This
review
is
soley
for
the
Restuarant
and
not
the
rooms
etc.
Went
here
for
a
meal
in
the
resturant
on
Friday
15th
Dec
2023.
4
of
us
dining.
Rang
up
and
booked
in
for
7.15
pm,
we
turned
up
around
7pm
and
where
taken
to
our
table.
Place
did
not
seem
overly
busy.
Staff
where
chatty
and
friendly
and
took
a
drinks
order
and
left
some
menus.
Nice
of
selection
of
food,
with
a
mix
of
Christmas
Fayre
and
Traditional
food.
Decor
is
very
bland
,
dull
and
unexciting,
I
know
it
is
a
listed
and
historic
building
but
my
goodness,
those
chairs,
what
can
I
say.
Throw
them
out
and
get
some
decent
resturant
seating
in,
they
are
the
most
horrible
chairs
I
have
ever
seen
and
not
nice
to
sit
on.
Thankfully
that
is
where
any
bad
points
ended.
My
friends
ordered
the
Home
Made
soup
for
starters
and
I
ordered
the
Deep
fried
brie.
They
all
said
the
soup
was
delicious
and
my
Brie
was
lovely
and
a
good
portion.
Next
to
the
mains.
I
had
the
Short
rib
of
beef
and
the
rest
had
the
Turkey
and
Ham,
I
must
admit,
the
Short
Rib
of
Beef
melted
away
from
the
bone
and
was
a
pleasure
to
eat.
All
others
said
the
Turkey
and
Ham
was
very
nice
indeed.
For
Deserts,
we
opted
for
3
Apple
Crumble
with
Whisky
and
Cinnamon
and
1
Cheese
Cake,
Everything
was
perfect
,
Cheese
Cake
was
one
of
those
odd
deconstructed
types,
but
it
was
very
much
enjoyed.
Overall
food
was
really
enjoyable
and
it
had
been
a
long
time
since
I
had
been
to
Dobbins
for
a
meal
in
the
Resturant.
Staff
nice
and
friendly
food
good
tasty
portions
and
resonably
priced,
slightly,
only
slightly
let
down
by
the
Decor
and
the
seating.
