It used to be so much fun to work out in this gym, but nowadays there are way more people at the gym and the machines are always on hold. If someone is working out, it's fine, but if they're on the phone, they'll say they have four more sets and so many things. But I am no longer a member of this gym.

I continually experience, and others have experienced (and complain including myself numerous times) about the steam room in this club. Management does not seem concerned- at any level of the company- on placing a sign in English-Spanish (and whatever other ethnicities frequent this club) so that members (guys) understand how it works. It’s not the old rock saunas you throw cold water on the sensors. That shorts it out and ruins it for everyone- including myself. The GM said it’s an Operations issue. I asked is part of your compensation based on membership? No answer as I’m sure it is. I’ve stopped going to this club and now go to el sporta in Lombard. Same company- same club-different market and name. One thing that is not the same is THEIR STEAM ROOM WORKS. My guess is better management.

Two weeks ago, they have been saying we will fix the steam room. It is not working yet, and the sauna room is not hot This is not the first time. I will cancel my family subscription.

This location is a den of thieves and liars. They are more than happy to promise you rates, refunds, and agreements that they will in no way follow through on. For 4 months I have tried to get them to stand by their word only to be strung along with an increasingly complex chain of deceptions. Do not trust Nicko (the gm).

One of the nicest locations I've been to. Locker rooms are clean and bright, infrared sauna is spacious compared to some older locations. Whirlpool spa in the men's locker room is nice. This location has a steam room as well!

I tried to use a guest pass here to see if I even wanted to sign up. The girl at the front brought me to her desk and said "I have been instructed to not give you a guest pass because you've worked out here more than a few times with your boyfriend." My boyfriend doesn't even work out here and doesn't have any LA Fitness membership. My brother has worked out here and he has brought his girlfriend every time they're in town, but I have not worked out here ever. Hence why I wanted to use the guest pass that you can request online to see if I even like it here. I have requested a pass in the past and then never ended up trying the facility/activating the pass. Then she told me "I am conflicted because you're telling me you've never worked out here, but my boss is saying you have. I can just sign you up real quick for a membership." Um why would I want to sign up for a membership if I've never tried the place and why would I want to pay money somewhere where they're already accusing me of being someone else.

About to swim..had a club member scream at me ....to shower. Unfortunately I had to threaten the assuming member to stay away from me. As an angry black male..it was risking jail. If it woulda' been one of my son's being harassed... Ida' been in jail. Dry sauna stays broken. Before this..refered two work associates who became members and couldn't even get a free towel. What would you think?

1. The sauna room is broken for more than 2 months. My experience even fixed it was not hot enough. 2. The steam room is also not working for months. 3. The spa water is not hot enough. You are a signature club but Compared to the Glendale Ht. and other nearby LA Fitness the Carol Stream location is too much inferior. Obviously the management is very poor. I have been a member for more than 40 years from, I would not recommend to my friend or relatives to join this location.

Wow! This is not my home gym, but I sure wish it were. Very clean and spacious. I love the layout and the turf area. Lots of machines and squat racks. I will definitely return!

Really nice workout environment, clean and organized. Friendly staff. Nico is very helpful, always smiling and made sure everything is always working properly.

should’ve wrote this awhile ago bc there’s a new manager but the old gm lied to me and charged me double what he said for months. I always confronted him about it and he told me to wait it out. He got fired apparently so I called corporate to see if I can get some of my $ back. They said it’s my fault and I got myself into this mess. They wouldn’t do anything to help me out. They didn’t believe me. I guess i called too late moral of the story corporate can really care less about you.

This was my first time back since COVID (yes, I know... I've been lazy getting back to the gym). On this day, I participated in the aqua aerobics classes. I noticed there was a distinct 6-inch bath tub ring in the pool. Definitely needed some cleaning. I mentioned it to one of the staff and they related something about the cleaning company being behind and understaffed.

Rack bar Machine needs frequent oil lubricate. It's very hard and not smooth when use. Compare to other LAFITNESS facilities.

Overall nice, clean, well equipped. Nice staff working there. Only issue, it's always so cold inside, fans running all the time , sometimes even air conditioning running when temperatures in low 30s. Talked to staff, and they said people from California are the ones controlling it.

Workout here 4 days a week. This is the cleanest gym you’ll ever find. The staff is always cleaning the machines, the floor, complete hose down of bathroom. I’ve never used the showers, tubs, or sauna. Plenty of machines to use but they need more attachments for the cable machines.

This is a great club. There are a large number of machines and free weights. I typically go at 6:30 am and rarely have to wait for a machine. The only times I have an issue is when one of the rare people who try to hold 3 machines at once gets in my way. They have a jacuzzi and saunas as well as a lap pool. The cost is right in the middle of lifetime $$$$ and the strip mall clubs $, but the level of stuff is closer to lifetime but the cost is much less. I think it's well worth the cost.

Friendly staff and great workout environment. The only reason why I gave 4 stars is the sauna and steam room haven't been working for a couple months now and still not fixed.

Probably one of the better LA fitnesses I have been to. This club is clean, organized, and well maintained. Way better than my home club which is a Signature Club.

I had a wonderful experience as soon as I walked in. I love the location, the equipment, the hydro massage beds and the tanning beds. I love planet fitness.

The gym and the equipment is incredible and the staff is super friendly. I would 100% recommend this gym as it has everything you need and the staff goes out of their way to help.

Very well kept club. All the workout equipment I can use. Sauna and whirlpool are great for after workout relaxing.

Everything about this club has turned around since Senna has came here. She cares about creating a good environment for the members and always addresses our concerns. The club in general is beautiful and clean.

This club is outstanding in large part due to the GM. Senna is incredible in every aspect you can think of. She cares for the members, gives the best deals possible, and is genuine/supportive. She always addresses everyone’s concerns and she’s very friendly. Don’t ever hesitate going to her for a membership. She will get you the best deal and you will enjoy this club a lot.

This gym is super clean. They have enough dumbbells. My only wish is that the weights section was larger, so it isn't as cramped. Overall, the staff is kind and helpful. It's a great price considering all the things that you get with the membership

Coming from someone who’s never had a gym membership, I used to think that bodybuilding was only for narcissistic “meatheads”. How much farther from the truth that could have been. There are more than a handful of reasons why you should get a membership. Whether you’re someone that’s already an athlete or someone that’s barely getting started, LA Fitness has everything you need. The locations are clean and tidy so you shouldn’t have to worry about the current predicament that we find ourselves in today. I would highly recommend not only getting a membership, but talking to the staff about using your complimentary personal training session. This is where I found the most value in working out regularly and not just trying to take it upon yourself to get in shape and lose weight. There is a lot of science that goes behind why you’re not seeing the results you want. They can teach you proper form and technique which helps avoid injury or future health problems. Another important thing they explain is how to schedule your workouts and meal plan. Ultimately this is a great investment for anyone no matter what their body type, LA Fitness will show you how to get to your ideal weight and live a longer healthier life. Ask for Caleb at the front desk, he’s a great guy and one of the best trainers.

I been in this gym few years, been asking for floor mats forever, you can see the dirt on them they never clean, some have missing parts,is not enough for everyone, the gym smell bad, am so disappointed, keep asking manager for months .

For me this gym is comfortable and has all the facilities I need to do exercises 🦾💪🏿💪🏻🤜🏼💥

Came here to sign up and start working out. The kids at the desk had no idea what to do, told me I had to come back during the week between 8 and 5 when the manager was in. Come guys, you can do better than that...

Great place , clean the Machines are maintained . The Steam room has been down for a week now . All clubs should do P/Ms , keep logs on performance and hours of Service . It’s the Hospitality and Service industry . It’s an Escape .
