Recently we started traveling and I wanted to get a traveling tattoo on our family vacation. Plans kept changing as this being our first time in Colorado we were walking into ski traffic blind so timing never worked out to get to the tattoo shop. I found this place online. The site states appointment ONLY Saturday and Sunday. Well the day was Monday so walk ins were welcomed. We arrived and waited for it to open. Again, a sign outside of the building stating “walk-ins welcome”. Went inside, first people there, have a brief idea and stated how long we had before our flight so that timing and size and type of tattoo could be quickly decided, and he states he is full until after 3 pm with appointments, which didn’t work because that’s was my flight time. Then explains that he’s booked up for the month. My rating comes from false advertisement. I get it’s my fault for waiting til the last minute to get it, trust me not my choice. But I wasted time waiting for this “walk in welcome” shop to open instead of doing something else. It’s not a walk in welcome shop….if he thinks it is then hours of walking welcome should be stated. For instance, do appointments until 3pm and walk-ins from 3-9pm….but actually be available for walk ins! From the sounds of it there are two people working here and they don’t have time for walk ins. Which cool but advertise properly so you don’t ruin another Karen’s day.

I had 3 tattoos done here in one session. The girl who did them went way too deep and now I am stuck with a scarred mess. I should’ve known it wasn’t going to be good when she said “everyone’s challenging me with circles” or something along those lines when doing a moon tattoo on my wrist. It’s completely scarred and raised. The lines that aren’t scarred into my skin fell out. Any of the details of the tattoo is lost and I’m extremely upset considering how it’s on my wrist which is a very visible part of my body. The lines are all different thicknesses and very very shaky. I tried to call to speak to the owner, but of course the only one there was the girl who did my tattoo when I called. The only thing she really had to say was “I’m sorry” and “I also have some botched tattoos so I understand”, why on earth would you be so nonchalant about butchering something that’s on someones body forever. She offered to fix it, but obviously I will not be going back. Please do not go here unless you want to have to pay for a coverup.

Had my first session with Ryan for a removal. He was the sweetest person ever. I came into this terrified of the pain and he was caring and compassionate from the moment I walked into the door. I cannot recommend him enough and I cannot wait for him to finish my removal so he can get started on a new piece for me! Thank you Ryan!!

I have an ongoing back piece that Ryan (Cactus Jack) is working on. He is an amazing artist and I could not be happier with how it is going. He knows what he is doing and takes the time to understand what you are asking for with a complicated piece. He will not disappoint!

Cactus Jack is an amazing artist. I had my first tattoo done in over 20 years. I had no problem trusting him with my ideas and leaving him to task. Both of my tattoos are exactly what I wanted. I highly recommend him and his studio.

I went to Castle Rock Tattoo & Laser Removal for the first time a year ago. I was looking for a fine-line tattoo and saw Jake’s work. Jake designed and tattooed a 1/2 sleeve on my forearm. Now, a year later, we are doing a second piece on my ribs (currently 1 session done, 1 to go). Together, both pieces would probably put me at 10+ hours being tattooed and 15+ hours total with Jake (including the design process). My experience has been nothing but great! From my experience, Jake always puts professionalism and being a gentleman at the forefront of all he does. And his design/tattoo work is phenomenal. I’ve lived in other states and have had tattoos from other artists, but Jake beats them all.

I’ll start with this, I never do online reviews, but I felt this one was absolutely necessary. Jake did an AMAZING job on my tattoo! I normally am not a “small talk” person, but he was so easy to talk to that I felt like I was talking to an old friend. He was very professional and asked for my input on the design. The only negative I could say is that his work makes my other tattoo look like it was done by an amateur 😆 My husband and I are now fighting over who gets to go first for our next tattoo. I’ll be back soon!

Absolutely phenomenal tattoo experience! My artist, Alaska, did an incredible job of transferring a very personal and meaningful sketch, that my oldest daughter created, onto my forearm. At my request, he also added his expert artistic interpretation and skill to create a piece that far exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend allowing the tattoo artist the freedom to put their personal touch on any tattoo idea - they know what will look great on skin! The entire staff is very welcoming and clearly love what they do. The books and scrolling screen images of their work blew me away. And I can’t say enough positive things about Brandy - such an engaging young woman that makes you feel like family and ensures everything is taken care of. This place easily earned my loyalty and I will be returning. Thanks again Alaska - you killed it bro!
