Very cozy market place in Cardiff City center area. Lot of globle eateries.. Italian, Indian, Greek etc. Fresh fruits & vegetables, fish, meat etc is also available. Needles, threads, ribbons stores(2). There are 2/3 good bakeries and a pizza place situated at this market. The pizza is very delicious and very fresh.

A wonderful market, not only does its amazing history bring you a wonderful sense of nostalgia of the ways in which we used to shop traditionally. There is a fantastic variety of sellers with something for everyone. It is a feast for the eyes! Bursting with gorgeous fresh produce & everything from a top hat to a traditional Welsh Cake, which you can but still warm. I absolutely loved everything about the market & look forward to going back when I'm in Wales. Such friendly & helpful stallholders. An absolute jewel in Cardiffs crown.

Went in there today with my best friend. Really wanted to look around and see what the market was offering. Lots of gorgeous, quirky shops and is perfect for all ages. Such a brilliant variety of products however, something for everyone! We looked around and ended up getting two hot chocolates from SHANS. Super affordable and yummy :) Would recommend and will be back! A couple food stalls were shut on the balcony but hopefully when we come back next time they may be open!

Absolutely love Cardiff Market. There is literally every quisine from around the world under one roof, all freshly made with plenty of seating up and downstairs. There is a real sense of community with stall holders recommending others or locals just stopping by for a chat. I come back and visit every year.

An eclectic mix of stalls across two levels, well worth a look. Some of the "artisan" food vendors are ridiculously expensive whilst others (the busy ones!) rather good value.

It is recommended that you visit the market when you visit Cardiff because not only do you support local businesses and of course the local economy, but you will also find a wide variety of vendors who sell different goods and services and at reasonable price and everything is freshly made. Don't go to the supermarkets when purchasing something but come here first. 👍😊🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

It really is a gem....like going back in time ...please do not let anyone change it...and ruin it...there are such a wide range of stores and it was so busy on a Saturday afternoon...Great to see...I sampled many of the foods on offer and enjoyed the layout in the balcony and the second hand music shop..so unique...then I discovered welsh cakes - made on the premises and still warm...I bought 2 packets and then went back for more - salted caramel ones too and so cheap.. taking these back to work after the holidays..please don't let anyone try to update this place...it would be a disaster and ruin the ambience and general quirky individuality...adorable on every level...

Was here at 8am on the Monday. The hot breakfast smells so good at the entrance of the market. There’s also one breakfast spot in the second floor. Bought some fresh fruits (strawberries, litchis and peaches) with very reasonable price. Got my first welsh cake here as well!

A lovely range of stall holders, purchased some bunches of flowers and also purchased a lovely baby's jumper, which we had printed with a lion 🦁...all while we waited.

A really good market where you can buy food including the famous local cakes. One of the best things about Cardiff, do not miss it. Lots of spots to eat. There is a balcony upstairs to take photos.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🎄❤️👌Cardiff Indoor Market is very popular and located behind John The Baptist Anglican church. As you enter, the foyer area welcomes you to a stunning seafood counter to the left and a fantastically helpful fishmonger. To the right, a huge colourful selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. Inside, you'll find around 50 little stalls selling everything from stunning festive, fresh flowers, patisserie, prepared Christmas meats, food to go, coffee, and much more. Lots of artisan and unusual items here and definitely highly recommended establishment for December season and in fact, throughout the year, crammed with genuine traders who take a genuine interest in their customers. I guess that's why this place is so popular! 😍👏👏👏

Excellent indoor market, many food stalls and various other shops. It has an upstairs too with more food options, and this is where you can sit down to eat.

Loved the vibe of the place. It remembers me a lot of Oporto market. They knew how to keep the old and historical spirit of the place and give it a touch of modernity at the same time.

Under one great glass roof, Cardiff Market is an impressive Victorian structure in the heart of the city and has been trading in one form or another since the 1700s, having occupied its current site for over 100 years. With over 70 stalls spread over the ground floor and first-floor balcony, Cardiff Market is a must-visit on any trip to the city.

Lovely little nook, I hope this place stays exactly as is, definitely a treasure and doesn't have the main street stores! Everyone is friendly and nice, I highly recommend the fresh Welsh cakes made in there! Hot and Lovely!

What an amazing market! It has everything you need with a touch of simplicity and attachment with the community! I hope it stays open forever and the mainstream shops don’t take over!

Small but nice market. It has a lot small stalls of local shops and groceries. Perfect place for a stop for a snack or sweet.

A historical, very unique and architecturally beautiful, old market place which is worth visiting when in Cardiff. The market is in High Street and has a number of different shops - eateries, fruits, fish, meat, spices, books, old music, jewelery and daily items. The shops are quite good and you can find a lot of things under roof. Although we didn't buy anything from the market, it was absolutely worth exploring and simply admiring the charm of this place.

Was visiting Cardiff and found the market most enjoyable. My wife and I love visiting markets and this one had a terrific hat shop. Best selection I have seen in years even selling bowler hats and top hats. Other great stalls were there including a nice cake decoration shop.

Loved my time browsing through this vibrant market. There were the most amazing array of stalls from a fantastic genuine Gentleman's outfitters, haberdashery, fabric, phones, hardware, pet and fish supplies not to mention top quality butchers and fruit and veg stalls. If this isn't enough try one of the eateries - takeaway or eat in. I just loved my experience in here. Thank you to all the stall holders who were so very kind, friendly and knowledgeable about their products.

Lovely market. Loved the quality of produce/fruits and seafood. A wide range and variety of goods housed under one roof. Be sure to visit. Like a smaller-version of the Seattle Pike Place Market.

I feel so excited to come to Cardiff Christmas market before Christmas! Although I came here at noon to walk around, I believe it will be more exciting at night

Good, quality, traditional market, located inside a Victorian-era building, which has lots of independent traders selling all sort of wonderful items from clothing, to phones and watches, to homeware, to food and drink, to gifts! A great place to spend half an hour just wondering round and having a mooch at everything on offer - and to grab a freshly-cooked bite to eat too! 👌🏻

My butcher is still in situ and I am so happy to see him after covid restrictions.

Have not been to the central market for such a long time but it was nice to see it still as busy as it used to be. Went in to buy some Welsh cakes. They had good varieties, but a bit disappointed with the traditional Welsh cakes because they didn't have mixed spices in them which is in the original recipe, I enjoyed them though. So many places to buy take away food. Still got the bakery stall with their lovely bread and cakes plus much more.

Interesting attraction in the city centre of Cardiff! You can do some nice shopping, from food, to clothes to more local stuff and there's THE FOOD too! And I have to say everything looked delicious!! We tried some nice Thai noodles but the choice was vast! You won't be disappointed, it's definitely worth a visit while in Cardiff!!

I love the indoor market. I've always used the market for my fruit and veg as I can pick my own and get a lot more for less money than in any supermarket. Same at the butcher's - you get quality meat at a quantity you need, so there's less waste. I love the Bakestones stall where the bakers are always pleasant and the cakes are just delicious! I've bought net curtains, cards and electrical cables there as well, so whatever you need have a look there first, you're bound to find it. I also recommend any visitors new to Cardiff to head in there just to hear/see authentic Cardiff. 😊

Great market, cheap lots of stalls, friendly people at shops. A must to anyone in Cardiff. Went to Kelly’s Records as well for the second time and honestly such amazing prices and lads working there are proper helpful and nice.

So many food options now, good bookstore open for trading second hand, excellent bakeries and welshcakes. Come for the food, leave with some fruit and veg or fresh fish, atmosphere is nice with some friendly characters and eating upstairs looking down on everything is a very pleasant way to spend an hour or two.

Quick visit to the market. Great selection of stalls amd traders from food to eat now, to ingredients to take home and cook. Also lots of other stalls, haberdashery / fabric...

Really lovely classic style of market with ample small businesses selling their goods. Purchased some lovely Turkish vibe leaves and candied cinnamon apples (which were exceptionally good!). Loved mooching around all of the different stalls; everything from jewellery to fishmongers. Had a very tasty jacket potato from a stall called The Cheese Stall. Would definitely recommend paying the market a visit!

Fantastic place and not many of these types of places left nowadays. It’s like going back in time! So many things on offer here! Great place to get lunch - cafes, pizza restaurant, lots of deli style sandwiches and rolls made fresh to order. Fishmongers, butchers, clothes, music, gadgets, jewellery, cakes, gifts and so much more. A must visit if you’re in Cardiff

Nice place with lots of things to buy. The building itself is very nicely preserved. We got Welsh cakes from Cardiff bakestones. It was not crowded at all since we got there on Wednesday but it really is a place you should visit.

Wonderful place to walk round to enjoy the aromas of fresh cooked produce along with all the individual stalls that sell everything you would ever need.

Fantastic and historical indoor market in the heart of the city. Not so big but has everything you need over two floors. The building itself is gorgeous, a real example of Victorian architecture. The brickwork facade is really photogenic and the interior is too with a cool metal roof. The usual market traders are here such as fruit&veg, butchers, artisan bakers, book dealers, cobblers and the like. But there is also a vintage vinyl seller and a Welsh gift seller and some other intresting stuff. The food stalls are surprising, with Indian street food, perogi dumplings, woodbaked pizza and more. The pizza especially was excellent. If you're in Cardiff then I suggest swinging by and checking it out

Fantastic indoor market. Always open, always bustling. Offers some of the best street and sit down food that I've seen so far, great fresh produce and objects of interest. A good, real market, many of the locals I talked to told me they'd been going for 50+ years. If I lived in Cardiff, I would too.
