a playhouse and just don't seem to worry about what they get up to as long as they have some peace and quiet for themselves. Won't go again on weekends as it is just to rowdy.

Alright if you know what you're looking for in there.. maze is ok for a gander if you want to kill time. One beautiful dark room. Fancied the sink so took a pic of that too.. Food's a bit mental. Love the free tea tho. £2.50 for 3 sorry looking slices of cheese and 2 slices of tomato. Do people really buy that?

Massive selection of everything for the home. Bought a beautiful chest of drawers that look lovely in our spare bedroom. For £50 it was a steal. Loved the meatballs as well.

This used to be my favourite IKEA but sadly not anymore. I absolutely love meatballs but today’s meatballs were not very nice, I think they changed their recipe sadly and the chips were horrible. Every seat and booth I looked for were dirty or the seats on the booths were broken. The lady smashed something by accident when I was walking past I then asked if she could go and wipe the table by the window so we could look outside as it was a nice day. The table was so dirty I had to press down hard on the cloth but still didn’t work. The funny part is that when I explained to the lady could you clean the seat by the window she passed me the wipe as if I worked there 😂 the first table I saw looked like it had lipstick on too (pictured below ⬇️) the café workers are more interested in cleaning the plates instead of the tables. Nice view of Cardiff though. I really like IKEA’S maze but you should have a one way all the way to the tills. People were going the wrong way, very busy with a lot of people (I think it’s because it’s a bank holiday) Really nice furniture if you moving houses though

Just love this place can spend hours looking the the collection of household appliances and the place is huge. The canteen is very affordable worth more than the money we pay. The ambience , collection, helpful staff, easy to get around , systems to guide where we can find the items , cost , food will score this place 8 out 5 and nothing to complain about. Thank you ikea for making our visit a pleasant one every time we visit.

Nice store. However, IKEA is quite overrated. I noticed, you've to be selective with what you buy in IKEA and probably sometimes mix their products and services with others, for example when it comes to bespoke kitchen or wardrobe. Their products are competively priced but quality is a little compromised. And other items such as sofas, beds, mattresses are not great quality, nonetheless over priced.

Loved my visit there with the wife, we browsed the whole store as IKEA makes you do that, not complaining as I really enjoyed it, so many unique rooms to look at. We ended up buying the best value for scented candles I have ever seen £1.75. Great value for money. Will be going back.

It's a day trip to go to IKEA... 😁 If you plan to go plan at least 4-6 hours for browsing the levels and collecting your items + 1 hour for lunch as the queues are constantly present. It's fairly expensive, but we came across good deals and good quality products.

Everything you need for the home. Good range of everything here from Storage to bathrooms to furniture. Busy on the weekends especially. Cheap food that ikea is known for.

To be honest not located in an easy to get to area, its got lots of parking the only way to get here is by vehicle unfortunately. Visited whole store and restaurant on second floor. If you have never been to IKEA they all follow same format it leads you up to the top floor and forces you to follow a one way direction to the ground floor warehouse section and then tills. It leaves me feeling like I've escaped a large oversized escape room on several floors. Prices and quality vary throughout so don't be hooked in by the cheap throwaway items that won't last. The cafe food is what I'd call child size portions, quality is like old school dinners expect dirty tables and unclean floors, im not sure why the restaurant is so busy to be honest lots of people walked in and left. We braved the queue and eventually sat down to eat after about 40 minutes in what can only be described as a prison line, Food quality is poor to average the fish was dry the mash was instant not fresh, chips undercooked and looked and tasted like the cheapest supermarket ones they could source. Meatballs are average coffee is also lacking in any taste of quality, For the portion size and quality it has to be my worst experience in a long time you will leave feeling hungry and ripped off. When leaving cafe to get out of store with a wheelchair it was awful had to get two lifts down from two ends of the store to again have to go threw lower market hall. With no exit signs absolutely disgusting and able-bodied design.

A.very bright store, to get round you.have to follow the arrows, seemed to walk miles, which for someone walking with a walking aid, isn't too good, it could be better designed. Other than that lots on offer, everything you need to set up or refurbish a home from a candle to a full kitchen. Only 4 stars from me because of the layout of the store.

Great store but they need to sort the queuing system for the canteen, 22 mins is too long to wait for meatballs. And no Dime bars in the shop!

Always fun walking around here and I always land up spending too much. Great room ideas and reasonable priced items. Didn't have to wait too long at the self service till.

IKEA is such a fun place to go! Cardiff’s IKEA is especially nice, it’s really big with lots of things to see! Also has 2 food places which is convenient. Staff are friendly and always willing to help! The displays are absolutely beautiful and make you want to buy everything! It’s an enjoyable experience and day out. I would recommend if you have kids.

Everything you could ever want from a shop, loads of different items that you would never think of and dont see anywhere else. They give you great ideas. There is a cafe come burger joint on the ground floor by the tills. There are also mens, women and disabled toilets on this floor. Plus they have a small aisle section of food stuff like bread, biscuits etc and a freezer section. Upstairs they have a restaurant and another set of toilets of mens, womens and disabled. You will need the whole day to get around this place It's huge they sell everything you can think of from bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens to office equipment, planters, baby items u name it they have it. You really cant go to ikea without trying the Swedish meatballs and gravy 😋😋😋 enjoy all you shoppers and foodies!!!

Strangely, due to where we lived before, had never visited an IKEA before. So with open mind, off to the Cardiff branch. Not what we expected, much much better. Went for a look, left with a full boot of shopping, excellent quality and prices

Great store. A huge selection of very customisable furniture at reasonable prices. Store itself is in a good location right off main roads. Plenty of parking at the store free of charge.

LOVE the new checkout system. Thought I was going to have to dump and leave my one item I bought once again on a busy bank holiday Monday as last time the cue was a mile long, but I only had just a couple mins to wait 👍

We were very impressed with the Santa 🎅 at lkea and the money 💰 goes to the children's hospital. My son was delighted with his gift 🎁

Furniture well displayed, good range of goods to fit out whole house room by room. Staff helpful food upstairs and down, children have special area where they can be left in care of qualified nursery staff. Upstairs children can explore to their heart's delight.

Love it. Excellent layout and gives you so many ideas for your own home. Good prices even with the cost of living going mad. Best thing is half way round there is a restaurant for you rest and get those famous meatballs. Always leave with more than intended.

Decent selection of plants in this branch of the flat pack superstore. And they are certainly a lot healthier too. Could do with reinstating some relaxed COVID distancing measures though.

So much more in stock compared to the next nearest store (Bristol). Clean and tidy, nicely laid out and plenty of parking.

  • 5/5 Matthew T. 2 years ago on Google
Much better now the short cut straight to market place has re opened from 1st floor after many years. Plenty of short cuts, was in and out in 16 minutes with 2 wardrobes.

Love this shop, walk around it thinking I don't want anything, come to the cash desks and am relieved of £150. This is not wanting anything.🤣🤣. Had everything we wanted in stock (and more!) Staff were helpful as well. Faultless.

Free parking maximum 2 hours. Great selection of household items. Good prices. No pens & paper supplied for writing down your wanted items since covid, so, take pictures of the item and info tags and collect items from the collection points... Easy.

The item we wanted was out of stock but the assistant was very helpful. As usual came away with items I didn't know I wanted. Everything well spaced out and Covid friendly.

Would have given 5 stars if mobility scooters were available. Great layout, lovely products. Had everything I wanted in stock. Lovely food in the restaurant although not much choice for vegans. And no food allergy labels on food in fridges

Well set out and lots of home and furniture ideas. Cafe and concession stand. Market Hall is my faves where the plants and candles are.

I love this place it's now my second time of visiting... It's just keeps getting better, I love how they have whole bedrooms, living rooms and bathrooms all set out, all with their own unique details. Always different when we come. So much to see and take in, everytime I come I end up spending more then I wanted but it's good quality..... We especially love visiting the restaurant 😄 1st time trying the famous meatballs too and that didn't disappoint either. So us girls have already planned our next IKEA haul

Before the pandemic this used to be a nice place to eat and drink while working. There were cubicles with charging points for privacy and electricity for your devices. There were also nice, comfortable sofas and chairs to relax in while you had a coffee, etc. Now, the cubicles are all there in the restaurant area, the charge points are there, but they don't work. The comfortable seats have all been replaced with school hall-style tables and chairs. It looks like IKEA doesn't want people to use its restaurant areas for anything but eating/drinking quickly and getting out. Could management either respond to my review here or, preferably, return the restaurant area to what it was pre-pandemic?

Everything you need in your home, you find here - from toilet solutions to kitchen solutions, from lighting to everything, it’s a must go to place once in a while. There’s ample parking and the cafe, though not very well stocked, serves tasty, well-prepared food. A wee bit expensive but there you have it !

I could spend all week in this store and still not spend anything as the choice is always outstanding. A great place for home ideas, Wendy during the week as not so busy plenty of space to browse and definitely wheel chair friendly. Staff were very helpful and knew their subject matter. But for me the highlight was the food court, a great selection and the turkey stuffing was spot on 👍

Like most people I like seeing the room settings. Interesting ideas. The market place is great as there's such a good selection of small things we didn't know we needed. Quick cup of tea and a cake before home with covered parking which is nice.

Bought mattresses from Ikea with 10 years guarantee. The spring came out and return it to Cardiff store two weeks ago. They(catherine and elise) gave me a case reference number and said i'll get a refund voucher emailed to me in 3 to 5 working days. I phoned them again after 5 days. They said again to wait 3 to 5 working days. I phoned again after 5 days same thing. It has now been 2 weeks still no refund. Was advised to speak to their refund team, which i did, they told me tonl wait till next week, i wasnt willing to wait anymore so they gave me the number to voucher express who are the ones to issue me the refund. Voucher expresels said there is nothing on the system and i would have to go back into the store. They mess you around and send you from pillar to post with no result. Very very disappointing, been a loyal ikea customer for the last 10 years 😡

😠 Unfortunately I have had a shockingly bad experience at this Next store. I ordered a pair of shoes to be delivered to store as they did not have my size when I was there. Less than a week after they were ordered, I looked online and it was showing they had been 'collected' - by someone else! I rang...
