This is an amazing family-run little restaurant in Cascais, where you feel catered for, and pampered, really. Owners are very humble and incredibly attentive. The house wine jug is kept in a special cooler-wrapper, so it's really chilled and crisp, while the pots the seafood rice and beans come in are made of thick steel and have a lid on, so the food is kept piping hot throughout dinner. Basically, you can feel attentiveness and care at every step of your visit. And I mean it literally. I do not remember when was the last time I saw a toilet room so sparkling clean in a restaurant before! Really recommended and preferable to all those other tourist traps.

The Tuna Steak was fantastic and prompt service. Was even impressed on how well the staff handed a patron who spoke little English and no Portuguese who didn’t like his order when it arrived. 34 euro for a nice meal (salad too but not in the photo)

The food is awesome. The owner is very kind. If you plan to come on Saturday night after 19h30, better reserve a table in advance.

Best food we have had in Portugal… we shared an octopus, salmon and shrimp and bean stew and we absolutely loved it. The prices for dinner are a bit higher than lunch offer but we were still very happy.

Delicious food! Service was v friendly and attentive. Slightly off the beaten track. For 2 - We shared the clams which were cooked in a lovely buttery sauce and the prawns with beans and tomato dish. We also had a plate of chips which came v hot and cooked well. Size of dishes was reasonable (not too big/not too small) and the cost was relatively decent compared to other local places that are more expensive. All our plates were empty and we would go back.

We made a reservation for 15 people (!) for a Friday night, we were welcomed super kindly by the staff, they were patient and helpful with recommendations, and the food... The food was amazing! Super recommend the octopus, it was fantastic. Thank you so much guys!

Ordered the Octopus for the main plate and came with a side salad, which was nice. Unfortunately my first 2 choices they were out of, but was very happy with my meal. For a side, ordered what was supposed to be 3 types of bread and only received a few slivers of some basic bread and that was very disappointing along with a prepackaged container of Sardine pâté, which I highly suggest skipping both. Fair prices, attentive service and a cute unassuming small restaurant.

Great food, nice service. The owners are an elderly couple who do both the waiting and cooking. The menu is local Portuguese food, some items are in limited supply.

I've been in Portugal for almost two weeks, I've eaten in many places, but none of them impressed me so much. The service ladies give the impression that they are eaten at home, not in a restaurant. I ordered veggie soup and tuna steak. I liked the soup a lot, but the real king of the table was the steak. It was the best tuna steak I've had so far. If I have another chance, I will gladly come back there.

We had a lovely meal at Manjar da Vila. We really wanted some nice fish whilst we were by the sea and this place delivered. We had the grilled sea bass and tuna and they were both delicious! It’s a no frills place and the staff were lovely. It was full inside so we had to sit outside which was a little chilly in the wind but it didn’t stop us from enjoying our meal. Would recommend!

Food was delicious and extremely reasonable. It got crowded in there after we arrived around 7p. Myself, my husband, and my 18 year old niece really enjoyed our food.

One word: special. The food was very simple, clean, and well executed. Best food we had in Portugal during our stay. If you are skeptical about trying octopus as a first time, I recommend trying it here: tender, tasty, and clean. My partner has the Portuguese style steak and frites and they’re delightful. Got lucky with a table without having a reservation, book one in advance if possible as the place is so busy. Cheers!

I found this place through The Fork! It is a bit of a walk from the station and the main road but it was well worth it! The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. A lovely end to a day at the beach. The seafood soup was the best I've tasted with a touch of olive oil and a garnish of coriander. We had a main course of tuna and swordfish steaks with potatoes and olive oil and vinegar. The dessert was outstanding. Goat cheese cheesecake and chia pudding. It was one of the highlights of my holiday!

Hidden Gem in Cascais Nestled away from the tourist hubs of Cascais, we stumbled upon a quaint family restaurant that turned out to be a hidden gem that open for just 2 years and guided by the seasoned hands of a chef with 20 years of experience. Glad that we discovered this restaurant through Google reviews. Our culinary journey at this family-owned restaurant was a feast for the senses. The grilled sea bass was a showstopper, perfectly cooked with a delightful balance of flavors. The shrimp and squid skewer showcased the freshness of the seafood, while the seafood rice was a symphony of taste and texture. The grilled wild fish and Portuguese-style beef tenderloin steak lived up to the local culinary reputation. The seafood rice was so nice that we couldn't resist indulging in a second serving. Undoubtedly the best meal of our Portugal trip. Beyond the exceptional cuisine, the warm and attentive service provided by the charming elderly couple added a personal touch to our dining experience. Their kindness and friendliness elevated the overall ambiance. The delightful experience didn't end with the last bite. We were so taken by the warmth of the hosts that we requested to capture the moment with a photo together – a sweet conclusion to a memorable meal.

Fresh homemade Portuguese food. We were 5 people and all enjoyed our lunch. Arrive early so you get the chance to order from the menu as when we arrived at 2pm some options were no longer available. We enjoyed our meal anyways and the customer service was also very good. Menu available also in English.

Cosy restaurant with amazing traditional portuguese kitchen. We sat in the terrace - the inside with cold light doesnt invite after a first impression. A cute elder gentleman was responsible for our table and we felt well attended - almost in a family atmosphere. One of us was vegetarian and the chef just improvised a delicious broccoli-pasta plate as vegan / vegetarian options are rare in the Portuguese kitchen. Indeed a very good option for those who love to enjoy an authentic dish with cosy charm for a good price.

I love this place, the prato do dia for lunch is €7.50 for soup, wine, main and coffee - it's a staggering (sarcasm) €1.50 extra if you want dessert as well. :) The food is delicious and fresh, the staff are lovely. If you go at lunch time, expect to wait a while for a table, as it's always busy. Highly recommend.

We are locals who frequently use this restaurant for lunch. Lunch is very, very cheap during the week but, mainly, the food made Estela has a very "straight Portuguese" home-made taste to it. They also have very good fish, at very acceptable prices due to family ties with local fisherman. Avoid the tourist trap restaurants and favor this little home-away-from-home one.

Lovely restaurant. Small menu with very tastfull food. It’s run by an elderly couple. Rice with seafood & herbs was great, so was the dorade & see bass. Meat plates also good. Everything fresh prepared & served with a smile. Just 300 meters out of the (way Too busy) tourist Area of Cascais. Pay them A visit! And.. they’re not expensive Too, so all room to give them A Nice tip 😎

We just love this "typical Portuguese" restaurant!! Their daily prato specials are always so good and also a great bargain. Includes soup or dessert, covert, the main dish (a choice from 4-8 options) and a drink. You really can't go wrong! I had the chili and beans on a cold day recently and it was really tasty.

The food here was absolutely delicious. I cannot reccomend more an authentic experience for such a great price. 8 euros for appetizer, entree of choice, dessert, and drink of choice. The resteraunt felt like being at home with such a friendly staff. The food was incredible with a good amount of options, taste, and quality. The mackerel I ordered tasted like it was straight out of the sea and everything else tasted homemade and delicious. It's a small restaurant that clearly attracts the locals for a reason. Highly recommend if your looking for an authentic place the locals go for a great price and great food

😐 So, firstly, the food here was very good! The starters were very tasty and huge portions (so beware unless you're really hungry), and the pizzas we had were delicious. And if you have a table by the window facing the sea, the view is lovely. However... overall experience was soured by poor service....

👍👍 Perfection. Spider crab was very well cooked, and was cut and set to eat with least effort. Steamed octopus was so tender and seafood rice had rich taste. And all the foods went so well with green wine. Wish I could visit again.
