Great tour with Bonnie…wonderful selection of foods, which were all delicious, and beverages, which were also great and interesting (don’t miss the sangria at Promesa). Nice mix of walking and sitting, just the right number of stops and entertaining information. Highly recommend it!

Our family had a great time on our Classic Food Tour! Bonnie was an excellent guide, so knowledgeable about Carmel (a true local!), fun and funny! We learned interesting facts about the town and tried some delicious food and drinks. Truly loved all of the stops, a great mix of savory and sweet, with some fun drinks as well. We did not leave hungry! It was the very best way to explore Carmel during our short visit, and I would definitely recommend this tour to family and friends.

I cannot recommend this enough for people visiting from out of town, or, like me, local residents. The tours are fun, informative, filled with historical information, and lots of laughs from the tour guides. Not to mention all the stops you make for fantastic drinks, bites, and learning about local retailers and restaurants. I have done this more than a couple of times and all the guides have been great and make sure everyone is included throughout the tour. It's super easy to sign up and the follow through is great. This is a must do when in town!

We attended a food tour with Carmel Food Tours as part of our team offsite and couldn't recommend it highly enough! The scheduling process was extremely easy and Staci was fantastic in helping to answer all our questions and design a tour that worked well for us. Our guide Brian was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond to make our experience memorable and fun. We were able to really bond as a team over amazing food, tasty drinks and a unique experience. Would highly recommend working with this company!

Bonnie was the best tour guide! She gave lots of suggestions on places to go while in Carmel. You can tell that she really loves Carmel and she is excited to share her knowledge with everyone. Every stop we made was neat and really delicious. Can’t recommend this tour enough!

This was my first time doing a food tour and what a fun experience. We were in a Group of 11 ppl. When taken to each place, the food (and drink!) is plated and ready for all participants. To add to the experience is an awesome tour guide (Bonnie) telling about the town’s history (fun facts and stories), the restaurant’s History and the chef. The food was yummy and plentiful. Our guide, Bonnie, was very knowledgeable and fun and our group was very friendly. If your lucky enough (like we were) you’ll enjoy some beautiful California sunshine and voila, the perfect day. Thank you, again, Bonnie and Carmel food tours🙏

Veronica was a great guide. We really enjoyed the food and the walk on a cool Thursday. The sun did finally come out. I loved the secret alleys and the spicy Italian sausage at Nielson Bros.

I took my team on a retreat to Carmel and we did this Carmel foods tour scavenger hunt as a teambuilding activity. My team said it was one of the best they've done. We had so much fun and would highly recommend it to any other teams or groups looking for a fun and competitive thing to do in town. You can also customize your experience and add a food or dessert destination at the end, which I would recommend.

We had a great time on this tour! I’ve been coming to Carmel for over 25 years and still learned new and interesting information. We went to 7 different stops and tried many things from lovely menu classics to things I would’ve never thought to order. Bonnie was very kind and enthusiastic. I wish we had a bit more time at each stop. I didn’t always have time to finish my beverage, but I know we were trying to maximize our stops. Still, I would recommend this to anyone visiting Carmel, whether it’s your first visit or you’re a seasoned visitor!

Veronica did a wonderful job of taking our group of eleven around and explaining the different stops and foods we were sampling. The food samples were tasty . We specially appreciated Veronica's jovial personality.

Bites, Bikes & Bevs Tour on Sat. 10/7 for a company event. So much fun! Fine for most cycling ability levels. The pedal-assist is a game-changer! The bike ride was amazing (the perfect weather helped) and the Bevs-Bites portion was great. Lots of food and plenty of drink. I highly recommend!

What a fantastic way to visit Carmel by the Sea! We had family visiting and this was the perfect way to spend the day - enjoying eclectic tastes/bites while learning a little about Carmel’s history. Veronica was a perfect guide sharing fun facts and keeping everyone engaged. Thanks for a great trip!

I hired Carmel Food Tours for a corporate group and they were fantastic!! Both guides showed my clients a wonderful time, had great info and we tasted fabulous food while walking the quaintest streets!! I highly recommend them for individual travelers and larger groups!

My family and I enjoyed an afternoon with Bonnie from Carmel Food Tours. We had a private tour where we enjoyed fare from quite a few dining venues, the Nut Hut, and Lula's Chocolates. At each venue we were allowed time to enjoy their specialties and even had the chance to meet with the owners of the venues. We were able to learn about the locals, the city, all while feeling welcomed at the same time. We loved it so much and look forward to doing it again. Bonnie went above and beyond. Her bubbly friendly personality made it perfect.

My third time taking the tour with Carmel Food Tours during the 2020 Thanksgiving weekend was a little different from the previous two due to the pandemic. It was stylishly named 'Standing Room Only" food tour! The group today was six guests, four of us and a nice couple, and the tour guide Bonnie (I think that's what she said but with the mask on I could be wrong, sorry). I really enjoyed her company. She was very pleasant and made me feel really welcomed and comfortable. Because of the "Standing Room Only" theme of the tour, I really didn't know what to expect. However, much to my surprise, we ended up seated (outdoor) at three of the five stops. I'm not sure if I should reveal the details, so I'll only share the high-level summary here. Five stops in two hours included (not in order) two casual tasting spots for honey and for chocolate, pairing of wine with small bites, and two more stops enough for a late lunch, with bottled water and with alcoholic beverage. The walks between the spots were easy and at comfortable pace. I'm far from fit but could easily manage. Taking shortcuts on some of many, many alleys of Carmel-by-the-Sea was a lot of fun too. Weather in Carmel-by-the-Sea is like San Francisco. November is often sunny and beautiful. So, naturally we were sun-kissed and no jacket or scarf was needed. All you need is a pair of comfortable shoes and of course your mask (if you are going anytime soon) ;-) Signing up is very easy online. If there are any questions, online chat works great. Once booked, the information such as the meeting spot, direction, tips are easy to understand. Restrooms are available at some stops. Discounts were offered for purchases at honey and chocolate shops. I would love to go again when the pandemic is all over!!

8/27/22- Carmel Food Tours (CFT) was so much fun and would highly recommend for people out of town. We have booked various food tours this is our 8th food tour and we loved all of them but Brian was thee best. Our tour guide was awesome, attentive and knowledgeable. We not only loved the food tasting but also fun facts and history of Carmel.

Our food tour was amazing! Brian was our host and was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and all the different establishments that we visited. He was also rather funny. Just be careful when he starts telling his dad jokes. I would highly recommend this to anybody coming into Carmel by the sea as it really gives you an insider’s view of the different areas and hot places to go to.

This was such a fun and delicious food tour! It’s so nice to discover little restaurants in the Carmel by the Sea area. Our guide, Amber, was really great. She was cheerful, knowledgeable and helpful. I highly recommend this tour if you are visiting Carmel by the Sea. Whether you’re here as a tourist or a local looking to discover something new!

We had a great experience with Amber. She showed us a total of 7 spots. She kept us engaged and gave us tid bits of history about Carmel by the sea. The food was not a lot (based on usual American portion sizes) but by the end of the tour we were not hungry. They do have vegetarian options available. Their website and text features were great! Definitely recommended!

Such a fun way to get to know Carmel By The Sea and sample really great food and drinks! The portions were great. Amber was so friendly and knowledgeable about town. We did the bike and food tour this time and will do the Classic food tour next time!
