One of my favorite vegan restaurants! If there is one in the area I usually stop. I also have DoorDashed when I’m staying in Orange County. I love their hamburgers. The one I had today was their steakhouse burger that had steak sauce and blue cheese, of course all vegan. It was very tasty. I also love their nachos. It doesn’t have that fake vegan cheese taste and there’s plenty of heat on these. The chips have a nice crunch that holds up with the sauce on it. My wife ordered the Ruben which I’ve had before and it is very tasty. Overall this is a great restaurant chain and if you are vegetarian or vegan I would highly recommend it.

If you’re in the Carlsbad Village area for the day or the beaches in Carlsbad, you can visit the Veggie Grill nearby. You can take Carlsbad Blvd south and keep going on Palomar Airport Rd for about a mile a you’re there. It’s a nice area with plenty of parking nearby since Costco is close to it. It can get busy at times because of the Costco gas lines. I like the variety of plant based foods at all Veggie Grills. The loaded nachos are good for sharing with someone or a group. The bowls are a good size and you can get tortilla chips to compliment them. They have seating inside and out which makes it convenient to find a spot to eat. Their customer service is excellent every time that I have gone in. I’m sharing photos of the 7 layer bowl which is great with chips. Also, their classic romaine salad which is nice to share too. My wife ordered the Cajun Fish Sandwich which she enjoyed too.

The vegan food is super delicious and the customer service is superb!!! Love this place. Came here two days in a row. We tried the Southeastern Nachos, Far east bowls, Reuben on Rye, and French fries.

Horrible. Awful menu. They don't understand their market and are riding a trend. They surely don't even understand food. Yeeeech.

That was my first time in the chain. Everything was great. Veggie patty in steak-burger had a meat-like texture and a meat like taste. Worth at least trying, by any means.

My sister and I are from Iowa and we’re so excited to try this place out when we came to California for vacation. It takes technique to cook plant based foods, I can’t even do it sometimes but VeggieGrills food SLAPPPSSSSSS!!!!!! So freakin good, so fresh, so much flavor. You wouldn’t even know it’s vegan food honestly. Such incredibly sweet staff as well. Thank you guys, we will definitely be back when we come by California again.

Great little spot for non meat options. Ordering online is recommend so that it's ready by the time you get there, they make the food pretty fast as it is. Quality is better than most other non meat options and they have some great options. Flavor is there and offer an assortment of sauces, french fries are great!

Customer service was good, but the chili burger was dry and salty. No flavor. a chore to eat, frankly.

I'm not a vegetarian, but really enjoy practicly everything they make. The carrot cake is so yummy. My husband is always surprised that he likes it as much as he does.

When I first ate at the UTC location it blew my mind. Since then the menu changed among other things. The good thing is whether you are getting "salad" or "bowl" it's got good amount of veggies, and that what it counts when you think of healthy eating. We got the Chinese salad, Taco salad, and the Korean BBQ bowl. When ordering they ask if you want the dressing on the side. If you don't like very sour, then take it on the side. Fake beef on the Korean BBQ was spot on. Taco salad was good too. Chinese salad was too sour for our taste, and its chick'n pieces were too dry. I wish they marinated them. Also any salad that has kale in it includes pieces of stem. Yes, they are nutritious, but not very pleasant to eat. Indoor and outdoor seating, and nice modern decor. One of my favorite chains.

Went for the first time. Whenever I'm near, I will come again. I tried the "Santa Fe Chick,'n". The flavor was fabulous. The chicken had a crunchy outer part. All tender and delicious. It was big too. I also ordered Belgian Chocolate cake and it was perfectly rich, chocolatey and moist. I savored every bite. No regrets. ...and I'm very full. I would like to dine in. This time I had to take out. Very pleasant atmosphere. Clean too.

Good chain with full menu of vegan options. Small portion for the size (this bowl was $11) but good quality. there is a burger place next door to this one, so sit inside of the smell of meat bothers you.

I ordered the veggie grill house salad along with the Harvest Bowl. Both were 5 stars and a must try. Very healthy and very tasty. The harvest Bowl comes with grilled tamari mushrooms, roasted butternut squash, turmeric cauliflower, and red beets. Served over ancient grains and chipotle marinated greens. The veggie grill house salad comes with kale, baby spinach, cabbage, carrot mix. Topped with pickled cucumbers, tomatoes, and sunflower seeds. I will order both again in the future. The service was excellent. The people who work there definitely stand out from the rest. A professional establishment with many healthy eating options.

Got the VG Classic Burger, Katsu sliders, Mac and cheese, kids meal (burger), with sweet potato fries, and strawberry lemonade. I recommend it all! Especially the Katsu sliders though, those are unreal. I also love the chipotle ranch, it's to die for. The burgers are so good. The only thing I'd criticize is maybe the Mac and cheese, they have great consistency but the taste is not quite there. I hear it really elevates it if you dump the chipotle ranch in it and mix.

Normally I don’t review chains but this place was great. After a day at legoland it really hit the spot. I loved the romaine salad and the lentil soup was very tasty with good spice. Steven was working the register and he was really accommodating and funny and the restaurant was clean and orderly. Overall a good value. Will definitely go back.

Literally SO GOOD!!! Really had to double check that I wasn't actually eating carne asada! The seasonings are perfect! Shout out to the cooks, they are the MVP's!

Vegan paradise! Order all your favorites without worrying about dairy or meat hidden in the recipes! I had the Nashville chicken sandwich. So good! I need to go back and try all the others!

Really fun vegan grill, with all kinds of amazing dishes plant-based only, the kind of thing you only see in California. But it's actually very healthy and tastes quite good.

I have been coming here for many years! Amazing food. Great choices for everyone. The girl at the front register was amazing. She helped us with all of her needs. She help my mom with her very specific order. And she even help me with my dietary needs to make sure I got everything I needed. The food was delicious and well priced and came out really quickly. I love that they don’t have soda and they have lemonade and water. I’m definitely coming back here.

I'm not a vegan by any stretch of the imagination, but some of my adult children are, and I respect that. Had a VG classic (beyond burger). No other way to say this. It was delicious. Sorry fellow carnivores. It was enjoyable and satisfying. The staff was attentive and professional. Do not fear the unknown. It's really pretty good.

Unique menu. The appetizers were awesome! Always up for something new, I grabbed an order of the sliders. On the first bite, the combination of light and subtly sweet bread contrasted with the pickled veggies gave me pause. The second bite has me curious. From the third bite on I would have eaten a dozen. The loaded 'steak' fries brought me back to my trips to Canada, until I got the Mexican twist. Excellent take on an old standard. The rest of our meal was standard vegetarian fare with flare. Sidebar: I cannot stress how much I love that they use Beyond meat in their dishes (the other brands are just soy with flavor added). One star missing as our table had some crumbs and something wet on the seat. Like they cleaned it well everywhere else, but missed a section that I happened to sit near. Staff was amazing, professional and very personable.

Lazy poor customer service. I asked the young lady with the extremely fake eyelashes if she had a more detailed ingredient list of the veggie burger due to my allergies but she said no and referred me online. She then asked if I was ready to order but I told her I couldn't without knowing exactly what was in the veggie burger and thats when she all the sudden decided to actually help me and handed me a fully descriptive ingredient manual to look at. Not the greatest first impression for my first time there so I won't be back

I'm not a vegan by all means l, was at the gym and one of the front desk girl had "fish tacos" from there. Gave me a bite and I had no clue at all that it wasn't real fish, immediately went there and bought the 2 fish tacos meal plus the nachos, place is on point. Never had anything like this which was so dead on close to the real stuff that it blew me away, I now frequent them all the time, not because im vegan but because its one of the best alternatives I've had

The food was not tasty, I got immunity bowl, sweet potatoes were not cooked, the mushroom sauce was alright, brussel sprouts and tempeh tasteless. We ordered southwestern nachos to share, it was alright. The chili burger lacked chili and not the best we ate.

We’ve eaten here a few times. This time we got the Far East Bowl with Sesame “Chikin” and the bulgogi bowl. Vegan, nutritious and delicious! The staff are always very kind. We’ll continue enjoying!

Sometimes we like to take a break from eating meat... but still feel like grabbing a burger. 40% of those times, we get Veggie Grill everytime. We ordered delivery recently and I decided to order Chick'n Nacos, which were surprisingly tasty. We also tried the Lentil Soup this time and loved it.

The manager, or at least I sincerely hope he is, is amazing. I've seen him here for the past year just killing the customer service game. He's always in a great mood and knows how to brighten customers days. I love the food here, but seeing someone so happy doing what they're doing makes me happy to choose this place for a meal

Absolutely great place for plant-based fast casual cuisine. If you are vegan-curious, try VG and get converted. The fish tacos are a really nice surprise, and delicious. The Beyond burgers are so good, you'll forget it's not meat.

Walked in at 8:55pm and they said they had already closed their kitchen for the night. Was pretty disappointed.

Came here twice. Super unimpressive and over priced. Ordered two different burgers and the Greek Meze salad. I was astounded by the content of the salad versus the cost. There were about 5 pieces of feta in this $11 salad, which tasted more like goat cheese to me. (Yes, they are different). However, the dressing was at least decent. One of the veggie burgers was just gross, while the Beyond Burger was the okayest. Any who, after going to pick up my online order, I was asked to wait outside and was told they would bring my order to me. 30 minutes and several tummy rumbles later, I walked in to find my order sitting in a bag on a shelf, getting cold. After reminding the lady that she told me that she would bring the order to me, all she said was, “Oops, sorry!” Sitting next to Burger Lounge, (which was a heck of a lot busier), I could clearly see the sad difference in customer service, as the Burger Lounge staff carried out food, checked on customers, brought out condiments, etc. We were lucky if these Veggie Grill chicks even brought our food, much less checked on us. Finally, I thought it was pretty standard practice to wipe down tables between customers. After having the privilege of being at Veggie Grill for an hour, while waiting and eating, I observed several sets of customers come and go, with the Veggie Grill staff never bothering to wipe down the tables once. I’m not sure that these practices would even meet regularly restaurant standards, much less pass the COVID-19 sniff test. Do better, ya’ll.
