We went here on a weeknight to celebrate a job promotion. We had to bring our children with us and I was surprised they had kid fidgets, coloring book, and a kids menu! Our waitress was extremely attentive and the food was excellent all around. The sweet potato side dish was Incredible BUT you must like sweet things because it's coated in brown sugar (which I love) but if you don't have a sweet tooth I could anticipate not liking it. The steak was done to my husband's liking and the grilled chicken for my salad was done superbly.

This was excellent! The sauce on the spicy lightly fried shrimp was so good. I could have that as my entire meal. The salmon was seasoned well and the broccoli was soft! I had the $40 dinner-salmon, salad, with a vegetable. The serving staff made us feel like family and that alone would make me go back! Including our drinks(wine and cocktail), lobster, salmon, salad, fries, broccoli, shrimp- $171. They don’t have military discount.

Didn't actually get to eat the Cary location. :( The maitre d' and myself didn't see eye to eye on my choice to wear my hat. I've eaten at several other locations without any problems and didn't expect to have any issues. This gentleman had other plans for my night. I can only assume the food would have been great. Walked down to BoneFish, wore my hat over my bald head and had a great meal! Photo is my steak at Death and Taxes. Another fantastic establishment in downtown Raleigh that allows hats with $900 tabs. Until we meet again ;)

Service was okay - the waiter didn't come by often but was nice to reheat our undercooked steak. We were seated upstairs near the isle and it seemed crowded. It felt like we were eating in the hallway rather than in a dining room. The table shakes when we cut the meat and the table space was way too small for 4 people. The sweet potato side was way too sweet (dessert like). The flavor of the ribeye was okay but it had too much tendon, making it difficult to cut and chew. The USDA prime steak at Costco feels more tender than this. Overall, not worth the money. I had better experience at outback steakhouse for less than half the price.

For a fine dining experience, I am sorely disappointed. My wife's order was completely swapped with another dish. Our server (Ethan) was unable to keep our drinks filled and we had to remind him on multiple occasions for requested condiments. From us finishing our meals to us receiving the check, it took 20 minutes. Total dining experience took almost two hours when it should not have exceeded much more than an hour. On top of that, the manager did not speak to our table once, but spoke to every other table around us. He avoided our table like the plague. I hope this situation is rectified but I do not expect it to be. Will never visit again.

I don't give a 3 because I think it's bad, I am giving a 3 based on a "worth it" scale. So please read my review based on that. I fully believe that RC should be a place people enjoy at least once for the awesome experience of being fancy and having good food. However, for the cost of the meal, it isn't really worth it especially to families with kids. We ordered the 3-course meal option. Hubby had the gumbo, with the petit filet and shrimp, and the garlic mashed potatoes. I ordered the ceaser salad, and the spicy salmon with crispy shrimp, and the garlic mashed potatoes as well. Dessert was a mini cheesecake with a small scoop of ice cream (could have upgraded to a different dessert for +$5). The salmon was freaking amazing! I can't praise this salmon enough. The flavor wasn't spicy, it was a delicious blend of heat and sweet, thanks to the honey Thai flavor. The mashed potatoes were perfectly done, a solid bowl of yummy garlicy buttery goodness. I'm not a fan of shrimp, ever, but they were good. Hubby's gumbo was a solid gumbo, and pretty yummy. His steak was good, but there was one side much thicker than the other side, so the inside was cooked semi-uneven. He said his grilled shrimp was good. The dessert was fine. The ice cream was just some basic ice cream (not even vanilla bean) and the cheesecake was rather dry, probably overbaked. Would be nice if it had a strawberry drizzle or something. Was the food good? Yes! Was the atmosphere good? Yes! Was the service good? Mostly yes! Is the cost of RC worth it for the meal? No. You could probably cook a steak just as good if not better by buying a cut from your local butcher and broiling/searing it yourself. And I guarantee someone knows a recipe for honey-Thai sauce. But is RC worth experiencing at least once? Definitely! Note: I didn't take photos of food because it felt inappropriate to do so at a place like RC. I didn't want to treat the experience as casual. So here is a photo of the front entrance. Also, kudos to the complimentary valet service. That was awesome!

Ruth Chris is very good but is missing its quality mark in its food. Steaks should be cooked to flavorful quality and not burned with red interiors. What happened to quality? Side orders are over seasoned. Where is the quality at Ruth Chris? Management should not rest on its name. Review the quality.

While in Cary for a work event, my colleagues and I had dinner at Ruth's Chris Steak House. We met at the bar for cocktails, and I ordered The Filthy CEO, which is a dirty martini with blue cheese olives. It was a great martini. I started with the lobster bisque, which was just ok. I had the filet and creamed spinach for dinner, and it was delicious. My steak was cooked perfectly, and I enjoyed a nice glass of cabernet with my filet. For dessert, I had the creme brulee and it was so delicious. It was a very nice meal.

My dad wanted to dine here for his birthday and we were disappointed! The food is not worth the price and the manager was not friendly. My family and I walked into the restaurant and no one greeted us. The manager was standing at the host stand with two hostesses and he did not say a word once we entered. He also spoke to several other tables, but never looked our way. The best thing about this dinner was our waiter, Joseph! He did an excellent job and he was very friendly. We will not be returning to this location and will be sure to mention this experience to family and friends.

Went to this restaurant for a Christmas party. My first visit I might add. Most of the food was delicious. The broccoli and steak house salad weren't a favorite. All the other dishes were superb. Our wait staff was great especially Evelyn. She always had a smile on her face and was always pleasant. Overall my experience was great and I will definitely return.

Very nice ambiance as you would expect from a Ruth’s Chris. The steaks are well portioned, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to your expectations. The sides were equally delicious. If you haven’t tried their cheesecake, it’s definitely worth it. We really enjoy coming here.

Very disappointed in our most recent, first time visit to this location. As we were eating a roach crawled across the table. Totally ruined our upscale dining experience. To make matters worse management only offered to move us to a different spot in the restaurant and a free dessert or drink. We politely declined and asked that our bill be comp'd. We ended up with a bill 50% of the original cost, but we should have not been charged anything. I have reached out to corporate with no response as of yet. We definitely will not be dining here again.

Overrated! Guys, your complimentary bread basket and butter? was terrible. The shared stuffed mushroom starter was nothing to write home about. The steaks were good and cooked the way we wanted them, the sides were mediocre. I had my fillet Chesapeake style. It was very clumsy in it's presentation. The bottom of the asparagus was woody. Creme Brulee was ok. Cappuccino was plain. Our server was attentive. Decor is outdated.

We usually go to Ruth Chris when we are celebrating a special occasion. This night was no different. Except that it all went wrong. It was Easter Weekend and they advised Specials however Cary Ruth Chris would not honor their posted online specials because they are independently owned and do not have to. And for this night they would not even allow the Classic choices that include a side. So paying $69 for an entre and $15 for sides not to mention $19 salads and appetizers at $22 took our normal dinner from $280+ $56.00 tip to $370+ $88.80 tip this was for Three ppl and we did not even get a drink or a cocktail. I'm sad to say the NEXT celebration (Mothers Day) or whatever. We will not be choosing Ruth Chris.

The food is very good here, but it's not worth the price. The portions of sides are at least half the size they used to be. Our server rushed us to order; it wasn't relaxing at all. We had to ask for a few minutes three times. Once our food arrived, she vanished. The atmosphere was loud and bustling. Over all of just want the special night that I'd planned. They have a separate gluten free menu that is fairly extensive. I had no problem with safety. The food is delicious, but that one element doesn't justify the price tag given the rest of the experience. I have no need to go back.

This was my first and only time at Ruth's Chris so far. I'm just not that sophisticated I guess. It was a good experience, I was with great company. I didn't pay so I wasn't disappointed in the least. That said I wasn't impressed either. I had the ribeye and it was a really good steak--not the best I've ever had yet still really good. The steaks are better here than Angus Barn (I ate there just a few weeks prior to this visit). I think I'm getting old and my expectations might be getting up there, too. I'm not knocking the food or experience, I'm just more value oriented, I think.

The steak was well prepared and cooked to the temp we requested. The sides, well, they left much to be desired. The potatoes were undercooked, and when they brought out a new one, they were undercooked as well. It was decorated nicely, but expect to hear everyone's conversations because the tables are very close together. The service was great.

This is surely your go-to place if craving for steak 🥩 Beautiful decor, exquisite drinks & top notch food. 🥂 Great location with accesible parking. Decor and ambiance, elegant. Wide variety of wine selection and cocktails. Dessert is a must. I would encourage a bit more attention on behalf of waiters.

The steaks were OK. Definitely not nearly worth the prices. I've had better steaks at pool parties. The appetizers were awesome. The service was above average, but definitely not incredible. All in all, it was pretty disappointing after all the hype and the prices. And I didn't even have to pick up the tab.

In the past I've enjoyed Ruth Chris during dinner hours. I came in today with a small group for Easter brunch and ended up ordering dinner instead. I'm very disappointed! I ordered a cowboy cut steak mid well. After a couple cuts I could tell the steak was medium as blood was in my plate. I notified the floor manager whom proceed to have me cut down the center of the steak which further proved what I'd already told him. He took my $78 steak has the chefs reheat it and returns it well done and dry. At this point I'm upset but not going to send it back again as the rest of my party is well into their meal. If they were not able to correct the steak without over cooking it, it should have been completely redone! At least my sons enjoyed their kids meals. I ended up bagging it up to go. Not the way I planned to spend my Easter.

Food was bomb! We went here during our weekend trip to Raleigh. We got the thick cut pork chop, stuff Chicken, roasted Brussel sprouts & the Au gratin potatoes. (Chef's Kiss🤌) 10 out 10 would definitely recommend.
