Thought of sharing my experience with Bay Leaf Garden - Carrollton so that you can decide whether to go there or not.For the first time; I took a carryout of chicken 65 and chicken biriyani from them today and it was the worst experience we ever had in our life.. The biriyani was cold and on top of that was having very odd rotten smell  ( which you get from old stale food). We couldn't  even taste it since we could not even bring it near our mouth due to the stinking smell...Chicken 65 peices were hard to chew and we couldn't eat that too. I hope this doesn't affect my wife's health since she is pregnant. Wonder what quality checks happen in these restaurants. On top of this, I called the restaurant and the person was very arrogant and rude to even admit this.

We recently order food for our son’s birthday.supposed to come at 6pm, which they delivered at 8pm. Also chilli chicken and butter chicken were so sour, which we asked why. The answer surprised us, which he said sometimes it comes out good and sometimes no. (We were in that NO list). One more thing, before we order the food it says free delivery. The guy who came to deliver with food asks $150🙄🙄 for the delivery charge. The sad part is we had to waste a lot of food because of that. Never ever recommend the store. So rude. They don’t care. No responsibility.

We aren’t big eaters of Indian cuisine, but the few times we have had it, it was okay at best. However, Bay Leaf Garden has changed our minds about what Indian food can be. Sanu Thomas’ restaurant may be in a Texaco station, but the food is killer, packed with intense flavor and a delight to the palate. Portions are large and easily shared, and our first visit makes us want to visit again soon to try everything he has to offer. Don’t overlook this neighborhood gem. It will make you want to visit India and chow down like a local.

Extremely disappointed!!! Gobi Manchurian was black - either rotten or burnt. Tasted terrible. Such a waste of money! Also they charge you way more than the price mentioned on their website.

Do not miss - Mean / Fish curry and Kappa , parotta , medu vada , idli , chutney . One of the best taste of authentic kerala dishes and fresh . Also pocket friendly on an average. Do try their coffee . Made my Pregnancy craving so much better

Tried few items Price Quality quantity Great surely will visit and get a better feel for other Items. Chef is great person has a passion for his Kitchen and Preparation. Must Visit place.

Excellent food. When I picked the food, they were piping hot and freshly made. All the dishes were excellent especially Appam & Fish Molee, made with Salmon, this is a must try. It was the BOMB💥!!!! Will definitely order again.

Pricey food. $15 for rice and one entree, no sides, no drink. Regarding the entree, I ordered fish curry, so it has 6-7 pieces of fishes and curry. nothing else. It's not a reasonable price for me. For the flavor, it's quite salty in the curry. So I didn't see any highlights on the flavor. So, with an not quite tasty entree, with a high price, most probably I don't recommend this restaurant.

Called and talked to someone for a specific guest count when I ordered the food it was not even close to enough. Thoroughly embarrassed me in front of my guest. In addition food was poorly made. Several better options to choose from.

The place is actually a takeaway pretending to be a sit down inside a convenience store attached to a not so busy gas station. You should go to Bay Leaf only if your primary motive is tasty South Indian, or more specifically, Kerala food. On that front it is excellent, and value for money.

A hidden gem!!! Seriously one of the best Indian food joints in the DFW area if you're into Kerala cuisine.. The 'restaurant' is a hole-in-the-wall, but it's form over function I suppose!! Very inexpensive for the quantity and quality of food.

Amazing Mallu (Kerala) cuisine at reasonable prices! Since only one chef who does everything, there's a bit of a wait sometimes; especially on the weekend lunches/ brunches. Out of town-ers - the Austin soccer team made a trip here and left with full bellies. They sat on 3 bar stools at the counter. I'm a bong by birth and I love the food. I took some as my pot luck contribution to an Indian-Hispanic get together, and everyone loved it!

Can be more authentic to few Kerala Dishes. Overall a place thar brings Kerala flavors. Must try is beef roast

If you like Greek food, you have to give Stop n go Gyro a try. They have something on their menu for everyone. Great prices, huge portions, and even better authentic tasting food.

My favorite take out place. The chicken biriyani here is terrific! Beef fry taste good. I had take outs from here for about a year now. The quality of the food was consistently stayed good. If you order ahead by phone, service is quick.I have tried chicken curry and fish map pas . They were tasty but a little bland for my taste. Only items that I would not recommend are the Indo Chinese items in the menu.

Highly recommend! May seem a bit shaddy due to the the location being part of a gas station but don't let that turn you off. Great quality and generous portions at a very fair price. Will absolutely frequent in the future.

Highly recommend their Chili Gopi!!! Especially with the homemade raita and citrus chutney. Samosas were good, but re-warming them would have been nicer. Portions for entrees are very large and piping hot. It will be nicer when the weather cools down, though: hot air was blowing in when door opened and their AC / fan was not up to the task!

I wish I could give them 0 stars. The price is through the roof, not reasonable for the quantity they give you. And the taste of the food went down dramatically compared to before. Now it tastes like the food you get from a trash can. The owner should close down his restuarant if he has any dignity whatsoever.

We got Fish fry, Chicken Biriyani, Goat mappas, beef peralan and parotta. Parotta was just ok, nothing else was good

Had a catering order and the food was delicious. They even sent me a special container with chai to keep it warm. Would definitely recommend

Worst customer service from the management, not the front desk and no time sense at all. Ordered food at 12:50 and had been told it will be ready in 40 minutes. Went at 1:50 and food was not ready. Waited til 2:30 with a toddler to get the food, it was not ready even then. Was told it will take another 15 to 20 minutes. Nothing special I ordered, just butter chicken and fish fry with paratas. Very unhappy and disappointed.

I have been wanted to taste the Kerala food for so long and then found bay leaf. They have the most of the Kerala authentic food prepared fresh. I liked all the snacks(banana fry, paripuvada, sughuiyan) over there. I ordered chicken fry, Kappa, fish curry coconut, avial, thoran, mango curry and appam was the best. They have a good amount of veg options and non veg options particularly the beef fry tasted heaven. The front desk staff were so polite and humble. The chef was very humble and talented. Their service was good. The waiting time was 15 minutes long, but it was worth the wait. All my family enjoyed the food. I will definitely visit the next time as they said they have Sunday specials.

I really wanted to taste Kerala food. Finally I found this place. Ordered chicken biryani, goat curry, parotta. None of family members liked the food . After a bite , we packed and hand it over to homeless on the way to my house

The food was very good. This is my first time here and I will be coming back. And the workers where so nice.

We just went to this place a second time for parotta and beef. As always, I think this is one of the best places for authentic Kerala dishes.

Biryani is nasty here and it's the worst cooked biryani. Wasted $38 for a nasty chicken biryani, definitely not gonna finish eating either. It's going straight to the trash. Don't spend your hard earned money on this place. Horrible customer service too smh
