Really unusual place, if you want authentic Portuguese experience, this is a place to go, for 15 euros during lunch you get starter, huge plate of grilled local fish and very tasty salad, unlimited amount of wine, water, drinks and in the end choice of 4 deserts and a whole bottle of Grapa! :D Very simple place where all the real locals go

Very local restaurant that has closed menu. We order two meat and one fish. Price are fixed and we felt surprised when bread and salad are served. Also the rice tastes good!

Fantastic dishes, absolutely delicious. Try the grilled fish platter. Very attentive and friendly service. Very reasonable prices. Seems to be frequented by locals which is a huge plus. Cash only.

The restaurant is small and clean. We got a table by the window which was very nice, and we're quickly served by a kind gentleman named Mr Marco. He took our orders, suggested the best thing for our tastes and we waited. We did not wait long, however, as the food came quickly and well prepared. Noticing I was starving, Mr Marco offered me a little extra serving of my meal at no cost. The dessert (Oreo mousse) was delicious and rich, and the bill was not expensive whatsoever. Highly suggested if you're in the market for some traditional Portuguese eats, especially the alheira.

Ok a place for locals. As a foreigner you don't get the same stuff. So very disappointed in all previous reviews. Fish was not cooked properly. Chicken very dry. Prices are low I must admit. If you are not friends with the owner better avoid.

I can't wait to go back to Frade dos Mares! I went there with my family to celebrate my mother's and nephew's birthday and everything was perfect! Best octopus I ever had! They brought cheese cake with candles and the dessert medley was excellent! I am really grateful to Frade's personal for sharing with us all their goodies!

A little bit uncommon but a good restaurant. It just has to menus, fish or meat. The food is tasty and comes in a good amount. It is typical Portuguese cuisine and a recommendation to go.
