I hate leaving mediocre reviews but here we go. I ordered: 1. Malai Kofta - hottest level 2. Butter chicken - 2nd hottest level 3. Muglai shrimp - hottest level Pros: - they definitely get it spicy for you - plentiful helping of shrimp in the muglai Cons: -they all tasted the same. In the online the pictures, the gravies for each dish looked very unique and customized. When the dishes arrived they were nearly identical. It all tastes the same. I was very sad. -wayyy too much cream used in the gravies. It made it way too rich and and detracted from the flavor of the fish. Normally the gravy is the best part, but I ended up picking out the meats and leaving the gravy behind. - instead of chunks of chicken, they sliced it SUPER thin. This caused the meat to be completely drowned in the gravy and you couldn't taste it. It also made it so the amount of meat in the actual dish was very scant. The butter chicken was basically all gravy. I'm annoyed. The chicken bites also had some gritty, grizzly ends that made a very unpleasant mouthful that I couldn't eat. -malai kofta balls were decent but lacking any raisins or cashews in the actual gravy. Once again the gravy is doused with so much cream it was unpleasant. -where were the mushrooms in the muglai dish? Summary: In the words of Destiny's Child: "You got me sayin': no, no, no ,no, no..." I don't know if I've ever ordered an Indian meal where I wasn't excited for 2nds, but I'm not excited for seconds. With high food costs and delivery fees, it just wasn't worth it. Tip: I'd recommend getting VERY contrasting dishes in order to insure you don't end up with 3 identical gravies.

Came in, friendly, chair a bit uncomfy, food is good. Customer service was very nice. Kids got butter chicken, think it was wood grilled chicken (if its not, that is a problem), wife got the nice and hot shrimp stuff on a sizzling plate, pretty decent. I got chicken Tika Masala (i ate the whole thing). We also got chilli chicken (alright), somosa chat (a bit cold), but was still better than some of the places we've been to in the triangle. The tea was disgusting, and soda did taste like it ran out syrup. I agree with some of the other posts that the chicken tastes old, it does. I think they are freezing it, and thawing it out too quickly, or freezing it cooked, than taking it out each morning. Even so, ate the whole thing. Spices were on point. -1 star for the drinks and chicken, but, definitely edible compared to some of the places we've been visiting. Enjoy the picks

First off, as soon as you walk in the place seems warm and inviting. Decor and space is very cute. There's pleasant music and a beautiful fragrance in the restaurant. Service was overall slow today. Our server seemed to be more interested in her phone. I had to call her to come take our order. Food is really nice. Below are items we ordered with review. -mango lassi: really good! -Himalayan masala chai: milky but still tasty. Probably one of the few chais I enjoyed at a restaurant in the US -veg classic momo: this was a little disappointing. I expected more maybe. There was too much salt in the stuffing. It comes with 2 sauces which were nice - butter chicken with butter naan: husband and son loved this! Probably the best butter chicken we've had in the US. Usually at other places the dish is too sweet. -veg chow mein: this dish was weird and different . Usually this dish is simple and doesn't have and sauce. Not sure if this dish was made Nepali style. If the sauce was less maybe I would've enjoyed it more. Overall I highly recommend this restaurant.

This was a Gooood Indian place! We ordered lamb korma and this Tandoori meat and veggie sizzling platter. The korma was good! The folks were Really nice, they were busy and short staff but the served everyone and it didn't feel like they were understaffed. They did space dinners out, so I did appreciate that :). I would definitely go back if I happen to be on that side of Cary again!

Food was very delicious, service was excellent even though they were very busy. I gave them 4 stars because the bathroom floors were nasty and sticky, toilet was clean though. We’ll comeback for sure, hopefully they’ll improve in this area. Great and quick service.

The folks here deserve a statue. This is by far the tastiest Nepalese (and Indian) we’ve had in the area so far. We’ll definitely be driving here from Durham. It’s so worth it. We got the salmon masala, lamb, and garlic cheese naan. Everything was perfect!

Amazing food. The samosa chaat is my absolute favorite anywhere. The curry can be better some days than others, but I have never had a bad meal here and will always be my go to for “Indian food”.

My British husband and I have been dining here for about a year. Curry is now the british national dish and these curries are a close facsimile. He always goes for the lamb bhuna and I love any of the vegetarian options. We've eaten here about eight times in the last year and found that it is best to avoid any fried food. Also the soups were not to our liking. We ate here again yesterday and the curries did not meet our expectations. No idea why. We arrived early, so maybe they didn't have stuff ready? The breads did taste great. So the tandoor oven was fired up. Anyway, they only have an all day menu, so lunch is not cheap. We will continue going there for now as it is the closest to a british curry as my husband can get.

We ordered the chilli fried momos (spice level medium), thukpa (spice level medium), and tandoori chicken (spice level mild plus). I liked the side of rice and dal that helped cleanse my palette as my spice tolerance is low. Overall, if you're craving momos in the US, this is the place to go as they not only are delicious but offer multiple options as well.

Title: An Unforgettable Culinary Adventure at Kathmandu Kitchen! Review: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My recent visit to Kathmandu Kitchen was an absolute delight! From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with warm smiles and a cozy ambiance that instantly made me feel at home. The restaurant's authentic Nepalese cuisine and impeccable service left a lasting impression on me. Let's start with the star of the show—the Chicken Thukpa. This traditional Nepalese noodle soup was a burst of flavors that awakened my taste buds. The tangy broth infused with aromatic spices was the perfect balance of warmth and zest. What truly made it outstanding was the addition of tender fried chicken, which soaked up the flavors of the soup and added an extra layer of deliciousness. Each spoonful was a delightful journey that left me craving for more! Another dish that stole my heart was the Chili Chicken Momo. These bite-sized dumplings were a work of culinary art. The thin layer of dough was expertly wrapped around a succulent meat stuffing that oozed with juiciness. The balance of flavors was spot-on, with a tantalizing blend of spices that left a delightful heat lingering on my palate. It was a truly heavenly experience that showcased the chef's mastery of Nepalese cuisine. Aside from the exceptional food, the service at Kathmandu Kitchen was second to none. The staff was attentive, friendly, and eager to accommodate any special requests. They went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was exceptional, providing recommendations and answering any questions I had about the menu. The restaurant itself exudes a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The decor beautifully captures the essence of Nepal, with vibrant colors and traditional elements that transport you to the heart of Kathmandu. Whether you're dining alone, with friends, or with family, Kathmandu Kitchen provides a comfortable space to enjoy a memorable meal. Overall, my experience at Kathmandu Kitchen was nothing short of extraordinary. The Chicken Thukpa and Chili Chicken Momo were the highlights of my meal, offering an explosion of flavors that I won't soon forget. The combination of excellent food, friendly service, and a welcoming ambiance make this restaurant a true gem. I highly recommend Kathmandu Kitchen to anyone seeking an authentic Nepalese culinary adventure.

Disappointed! It was my first time visit there the environment was fine for dinner. If I talk about the taste it wasn't good I'll give 5/10! I ordered Veg pakora, Samosa chaat, Chicken Chow-men noodles, Butter chicken with butter naan & garlic naan. The chicken chow-men noodles tastes very bad 👎🏼 worst chow-min noodles I ever had I complained the server & returned it so she didn't charge me.The butter chicken tastes okay not that good I had better than this. Samosa chaat was okay & butter naan was the only thing I liked it was perfect but they burned the garlic naan I regret ordering that. I believe they should change the chef to serve better food service!

Most authentic Indian food I have had so far! I ordered the lamb somosas, shrimp tandoori, garlic basil naan with tika masala sauce to dip the naan and all the food was so delicious and flavorful. Please just trust me, you wont regret it! Updated: Photos added

Fantastic Delicious Food! Service was friendly, professional and attenuative. Lots of gluten free options too. The GF Papadum was a flavorful GF alternative! my wife who is not gluten restricted enjoyed her Steamed handmade Nepali Dumplings stuffed with Finely Chopped Veggie, cottage cheese, Special Herbs, and Spices. We both loved the Tandoori Chicken. Best we have ever had.

Loved the decor and vibe inside. Makes it feel great from the minute your foot crosses the door. Food also really impressed me. Momos alone really sold me on the Nepali cuisine in general, but the bhutuwa was also really tender and delicious.
