(Translated by Google) Nice sculpture in the sea. Beautiful views of the surroundings, with the Naval Museum (old Penal of Cartagena), the promenade full of old cannons ... and on the other side the old Nautical Club, beautiful and very white building from the beginning of the 20th century (Original) Bonita escultura en el mar.

(Translated by Google) This sculpture was anointed in 2017. It is 5 meters wide and 8 meters high. It is a very beautiful place with the tail of the whale coming out of the water. The atmosphere is nice. There are also the basija and the square where you can take some very nice photos. It is worth going through there. This is close to the naval museum and many other museums nearby.

Interesting content, displayed well, but a lot of the interactive exhibits aren't working - not sure whether this is due to Covid, or other reasons. Entry was free, though, so I can't complain too much!

(Translated by Google) It doesn't make much sense to find this sculpture of a whale's tail in the boat dock on the pier, next to the old Cartagena regatta club. The idea that might seem original is just one of the innumerable ways our politicians have of wasting public money. The five-meter-wide work, made of steel by Fernando Saenz de Elorrieta, we do not believe that it will influence the influx of more visitors to the already very touristy city of Cartegena, which already has many and better tourist attractions. Among others, its ancient Roman theater, its port, its Town Hall, its magnificent modernist buildings or the most current National Museum of Underwater Archeology, among others. In short, one more way of squandering everyone's money by our low-skilled politicians.

(Translated by Google) Anecdotal sculpture that catches on the way to the isaac peral submarine. Very much in the style of those put on roundabouts, to see this whale tail, much better sculpture that of the sitting man, right next to it. I would not go expressly to see her. Yo no iría expresamente a verla.

This is a large museum, on the port next to the marina aptly enough. We parked in the underground car park on the same street and it was a few minutes walk to the museum. Entrance was possibly €6 each but I can't quite remember. The museum is modern and well laid out, starting with an explanation of what marine archeology actually is, what it covers and what it tries to achieve. It also showed how the tools and resources have changed as technology moves on but also the dangers as the treasure hunters become equally sophisticated. The later section is a chronological display of items recovered and an explanation of how maritime trade worked and what the trade routes were. This started with a Phonecian vessel and continued to the nineteenth century. There is also a good little shop and I think there's a cafe on the upper floor but we didn't go there. We spent over an hour inside and it was a fascinating visit.

Took the opportunity to visit during the Museum Night weekend and was super impressed with the exhibits displayed. Though it was quite disappointing to see that not all stations were functioning i.e. interactive buttons does not respond (not sure whether it has been deactivated due to pandemic safety measures). Overall a great exposure to the underwater archeological history and would definitely recommend families to visit as means of educational purposes!

Super museum! ⭐⭐⭐ I really liked the idea of combining a visit to the museum with a quest. For children to look for superheroes in different locations and win prizes. The children are not bored and it was interesting for us to look at the exhibits. There are a lot of different eras and even interactive expositions where you can interact with different objects. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

This museum is located immediately to the right as you leave the cruise port. Walk between the two large buildings and go down a slope that resembles the entrance to a parking garage. Entrance is free for seniors if you have proof age (65+). The museum focuses on the archaeological history of the development of shipping on the Mediterranean Sea from Phoenician time to today. It details how shipwrecks should be studied when discovered so as to preserve them and their treasures rather than plundered. A well designed layout leads you past interactive and static displays showing how wrecks are discovered, surveyed and protected. Many recovered artifacts are on display as well as cross-sections of ships of different periods and how they constructed and loaded. A not to be missed museum if you have an interest in nautical history.

This marine archaeology museum in Cartagena is superb. Amazing artefacts from Phœnician , Roman, Byzantine, Moorish and Spanish wrecks, all incredibly well preserved and conserved. A set of Roman slingshot bullets looked like they were freshly cast, as were ingots of lead, tin and bronze. A big set of very large Roman anchor stocks were a great surprise as they were all well preserved lead castings too. A modern, stylish and very well presented museum. Level access throughout.

(Translated by Google) Very interesting museum where you can learn more about underwater history and the work that archaeologists do when they have to do their jobs under the sea. It is very close to other tourist elements of the city. Apart from the typical exposed elements (amphorae, ceramics, metals, etc.) There are also interactive elements such as a glass cylinder where you can see the low visibility you have under water as you descend height. It is not an excessively large museum although I know it is quite beautiful architecturally. There is the typical souvenir shop that usually exists in museums. Highly recommended for families with children as well as for individuals.

Interesting exhibition. Currently free entry for all visitors until 31 December 2021. It is very close to the Cruise port terminal.

Great museum. Hard on my feet, there's a lot of slow walking and standing still. Some interactive exhibits appear disabled, covid?

Interesting place to go round some interactive items not working due to covid restrictions

It might be a nice museum. However, we did a stop-over at Cartagena in order to visit that museum but it was closed without any information why.

A fascinating museum, not very large but packed with exhibits and artifacts. Lots of information about cultures and shipbuilding in addition to the artifacts from Neolithic to modern times. Plan to spend at least two hours here.

A fascinating exhibition giving me a greater understanding of how goods were transported in the past, how ships were built, loaded and unloaded, and some of the remarkable objects discovered underwater. Amazing displays, models and dioramas. A national treasure.

This Museum is small but interesting. 3€ entry fee... next to the lift that takes you up the mountain for a fee.. Its series of tunnels that were used in the war..gives you a good idea of how people lived and shared the space in those difficult times.

Free on Sundays, a good mix of interactive exhibits and artifacts. I loved getting to see the items from the ancient world. Most plaques have Spanish and English although I saw pamphlets that had other languages available. It’s small but we’ll worth a pop through

Fascinating small museum telling the story of how shipwrecks are excavated. Excellent information in Spanish and English, with other languages also available as leaflets. Not a huge number of exhibits but very well chosen

Interesting museum with a considerable amount of information in English. I far the best exhibit are the remains of a wooden Punic ship that are 2700 years old. The museum staff is Spanish only. You wonder a bit why they employ three guards if they sit together in one corner all the time.

A relatively small museum, and very interesting. I'm not sure small children would get much out of it as most of the first half of the museum involves a lot of reading. There are some great models and artefacts in the second half though, and the ship cross section is a highlight.
