Went skiing and did the Winter Rendezvous here. The cross country skiing was nice, the trails were well maintained and were groomed. Trail diversity was good. The staff are all knowledgeable and friendly. The Winter Rendezvous was really fun, basically an event with a bunch of reindeer games like curling, Atl Atl, sled pull, archery, axe throwing, etc. There's also a visitor center with a variety of nature information and a gift shop

I loved my weekend at Deep Portage! The birding is amazing--visit during spring migration and you won't be disappointed! There is so much opportunity for outdoor adventures both on the water and on foot. The staff are also super knowledgeable and helpful.

I remember attending field trip here as a child - beautiful. Some helpful info for summer camps that is not on their website - they do house teens by preferred gender for overnight camps.

It was such a fun experience for kids to see, learn, and explore. There was a lot of walking and climbing, but the kids really seemed to enjoy it. My son loved building a fire with his group and a shelter!

One word... magical! We just got back from the kids' 5th Grade Field Trip and it was amazing! The staff are incredible at teaching and working with the kids. The homemade meals were loved by all. Highly recommend Deep Portage!

Beautiful place to hike. The Learning center staff were very friendly. We wanted to have a picnic lunch and was directed to a nice area by the garden.
