I was in to return a dress which was in sale, which I knew they wouldn't refund it, so I thought I'll return another full price item a shirt and buy the same full price shirt back with the money I'll get back as voucher for the dress. But between two people on the till they were finding it hard to work this out, it took her about good 10min to work this out and told me that its not possible, it's never been done before, Why do I want to return and buy the same shirt back etc.? Her body language and expression were awfull. In the end very reluctantly she let me use the voucher towards the shirt as if she was giving me some sort of charity. It felt like they couldn't follow two instructions in one go. So never that store ever again. Staff needs to go to customer services course. Terrible attitude.

No problems here. This store has a range of good value clothing, household items and travel goods, such as suitcases. The staff have always been friendly and helpful to me.

Great bargains today especially for matalan card holders, great personalised gifts with initials ideal for young girls. Sadly lift is out of order so anyone with a pram cannot get to the upper level. Apart from that nice staff

I was there yesterday and apart from the good quality low price goods I was overwhelmed by the staff, in particular the store manager Ellen. A great big 5 + stars to this lady who went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure I had everything I was looking for. Never have I received such service - too often you read about complaints and I just wanted to highlight just how friendly, helpful, professional and informative Ellen was. Top Notch, and as a result I will most definitely be back at that branch.

Took my granddaughter shopping had a lovely chat with Michelle while waiting at the changing room she was lovely and made a big impression next time I'm in il definitely go have a wee chat with Michelle a great ambassador for the store 😀

Well-stocked Matalan with all items you would expect, even the items in select stores only. Saved us from a bind with a well priced suitcase (£26 for a large one) and was easy to navigate, even in a wheelchair. Prices are reasonable, sizes inclusive and the store is well laid out. Staff are cheerful and open to helping you out if you struggle to find items. Well worth a visit, even if you're looking for something you're not sure they'll have.. Like we thought about the suitcase!

Great sized store, lovely staff and a good selection of cheap clothes. Great for kids clothes.

Low stars not for price or quality but those bloody awful self serve machines and appalling customer service. One of the attendants at the checkout trying to almost threaten or intimidate customers. Awful man who really needs to be told what's an acceptable way to dress and behave.

Bought some bedding and pyjamas, very pleased with purchases. The staff were very helpful and the shop was clean.

When I brought back the item, the staff member was refusing to take it back, creating false reasons that "it was damp", that "there was a hair" etc. He finally took the item but it was very unpleasant incident. I felt like I stolen something there and that all other customers looked at me like I'm thief

It was okay there closing on the 30th September so l went to see the sale it was alright but l think most people took things because l couldn't find things and l got duvet set and few clothes and few jewellery
