Really cool hostel with a hippie style, very friendly and helpful manager. Nice interior, clean, great roof Terrace with two turtles which loved eating banana. All in all charming riad which was worth the price.

I'll miss them. A place that makes you feel at home, the private rooms are great. A spectacular rooftop/lounge, a nice location and best of all, the attention of the host. I have nothing but good things to say about this, everything has been spectacular. They have helped us when we have asked them a favour they made us an exquisite Moroccan dinner and they have always been taking care of our confort. In short, awesome!

There was a bedbug infestation while I was at this hostel- and all they did was spray some pesticide on the beds and wash the sheets. As travelers know, this will not kill an infestation, so there will absolutely still be eggs and bugs in those mattresses. A quick google search showed me that lots of other guests experienced bedbugs. I only wish I’d seen those reviews before, it would have saved me so much trouble. The hostel is also really grimy, I had problems since I’m allergic to dust mites. We didn’t ask for our money back for the whole stay, all we asked was to cancel our future nights there. The manager agreed to meet with us and then didn’t show up. He then ignored my emails. We didn’t want to stay in a hostel with bedbugs, so we ended up losing hundreds of dollars to them, while also paying for a second, cleaner accommodation. I’ve never written a bad hostel review in my life but I really don’t want anyone in the traveling to get bedbugs when they can be avoided.

Located in the middle of Marrakesh, cozy and beautiful rooftops with excellent service. Standard marokkean breakfast (you have to like) and rooms same as almost everywhere in Marrakesh Riads without windows.

Hussein was a very kind host; a gentleman, he know the city so well, and has endless hospitality and empathy for curious travelers. Upon my 2 AM arrival, he still went outside to get me food. The place has a lot of beautiful details—and is in a central location to all the sights of Marrakech. You will not be disappointed 🫶🏼 love ya Layla Rouge!

I would like to thank for her warm hospitality and kindness. We arrived quite late and were greeted with moroccan tea and shisha like we were family. The riad itself is truly beautiful and traditional - could have spent all night taking photos! The breakfast was filling and delicious and we met the owner Abdellah before going to the desert in the morning. He explained the way the riad was built and showed us photos of all the work. I will definitely be staying here again on my return.

Perfect Location close to main square. The Hostel itself is really cosy and genuine. You get a great view over marrakesh from the rooftops. You got to love your two hosts Ismaïl & Mohammed who are there for you 24/7 always in the mood to share their music, food and expiriences !

Nice quaint place. Hard to find if you don't get picked up from the airport. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The tours that they offered were pricey for what they were. (We did the camel riding and atving.) We had a single room which I found to be much nicer than I expected. It was pretty big with a queen size bed. Only issue was shower head was broken.

The hospitality and service from the employees was excellent. They made me mint tea upon arrival and cooked breakfast in the morning. The room was quiet and cool with the AC. Only negative is that there is only one shower in the bathroom so you might have to wait to use it especially if the room is full.

Great hostel! Very homely feel, extremely friendly staff, hot showers and comfortable beds. Easy to meet other travellers and in a very central location. Special mention to Ali who was very knowledgable and answered everything you needed to know promptly and thoroughly. 10/10.

Lovely, homey hostel run by wonderful people. Very clean, staff always available and the constant offering of tea and cookies was so sweet. There's a reason this hostel was ranked top 3 hostels in Africa and the middle east! It's awesome! My only regret is booking our excursions through different company - layla rouge puts them on at good prices. Loved this place!

I stayed here for a week at the end of April with my brother and it was brilliant. The hostel manager Abdel was great, showing us where to go and constantly helping us feel at home. You get a great free breakfast with endless tea and coffee. DO THE COOKING CLASS! It's so fun and about half of the price of ones people found online. We also did the Sahara trek which we booked through the hostel which was great value. Met some great people over the week. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing place with amazing people, check the rooftop Liked · Rashid and riad´s staff are super friendly, the whole riad has amazing friendly vibe that you can feel while being there. Met very interesting people while being there. At the arrival you are offered tea and you can chill with it either in the courtyard or even better on amazing rooftop (i could spend there whole day, really great for naps:)) The location is just a few minutes from the old centre with markets, you can have food and do shopping there, great for getting lost and found again(if you like the idea). The place exceeded my expectaions, though i had none (expected to only sleep there), but i was happy to stay there and while coming back from other citites, we booked this place again. While not expecting us, Rashid even offered us light dinner which was amazing after 4 hours of train ride. Can recommend this place Disliked · last day i had to work, wifi is rather slow for that, not big issue if you just need to do fb and other social media stuff, not suitable for work

Best place in Marrakech with the best host. Hanging out with the other travelers on one of the three roof terraces is the best. Really feels like home and would definitely come back if I ever hit Marrakech again.

A beautiful hostel set in the middle of the medina. A perfect location, traditional feel, cold AC, amazing free breakfast, great terrace, and a host that goes above and beyond. The host Rashid welcomes you like an old friend and makes you feel at home. Every time I returned to Marrakech I felt happy to return to Riad Layla rouge hostel. Could not recommend more

Recommend to everyone to spend in Riad minimum 2 or 3 nights. You can’t feel Marrakech without spending time in Riad
