My experience 4+ weeks in has been nothing less than exceptional. As a novice I enjoy the technique and the practice it requires to become skillful at this art. You hear of individuals getting their black belt in a martial art within a year or 2. This doesn’t happen in jujitsu. Which is part of the reason I enjoy it so much. It takes time, practice, and plenty of humility to learn this art. The instructors have been phenomenal and the students have been nothing short of friendly. Jujitsu is well worth your time and focus. You won’t be disappointed with your experience or with the instructors.

Juijitsu has taught me humbleness, discipline and that learning never ends. Now I'm blessed to have my son being trained by the best. I have seen a great positive change in him, he is more confident and active, he is learning discipline and also having tons of fun. Carlos Machados dojo is the best in every single aspect and I'm extremely thankful that we are part of this fabulous world. Highly recommended.

Machado Jiu Jitsu in Carrolton has a great reputation but their business practices seem rather predatory. Requiring a 60 day cancel notification for young people who don’t necessarily understand all of the requirements and when no courses or other resources have been consume is just not honoring any type of sound business practices. They come across like a gym membership. Keep this in mind when you consider doing business with them.

Shopping for an academy in my neighborhood and this academy is seriously in the running. Professor could not have been more knowledgeable, thorough, and professional. Classmates were super cool. And, zero pressure to join. Don't need it when you are that good.

Tremendous BJJ school, led by Master Carlos Machado. If you want to train real BJJ with a legend, this is the place.

Grew a love for the community and the art of Jiu Jitsu here. The professors are world class and friendly. The people are lovely. There’s no place I’d rather be in the evening than working hard in class here.

This is a great place to train. There are a large variety of skill levels. Lots of higher belts that are all willing to share knowledge and techniques regardless of your level. It is a fun and challenging sport but extremely rewarding and addictive.

We started at first with a free lesson. My son (10yr old, with autism) wasn’t interested at first. After trying it again, he had a blast. Ray is very hands on and helps the child become more comfortable. The way he instructs the younger kids from what I’ve seen is great.

My daughters had been coming here for 3 years and took a pause during the pandemic. They came back this year and still love it. Coach Ray, Brad and Tony are phenomenal instructors. I would highly recommend to anyone interested in BJJ.

We cannot say enough about RCJ Machado Farmers Branch. Two of my boys and I come here to train. The instructors are top notch and being near an all time great (Master Carlos Machado) is simply amazing. We are 6 months into our journey and have had a wonderful experience. Kudos to all those who help put together an amazing program.

I've been training with Carlos Machado for nearly a decade. Every class is enriching and balanced with detailed techniques and great grappling. There is a fantastic beginners program that I recommend to anyone interested in trying BJJ. He is the best in Dallas!

I've trained here for nearly 3 years now and I can't imagine training anywhere else. If you are looking for a place to learn BJJ this is the place to do it. The school is clean, students are friendly and very helpful, and master Machado is very involved and dedicated to improving his students physically and mentally. Just an update (2018-06-08), I am now more than 8 years in and still very happy to have found this school. The Machado's have the kindest heart, our techniques continue to evolve, and i would not even consider any other school as my home away from home.

Amazing gym!!! After I moved to Dallas from WI two months ago I thought it would be hard to find another great Jiu-Jitsu gym. But Carlos Machado BJJ has really been wonderful. The staff are super welcoming and make you feel like family. The coaches make sure the students are achieving their goals and really want them to do well. For example, I was out sick a whole week and told my coach, Brad, that I felt like I was falling behind. He took time out of his weekend to meet with me and go over the techniques I missed out on. I would encourage everyone to come and try a class. Jiu-Jitsu has so many benefits and the people you get to train with are great!

Professor Brad and Professor Tony are very attentive and teach in such a manner anyone can learn the beautiful art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Everyone is humble and have been wry welcoming from my very first visit. Joe will be the first person greeting you when you walk into the facility. He will answer all of your questions and get you acquainted with the Academy and the programs offered. Higher ranking belts also share their knowledge and are patient with the less experienced students. This is a great learning and friendly atmosphere. Very professional and humble. It has been a great experience, my only regret is not joining sooner. If you want to learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu the right way, Carlos Machado BJJ Farmer’s Branch is the place for you. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is LIFE!!

I met Prof. Carlos Machado over 17 years ago at a JiuJitsu seminar he taught in Las Vegas, Nv. It didn't take long(1 month) that I decided this was the instructor for me. I began commuting from New Orleans, La. to the Dallas academy to receive instruction from the best JiuJitsu instructor in the southern U.S. Carlos promotes confidence, discipline and old fashioned hard work to help you achieve your martial art goals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
