My
wife
and
I
visited
this
restaurant
while
visiting
the
city
for
the
first
time
over
the
2023
Labor
Day
weekend
for
a
wedding.
We
found
the
online
Google
listing,
menu,
and
website;
all
appealing.
We
decided
to
reserve
a
table
and
were
happy
to
get
one.
Upon
our
arrival,
we
were
promptly
greeted
by
the
friendly
hostesses.
Our
server
was
Janessa.
She
was
friendly
and
gave
us
a
warm
welcome
with
a
great
smile,
and
asked
if
we'd
ever
been
to
the
restaurant
before.
She
explained
the
menu,
took
our
drink
orders,
and
brought
us
ice
cold
water.
I
had
a
Peroni
draft,
and
my
wife
had
a
nice
rosé
wine.
Warm
bread
and
seasoned
dipping
oil
came
shortly
after.
The
restaurant
appeared
very
busy,
and
my
wife
and
I
commented
on
how
lucky
we
were
to
get
a
table.
Janessa
came
back
and
took
our
orders.
We
waited
for
a
very
long
time,
and
Janessa
came
back
to
the
table
to
apologize
for
the
slow
delivery
of
our
orders.
Soon
afterward,
the
Executive
Chef
came
out
personally
with
our
hot
dishes
and
explained
there
had
been
a
mix-up
in
the
kitchen.
He
apologized
profusely
for
the
delay
and
offered
a
free
dessert
if
we
wanted
it.
My
wife
ordered
the
Bolognese,
and
I
ordered
the
Rustica
special.
Both
dishes
were
amazing!
The
atmosphere
was
so
relaxing
that,
while
we
noticed
the
delay,
we
enjoyed
the
time
to
chat.
We
both
mentioned
that
this
restaurant
would
be
a
beautiful
addition
to
our
hometown
of
Akron,
Ohio,
and
the
Greater
Akron/Cleveland
markets.
I'm
a
retired
Marine,
and
my
wife
was
able
to
visit
me
while
I
was
stationed
in
Aviano
during
the
mid-90s.
The
food
and
attention
to
detail
to
its
preparation
took
me
back
to
the
Aviano
Inn
and
other
area
village
ristorantes!
Ah,
yes!
I
almost
forgot
our
dessert!
Sorry,
I
forgot
to
take
a
picture
of
our
Torta
di
Mele!
It's
a
homemade
warn
apple
butter
cake
with
vanilla
gelato
and
butterscotch
sauce.
Maybe
my
wife
posted
a
picture
in
her
review!
Bravo!
Ciao!
