The worst place! Never returning to this joke! I used to order from them often and today was the end. The place gave me charred meat, dry and looked like it was sitting there all day. I called and was told to return it. I cooked food for my kid after the disappointment we had. I then, took the food back. I was asked to check my other order, I did and when I arrived, the manager laughed and said no. He accused me of lying said the food was eaten and kept saying no. Said we ate the food. I said are you serious right now? He said yes and said no way that was not eaten. I cannot believe the embarrassment I went through. Karma got to you because you were so focused on how I was wrong and ended up refunding a higher priced check. I respect the industry and the people that work in this field, but was very upset at how much disrespect and embarrassment I was put through. The manager even took a picture of the food. Ok go ahead I know we did not touch it so it doesn’t bother me. My conscience is clean!

My in-laws used to come here all the time, but it seems to have gone downhill. We came for dinner on a Saturday night. The restaurant is dark inside, didn't seem very clean either. Service was lacking, as it took a while for our server come to our table. The menu has many delicious-sounding option, but the reality was a disappointment. The shrimp enchiladas tasted no different, if not worse, than any major chain restaurant. The frozen watermelon margarita didn't have much flavor or alcohol either. The guacamole was excellent, though. They charge for chips, who does that? We likely won't come back and will go to a different Mexican place when in the Carrollton area.

Not an atmosphere, maybe the staff was tired from the Lunch time rush? Arrived at 2pm. The person at the front door was rather rude as we walked in the door. The waitress was a Super B”!/?h. Snapped at me, asking If I was going to eat……almost replied not Now You Fiiing Bi7!7h!!! Put in my order for fajitas, she basically threw the bean and rice plat at me. Did the same when she brought out the fajitas. I even said thank you…and got no reply. I’ll give kudos to the Chef/Cook, meal was great, but, Definitely won't be returning.Better attitudes and more appreciation of customers at other Carrollton places. Cafe Brazil is just down the street..next time😎

Would not recommend this place to my dogs. Service was extremely lackluster. The Bar smelled like mold and one of the refrigerators was open constantly showing condensation. The food was NOT authentic as the sign says. It was my first and LAST experience with this place. BEWARE! happy hour is a Joke! Texas law states that you can have 2 drinks for one person. I asked for 1 more margarita before happy hour ended and was told I had to finish the one I had before I could have another. They make you pay for more than one basket of chips and salsa $3.95 ( not worth it) My wife is from Monterrey Mexico and even she says the food is not authentic nor that great. When I tried to talk to Manager to explain my experience she wouldn’t even talk to me in English totally ignored me and talked to my wife in Spanish. GO TO THIS PLACE AT YOUR OWN RISK! I think they need a health inspection to be honest.

Not what I expected. 1st your first batch of chips and salsas are free, which not many chips and even less salsa. Any chips and salsa afterwards you have to pay for.. The restaurant itself very dark and gloomy. Waiters were not friendly at all... I only ordered appetizers because of the service and atmosphere was giving HURRY UP AND EAT and go.. The drinks were very strong which was a plus. Overall I won't come back to this establishment.

Omg! I must say that I was pleasantly surprised about this hole in the wall restaurant the food was off the hook ! 🪝 I was on my way to Chinese buffet and then I saw this out of the corner of my eye. There was hardly any parking on the Sunday.. My wife and I went in to survey the land. There was barely any seating left inside the building. Building looks dated but oh my goodness the food will take you to another place. I had a Margarita I did not even taste the alcohol. Let's just say my wife had to drive home and I had to take a nap. I can't wait to bring my friends coming into town in 2 weeks for some real Mexican .

Something was beeping the whole time we were there. Ask what it was, “they didn’t know what we were talking about. My husband comes in 2 times a week. We asked for more chips because we could not scoop sauce with all broken small pieces, then we got charged for second basket of chip. Asked for sweet tea and was given unsweetened. After being told to add my own sugar. Then I ordered a Dr. Pepper and we were charged for 3 drinks. Asked for corn tortillas and were charged for them as well. We got the Greengo treatment already. Only order one meal, street tacos and waitress said, Nachos, we kept saying, street tacos!!! One meal and two drinks was $21.00. We get the message, YOU DO NOT WANT US BACK. And we were regular customers. Too bad 🤯😱

I feel strongly about this one, because I have loved this place for 17 years! I used to live just across the highway from it when it opened and would go either to eat or just hang with friends at the bar at least once a week. They had the most amazing food in the most amazing people and service! I have since moved away, but go every opportunity I get. I took my mom there about 8 months ago for the first time and she absolutely fell in love and begged to go again after a doctor appointment just yesterday. First, they have opened up the bar and made the whole place non-smoking, which I guess is fine, I don't smoke anyway, but I don't mind it and always loved the Smoky little bar atmosphere, but I guess we should have expected that to change at some point. Everything about this place was amazing prior to my last visit from the chips and salsa to the food to the drinks to the service... this trip, the chips were not freshly made, in fact they were stale, My Salsa had a chunk of something in it that tasted like it was going bad. We both ordered enchiladas with the works, and all I can say is everything was awful. This is not even the same food they used to serve. It seemed evident that they are Under New Management or new owners or something. I always buy a couple of dozen fresh hot tortillas when I'm leaving, but they don't do that anymore and didn't act like they knew what I was talking about. Anyway, if you've always been a fan of Los lupes, don't bother. This is not the same place. On a positive note, well prices have increased everywhere, their prices have not changed, but still not worth the price. My mango margarita was amazing!

Great place for lunch or dinner. Los Lupe's is a bit out of the way for us and is why we stopped going but it's really a great place to grab dinner. Very fast, great bar, and friendly service. The place could be updated a bit but the food is great.

I wish I could add more stars to this review. Los Lupes is so good. We went to get breakfast on Sunday. The menudo was one of the best. It comes in two sizes and the large is no joke. Everyone left happy. I wish I had taken a photo. Service was good our drinks were taken care of and we can’t wait to go back.

This is my first time so far the salsa and queso are very tasty delicious actually better that Uncle Julios. If you live in Carrollton area definitely try this place is quiet you will enjoy it. The only thing I have to say negative the food was testing great besides my chicken salad the shell was stale, please don't do this it's not worth it. Dear owner I will advise you to take a trip to Mama Angie's Mexican restaurant and try the chicken salad from that place and you will see why.... and my last thought I will focus more on quality not quantity you have too many options on the menu which everybody knows it's not possible to have all of this cooked fresh .Thank you I will definitely come back here

We’ve been coming here for years and always enjoy ourselves. It’s close to home, casual, and friendly. Food is good… swirls are great. Happy hour till 7:00. Usually, there is not a wait to be seated. Or, if you prefer, you can eat and drink in the separate bar area where lots of people like to hang out, especially after a long day at work!

I went to this establishment at 11:20 AM on Monday, October 2, 2023. There was NO BUFFET (which I came for) but that’s okay, I would order from lunch menu. I was barely acknowledged when I entered the building. After being seated and giving my drink order, I sat there for 10 minutes before another waitress came and asked me had I been helped. She had seen me walk in and be seated. The enchiladas had a petroleum taste to them. I slammed the food down and left without tipping! It will be a long time before I ever go back to this place. The food and the service has really fallen off.

I have never felt the need to write a review but this place food was so bad I had to say something. Service was good and the salsa was delicious but when we got our food we were greatly disappointed. The “ceviche” was disgusting (picture below) and the spinach mushroom quesadilla was soaked in grease and tasted gross from what I was told. I’m sure there are some good things on the menu but we didn’t get lucky. Good service otherwise but we will not be returning.

They have the BEST Salsa I have ever had. I regret not taking any home. Their food is also delicious and you can tell it’s freshly made. I haven’t had such good Mexican food in 6 years! (Since I left my home in California) Servers are friendly and the interior decor is nice. Prices are good. I had the combo plate with two beef burritos, a tamale, a taco, rice and beans. There were a lot of regulars there on a Wednesday night, which tells you their food is good and that they take care of their customers. Can’t wait to come back!

I come here all the time with my friend or family and always have a good time! To think, I only ever came here because my school bus driver recommended it to me over a decade ago. The food is very good! They, of course, have the "generic" Mexican/Tex-Mex options, which are done very well, but they also have several unique items, which is what I look for in restaurants. Everything I have had, from Specials to Appetizers to Tacos during Sunday breakfast, are amazing. Whatever I order, I know I will enjoy it! The staff is always nice, and they seem to go out of their way to remember you and treat you as if they actually do appreciate your business. Honestly, I only have two issues, if any, with the place. The first is that they are almost always out of ceviche, even though it is on the menu. I love ceviche, and theirs was good the one time I was able to order it, but it isn't too much of an issue with how many other great options are on the menu. I never had problems with anything else on their menu being out. The other issue is the men's restroom, for which I gave the atmosphere only four stars. The dining room and the restaurant as a whole, otherwise, would be 5 out of 5. Not my sort of vibe, but it goes well with the theme. However, I don't like how small the men's restroom is and I never like a restaurant having one person restrooms. I don't think the restroom is dirty, just maybe outdated and tight spaced. Not a fan of the paper towel dispenser being over the toilet. I don't want water dripping on my hands from washing to land on the toilet and have to wipe it up after already washing my hands. Oh, and to anyone wondering, they do give out free chips and salsa. Signs on the table say they charge for refills, but I never been by any of the staff.

One of my favorites places to go! My kids eat so well with the molcajete!!!! It would be great if they can have a bigger place. The one in Addison is bigger but food in Carrollton it’s a lot better!

Fast service, free endless chips for 2+ people. Breakfast options are nice. Their tacos are really tasty, but I hope it also comes with cilantro, onions, and lime.

We have always loved going to Los lupe's. My family and I decided to make the 45 minute drive to enjoy our favorite Mexican restaurant 45 minute drive to enjoy our favorite restaurant. The food was okay. The service was absolutely horrible and they were not busy. And then our waitress came and asked if she could remove our plates and before I could even say anything, because I was not done with my food, she threw a bunch of dirty napkins on my plate and walk away with it. My husband and daughter never even got drink refills despite having asked for some. I guess it's time to look for another restaurant now.

I used to eat here when I taught at Newman Smith. I have missed this place since moving to Tarrant county. The food quality is what I remember. I ordered the. Shrimp Brochettes. The shrimp was fresh and sweet. The accompanying foods were good ant perfect temperatures.

Good food. Our waitress was great. She answered our questions. The restaurant was busy for a Sunday night. The restaurant is clean. Reasonable prices. I will return again. I liked the chips and salsa. Staff was friendly.

For me this one of my top 5 restaurants of all time. I've eaten there over the course of the last 20 years and still love it almost as much as I did when I first went there. There items whatever you order typically is served at your table within 5 minutes their food is perfect. My only caveat is that they used to have quail and other dishes which they do not have any longer. If you like I'll send it give it a try I think you'll like it too.
