Every
day,
my
husband
sets
out
to
sea
from
the
shores
of
Cascais,
braving
the
unpredictable
waves
in
search
of
the
day's
catch.
But
on
some
days,
the
sea
rages
with
a
fury
that
even
the
bravest
fishermen
dare
not
challenge.
These
are
the
days
when
the
waves
tower
over
the
boats
moored
in
the
bay,
threatening
to
swallow
them
whole.
On
these
wild
days,
the
fishermen
gather
on
the
shore,
in
front
of
the
beach,
watching
in
awe
as
the
waves
crash
and
explode
into
the
air.
It
is
a
dangerous
spectacle,
but
one
that
draws
us
all
together,
reminding
us
of
the
raw
power
of
nature.
Despite
the
dangers
that
come
with
his
profession,
my
husband
is
always
eager
to
return
to
the
sea.
He
loves
the
thrill
of
the
chase,
the
challenge
of
pitting
himself
against
the
unpredictable
currents
and
winds.
We
are
not
a
wealthy
family,
but
we
are
rich
in
the
love
and
camaraderie
of
our
fellow
fishermen
and
their
families.
In
Cascais,
we
are
like
one
big
family,
united
by
our
shared
experiences
and
hardships.
And
even
though
the
sea
can
be
treacherous,
my
husband's
love
for
his
work
and
for
me
is
unwavering.
We
find
joy
in
the
simple
things,
like
sharing
a
meal
of
freshly
caught
fish
and
bread,
and
watching
the
sunset
together
after
a
long
day.
In
the
midst
of
this
tumultuous
world,
we
have
found
a
love
that
is
steady
and
true,
a
beacon
that
guides
us
through
even
the
roughest
waters.
