I'm so glad that we chose this place for our elementary school daughter. She has learned so much from them and all of their instructors know how to keep all of the kids engaged. She started when she was 4 and has never stopped wanting to go every week. The monthly fee lets you attend any classes throughout the week that works best for your schedule. Our daughter likes to go 2-3 times a week which is just the perfect amount for her. They even currently have karate lessons in the park which is great to get them out there in the fresh air. They want every single kid to succeed one way or another and they don't quit on them. They don't see their students as a $ sign, but a potential future team member or instructor at their school.

My son has been attending PowerKenpo Karate for 6 months. He's gained a deep appreciation for karate and looks forward to attending class. All coaches are amazing with the kids. They are patient, knowledgeable, and has a great way of breaking down the techniques for even the younger kids. They make it fun but also incorporates life lessons into the class.

My daughter joined Power Kenpo about four months ago and we love it! All of the instructors are awesome. My daughter plays multiple sports but we wanted her to try Karate to help with her discipline, agility, and focus. We feel we can already see a difference in how she plays and she loves karate, too. I can see her confidence growing after every practice and she tells us that karate relaxes her and she feels like it’s increasing her strength and agility, too! The studio is neat and very clean, and we will really like the outdoor classes, too. The schedules are very flexible and it’s easy to find classes to fit our schedule. I can’t wait to see my daughter advance and keep learning and I feel Power Kenpo is a great place for your child to learn karate as well as gain confidence for whatever they do in the future. My son is in his 5th year at Power Kenpo, and we couldn't be happier with the studio. There are a number of classes to choose from throughout the week, which makes it easy to fit karate into any schedule. This past year, they added park classes a few times a week, and we not only love the extra measure of safety during the covid-19 pandemic, but the chance to spend more time outdoors. The instructors at Power Kenpo are fantastic and really care about each child. They work hard to help students progress through karate rankings and, even more importantly, to grow as well-rounded, kind people. It's been great to see my son develop leadership skills and a desire to work with younger students as older ones have taken him under their wings. In addition to classes, my son has also participated in a number of day and summer camps. He also loves the monthly Parents' Nights Out (as do my husband and I). There's just so much fun at Power Kenpo. I see it being a part of our lives for years to come.

Our daughter decided to go for karate and we were lucky to find this amazing place, with great, friendly and professional coaches. Power Kenpo karate is teaching the kids defensive techniques, healthy skills and discipline. Alex loves her time at the studio and every class has been teaching her a new skill and she cannot wait to come home and share her class experience. Outstanding, caring staff in a great facility and location. Lots of flexibility in class choices. Our granddaughter can't wait to go to class and has attended 3 times weekly since she started in early July. She has made great progress in her karate skills, but even more importantly, in her self-discipline and confidence. We couldn't be more pleased with our choice of programs.

My wife and I enrolled our son at PowerKenpo when he was three years old, and he's been attending for the last 7 months or so.  We started him at PowerKenpo after spending the summer taking him to soccer and watching him interfere with the class, flopping on the floor, and refusing to participate. He started at PowerKenpo the same way. All of the instructors did a phenomenal job of working with my son, firmly but not harshly.  They invested a lot of time and energy into getting him engaged. They all have connected with him, and he now fully participates throughout the class, and has fun, too. The instructors demonstrate a great deal of passion in their art, and they do a great job of passing that on to their students. As an example, just today, I caught my son doing star block with one of his dinosaurs. Another way they have truly amazed me is their ability to remember names.  With all the kids enrolled, after just one visit, they welcome you back by name on the second visit. They have set up a good structure for the different classes, with plenty of classes throughout the week. PowerKenpo incorporates personal growth and development in more than just learning a martial art. They have a program in which teens learn the skills necessary to coach, teach, and lead; and the teens are given the opportunity to practice those skills by helping to run classes. This has been great to see as my son has been attending classes - it lets me know that he won't outgrow the program.

This is the BEST karate studio in the area. My kids have taken karate here, gone to the camps, and participated in numerous Parents Night Out events. They *thoroughly* enjoy themselves AND they learn so much! My son is not exactly the most coordinated individual on the planet; but spending time in karate has really helped him develop his coordination and grace. The instructors here are amazing and work so hard to make sure the kids (and adults) keep learning and doing their best. They are good motivators because they love what they do and they love teaching. My kids have grown in self confidence and in character. One great thing about this school is that the instructors don't just teach karate, they actively teach character issues and about growing up to be people of honor. I would recommend this school to *anyone!*

This studio has been a life changing experience for my daughter. It’s helped her learn discipline, better manners, commitment, and self confidence! Since the staff has many female teachers she has some amazing role models for her to look upto. The studio is always spotless, staff very polite. They truly love karate and the kids they teach. My daughter has been working hard learning her techniques and they have helped her feel so proud of her efforts! All the kids enjoy the class while having fun. They allow easy scheduling and rescheduling if needed. The price is extremely affordable. They also offer calls and private lessons. We love this place and will be going here for years to come.

I cannot rave enough about Power Kenpo. Our family LOVES going to class and they have such amazing instructors with just the right balance of discipline and silliness for the kids. I love and appreciate seeing all the women instructors they have, which has been such a great influence for my daughter. They have a wide range of classes and times that fit our busy schedule and we even get to do karate in the park every Saturday! And my daughter got to cut her birthday cake with a sword for her karate birthday party. Best party she's ever had! They took care of everything!!! Plates, candles, food, everything!! We look forward to many more years at Power Kenpo.

I don't have enough words to describe this martial arts school! 
 We have been a part of Power Kenpo for the past 15 years. With the help of the fantastic instructors (and other students), in these 15 years, one of my kids earned one junior black belt and 2 adult black belts. (Every time he returns back from college, he is back to put more work in.) The other child is working on earning her first-degree black belt. The instructors are absolutely amazing! They are always looking to improve their way of teaching! They are constantly updating their curriculum! They are asking the students and the parents for feedback! One of the highlights of their curriculum is the leadership program. After the kids complete the program and when they are eligible to work, the school offers them jobs! On top of the regular classes, they offer camps, organize birthday parties, “parent night out” parties, and the list goes on and on. 
Everyone there is willing to help you, from the newest students to the more advanced ones, and of course the instructors. We love Power Kenpo!

We LOVE PowerKenpo! My kids have been participating in PowerKenpo for over a year. Their progression in this style of martial arts has been fun to watch. I expected them to learn how punch, kick, block, break a few boards, and to get a decent workout all while having some fun. All of that has happened. What I didn’t expect was how the PowerKenpo program would improve their confidence, focus, and drive. The instructors are all very proficient in teaching Kenpo, but they also talk to the students about leadership, time management, and other critical skills. In fact, I was so impressed by the program, I took the plunge myself and enrolled in PowerKenpo as an adult. Everything I said about the kids’ program is true for the adults as well, but we also get to use weapons (safely) from time to time, which is awesome. Not having done anything athletic for a while, I was a bit concerned if I could keep up. Just know that you can go at your own pace. Everyone, from instructors to other students, is genuinely encouraging and helpful. If you are looking for a place for your child or yourself to train in Kenpo and gain some valuable life skills along the way, I can’t recommend PowerKenpo highly enough.

My kids did a week-long trial at Power Kempo and really enjoyed it. I love that they work with the kids on discipline and they really empowers self- confidence. They have several class options and love they they even offer outdoor options. The teachers seem to be caring and invested in the kids. They also teach self-defense classes which I will be participating in this week and I'm sure it will be great:-) In addition, as a active PTA member and on the special events committee, I have worked with James, the owner, for the last 2 years as Power Kenpo has partnered with Castle Hills Elementary in community events such as our school carnival where they have set up a booth and had the kids do power kicks and hand out candy which was a blast for the kids:) They have also financially supported our school, donated several raffle prizes, and they are a great community partner supporting our kids and school!:) I would highly recommend PowerKenpo.

Recently my teenage son participated in a self defense class at Power Kenpo. It was amazing and very educational. The sensei had some excellent advice for conflict resolution, and then taught them ways to protect themselves. He reminded the boys that fighting is not always the best choice in a situation. With that said, he showed the boys some moves and easy ways to deescalate a situation. My son had attended Power Kenpo when he was in Kindergarten so I’ve known the owner for almost 20 years. He has always had the same high expectations for the students yet he makes it fun and educational. This is definitely the best karate school around!

My child has been with PowerKenpo since she was about 5 years old almost 2 years later she loves it as much if not more than when she started. Sifu and all the staff there became like family from almost the first day. Their passion for the art is obvious and that same passion becomes contagious to their students. It's karate, self defense.. But honestly, it's so much more. Sifu and his people instill confidence, drive, integrity, focus and give lessons that can be applied in daily life. If you are looking for an activity for your child, tiny or teen.. Look no further. PowerKenpo is the place!
