Fantastic birthday experience over Labor Day weekend. Loved the food, vibe, and service! Their bread and oil is superior. The pizza was so cheesy and fresh, and the homemade pasta was wonderful! I got the rigatoni and the flavors were perfectly balanced. Loved the amount of goat cheese offerings on the menu!

My wife and I visited this restaurant while visiting the city for the first time over the 2023 Labor Day weekend for a wedding. We found the online Google listing, menu, and website; all appealing. We decided to reserve a table and were happy to get one. Upon our arrival, we were promptly greeted by the friendly hostesses. Our server was Janessa. She was friendly and gave us a warm welcome with a great smile, and asked if we'd ever been to the restaurant before. She explained the menu, took our drink orders, and brought us ice cold water. I had a Peroni draft, and my wife had a nice rosé wine. Warm bread and seasoned dipping oil came shortly after. The restaurant appeared very busy, and my wife and I commented on how lucky we were to get a table. Janessa came back and took our orders. We waited for a very long time, and Janessa came back to the table to apologize for the slow delivery of our orders. Soon afterward, the Executive Chef came out personally with our hot dishes and explained there had been a mix-up in the kitchen. He apologized profusely for the delay and offered a free dessert if we wanted it. My wife ordered the Bolognese, and I ordered the Rustica special. Both dishes were amazing! The atmosphere was so relaxing that, while we noticed the delay, we enjoyed the time to chat. We both mentioned that this restaurant would be a beautiful addition to our hometown of Akron, Ohio, and the Greater Akron/Cleveland markets. I'm a retired Marine, and my wife was able to visit me while I was stationed in Aviano during the mid-90s. The food and attention to detail to its preparation took me back to the Aviano Inn and other area village ristorantes! Ah, yes! I almost forgot our dessert! Sorry, I forgot to take a picture of our Torta di Mele! It's a homemade warn apple butter cake with vanilla gelato and butterscotch sauce. Maybe my wife posted a picture in her review! Bravo! Ciao!

We were in town for a wedding, and got a reservation for dinner. The restaurant is very charming and inviting. Everyone was very friendly. I ordered a glass of rosé, my husband had peroni. We ordered our meals and were brought a nice bread and dipping oil. We waited quite a bit, and our waitress Janessa stopped by to say our order should be out shortly. We waited for quite awhile, then the chef came out with our dishes and apologized, he said there was a ticket issue, and that is not their normal ticket times. He offered us dessert. Our food was amazing! And the dessert was delicious. If we are ever back in Indiana, we would definitely stop again. Accidents happen, I really appreciate the chef coming out and acknowledging the issue. 👍👍 Great food and staff!

My boyfriend's parents love Italian cuisine, so every time we visit them we always find a new Italian restaurant to take them to. Also, when we dined here, this was our 800th new restaurant we experienced since we started dating in 2012. And it was indeed a fine choice to celebrate this milestone. The food was delicious. I had the squid ink pasta and it was perfectly cooked. The lobster sauce was grand; buttery and the melding of the seafood and sauce was divine. I didn't finish it as I wanted to prolong the experience and had it for lunch the next day. Still so luscious. We also ordered several entrees, a pizza as an appetizer, and some desserts. The service was great. Will definitely go back when we're in Indiana visiting family again.

I’ve been twice in this location. Last one I walked out a bit disappointed. I went with the chef suggestion and ordered the catch of the day. A frozen tilapia from Walmart was better than that. By no mean I am trying to be disrespectful but that is the true. 0 flavor! A friend says is my fault because “I ordered fish in an Italian restaurant”. My bad for thinking that a country that is surrounded 90% by water could have good seafood. A restaurant with this prices and this location shouldn’t be having a fish with such a lower quality. For what I saw in the reviews I am not the only one who felt the same way about that fish. Minimum you guys should have sea bass or something of similar quality. Other than that, I am giving it 4 stars because both times the service and most of the food, except for that catch of the day was excellent. The spaghetti Al Nero was new to me and was awesome. The fritto Al misto and insalata di polpo were really good too and same with the deserts and red wines. I am always recommending this restaurant to my friends and coworkers and I am sure you guys can do better about that fish, starting by removing it from your menu and especially from the chef suggestion or daily special. I will be back for sure.

Last pasta I ever need to eat. Torchiette pasta with dried figs, black olives, basil, goat cheese and parmesan. Tagliatelle tossed in beef-pork-veal ragu. The beet salad was a work of art. (My picture doesn't do it justice.) We sat in the bar area and were waited on by Austin. Excellent food and service. I highly recommend!

Came here to celebrate a birthday. The ambience and service was nice. The portion sizes are generous. Very good selection of vegetarian and meat options. We loved everything except the table bread (focaccia we think) which was oiler than expected.

I love this restaurant. Between the food and the atmosphere it is such a great place to dine at. Whenever I go I get the Nero pasta dish. The only thing I’m iffy about is the app that you have to go to in order to pay. Other than that it’s great!

Love coming here. Food is amazing, the monthly specials they have for the pastas are always a must. The service is great and very friendly. Tiramasu is also amazing. 10/10

Delicious food! Id almost given up on bistro dining. I gave only 1 star since they tried to seat us by the bathroom when I made the reservation and told them it was my birthday. I guess since we're a black couple, in 2023 we still get sat in the back. After being moved to the patio at my request, the server was nice and she explained the concept, rotational menu and specials. We had a great time.

#1 Fav restaurant in the whole wide world? Probably this place 😂 I should've taken pictures of all the food, but I was kinda just living in the moment! I did steal a picture of this apple pie-like dessert, though!! It was AMAZING!!! You really can't go wrong with any of their food, but the squid ink pasta "Nero" is very fun and interesting to look at! I had their risotto this time though, and it was SUPER amazing and flavorful! It's a wonderful venue for a big celebration dinner!!

Enjoyed our meal here. The pasta is made fresh in house and tastes really good. Meatballs were a bit soft, but still good. The bread they brought out before the meal was excellent as well.

Another great italian restaurant in Indy!! Nero, Olive E Fichi and beet salad were all so original and tasty. Price is a bit high side but it was worth the money.

Very pleasant experience. Went here for my birthday last minute and staff was very accommodating for a last minute weekend reservation. Great wine and the pasta was made from scratch. Best pasta I’ve ever had. The atmosphere/vibes were great and our waitress was extremely professional and helpful without that awkward hovering. My husband and I will definitely be back.

The food was so bad, it was salty and i got scammed i thought i was getting good pasta but i was getting pasta with nuts it was so disgusting. everything costed 400 in TOTAL. they don’t deserve this pricing for mid food. The rice was too salty and watery what was even inside of each meal it looked like prison MEAL.

Dinner celebration with friends. All 4 had different menu items. Tagliatelle al convivo, fettuccine Alfredo (off menu special request), Pansotti and Lamb Stew with a bruschetta rossa appetizer. The tagliatelle was described as spicy and had just enough spice to earn the description. The pansotti was delicious and perfectly packed but perhaps a little more al dente than preferred. The lamb stew was perfectly seasoned and ver tender. The fettuccine Alfredo was perfectly cooked. All 3 pastas could have used just a tad more sauce but we didn’t ask so that was all on us. The service was impeccable and the ambiance was perfect as we could carry on conversations without raising our voices. I would highly recommend this location.

5/8/22 We we’re back in town this weekend and my wife wanted to go back to Convivio for Mother’s Day. We came across this restaurant about 6 months ago and we were really looking forward to coming back here for dinner with our kids. Convivio did not disappoint. I would recommend making a reservation so you have a table because this place stays busy. My wife and I started with their Beet Salad. Nicely presented and full of flavor. Our Daughter and Son-in-law split a Caesar Salad which they liked. For our Main course, my son ordered Gnocchi, my daughter had tortellini with pumpkin, my son-in-law had the Seafood Pasta Special, my wife had the Bolognese and I had the Elena Pizza. All of our meals were fantastic and very nice portions. The waitress we had (I think her name was Madeline) was awesome and very attentive. A special call out from me on the Martin’s I had - they use real Martini Glasses instead of those martini glasses that look like champagne glasses. Plus the Martini’s were made to perfection. This place “in my opinion” is a great place for food and a dining experience. We decided to visit Convivio after our day in Carmel. We’re glad that we did. The food was really good. My son had Gnocchi al Telefono which he really enjoyed. My wife had Bolognese and I had their Gabrielle but I asked for it to be made with Pesto instead of the red sauce. Both of our dishes were fantastic and it was a nice sized serving for both dishes. I added a nice salad and the Focaccia bread was really fresh. Our server was friendly and when we are back in the area we are going back to try some other dishes.

As a long-time patron, I have always held Convivio in high regard for its culinary excellence and inviting atmosphere. However, my latest visit was truly memorable, thanks to the outstanding service provided by Edgar. Edgar's professionalism and attention to detail significantly enhanced our evening. From the moment we entered, his welcoming demeanor set the tone for the entire dining experience. His comprehensive knowledge of the menu and thoughtful recommendations showcased a commitment to ensuring our satisfaction. Edgar's attentive service, impeccable timing, and genuine enthusiasm were truly commendable. It is evident that he takes great pride in his role, and his efforts did not go unnoticed. I left Convivio with a renewed appreciation for the caliber of service your establishment consistently provides. I look forward to future visits, hopeful that Edgar will once again be our server. Please extend my gratitude to him and the entire Convivio team for maintaining a standard of excellence that continues to make your restaurant a standout destination. P.S. If you don't order the chocolate cake, you're doing yourself a disservice. 14/10.

We loved the restaurant. Our server was very good and helped us with ordering vegetarian dishes. The bread and oil is delicious. The oil has sun-dried tomatoes and herbs in it. We got the Gigli Di Zucca Pasta, without the Prosciutto and the Calabrese Pizza. Both were very good. We definitely want to come back and try some of the other Pastas.

Everything from start to finish was amazing. Our waiter was phenomenal, he gave options and suggestions and was very kind 🫶 The food was absolutely delicious. If you get a chance, try the mussels! Promise you’ll drink the sauce they are served in🙂

Two separate visits spaced over a month both showed that this restaurant values and maintains an inviting atmosphere, polite and attentive service, and delicious food with thoughtful though pricey wine pairings. I did not experience any of the meat dishes, but vegetarian (delicious pizza) and pescatarian (a pasta dish) offerings did not disappoint. The highlight was the pasta dish Nero, with pasta actually made on the premises with squid ink, sundried tomatoes, seafood in a lobster cream sauce. No skimping on the portions or the quality. Buon appetito!

Had a lovely meal. They don't rush you out the door. Was able to have a nice relaxed conversation with my friends. Had a pre meal cocktail, their pineapple songa. It was delicious. Sort of butterscotch with citrus. Food was great. Had the rossa bruschetta and puttanesca with a bottle of Chianti.
