Spar in Portugal is a bit expensive. Relatively poor selection of products. Have a butcher and fresh fish, bread. Ok selection of Fruit and veg. Some but not abundant options for lactose- and gluten free products.

Like this Spar as it is near my aparthotel. Selection is good but it is not a large supermarket. Only down side is they seem to have stock storage issues which sometimes block off the aisles meaning you have to squeeze past pallets and leave your shopping basket or trolley behind to get at things. Staff are very friendly

Friendly butcher, great meat, and fresh fish. However, vegetables, sausage, and dairy products should be reduced in price at expiration to offer them to the community so food doesn'tget wasted. Instead, the expired food still sits on the shelves 2 weeks after the expiration date. Not well organized in this matter, that's why only 3 stars.
