So we were on vacation searching for a local specialty called Callalloo soup. We were referred to this restaurant. We got there and they were between lunch and dinner, so they only did take out..at least we were told at first..I started walking around the restaurant and recording it on video because it was so beautiful, and the ocean is literally 3 feet from some of the tables. As I was narrating I came up to a woman sitting alone at the most beautiful spot in the restaurant. She asks "Is someone helping you?" I said yes, we are getting Callalloo soup to go..she said "NO, and told the staff to give us her table, and asked why we were not accomodated." She was the owner! VERY sweet lady. The staff, service, and ESPECIALLY the restaurant were impeccable. Everything is off the grill. I started with an amazing shrimp cocktail, then on to chicken in the best peppercorn sauce I've ever had. Even the veggies were great. I've never had potatoes that were seasoned and cooked so perfectly. The bread was fantastic. Just YUM. We also ordered the fish covered in crab. Everything was amazing. This restaurant was way more than just finding Callalloo soup (which was the best by the way, loved dipping the buttered bread in it), it was one of those life changing moments, an experience that I will never forget. You would be foolish to pass this up. Treat yourself, and please go!

Great restaurant in Saint Lucia. Fresh & perfectly cooked seafood, great service and ambience I had the pumpkin soup, which was very good. My husband had the crab back starter, which is like a stuffed deviled crab yum 😋 He had the barracuda entrée, and I had the shrimp in the coconut curry sauce, and both were so delicious. The seafood was perfectly grilled. Worth taking a taxi for lunch or dinner.

Amazing location right next to the water in a working marina. A little tough to find, but if you're on a narrow dirt road, you're probably close. Food was good, but not my favorite on the island. Super friendly staff, menu changes by what's available.

The Coal Pot was so good and the location perfect that we ate there two nights of the four we were on the island. Had different things both nights. All great. Really out of the way location, but perfect spot.

The Cold Pot is on the water and been in business since 1948. The owner was there and got up and spoke with us. We talked about how good the food was and it was one of the best. The food was delicious and the restaurant was decorated beautiful inside and open to the water on back side.

Outstanding ambience, with great food and service. We had a variety of dishes and had such a wonderful time that we decided that this was the highlight of our trip to St Lucia.

We went here for lunch and the food was great. We both had fish with veg and rice, but the meals were a good size and had a variety of delicious sides. This was one of the best meals we had on the island. It walking from virgie beach, although the road is fairly isolated and unlit so might be not be ideal at night.

First of all the food is really good! Everything was so delicious 😋. The ambiance was amazing, I really loved the shallow waters where you could see several little fish swimming....it was just a lovely view. The service was excellent, the staff were very patient and helpful. My favorite part of my meal was the duck with the mushroom sauce.

Absolutely delicious and gorgeous experience. The Coal Pot is a 15-minute walk from the cruise port and worth it. We had the barracuda with green curry and salad Nicoise. My husband subbed in the barracuda for the tuna and the salad Nicoise, and it was terrific. We traded dishes halfway through our meal, so I got to try both. The wait staff, while busy, were amiable and helpful. The Coal Pot is a fine dining establishment, so be prepared to take your time. This is not a quick meal and is meant to be enjoyed and relaxed. I even got a complimentary cupcake for international women’s day. I do recommend mosquito repellent for the walk to the restaurant. If you are a single woman, I would not recommend walking by yourself. Take a cab from the cruise port, there are plenty to be found.

Head to the Coal Pot for an intimate and romantic dinner. Finding it was a little tricky since you feel like you are heading to a dead end alley with closed up buildings along the way. Tucked to the back you will come down to the water and find the restaurant like a little glowing treasure. We absolutely adored the vibe and decor. Loved the candlelight and artist work that was seen throughout. So glad we saved this spot for our last night visiting the island. The service was fast and friendly. Our table had the crab back and cheesy seafood dip (it had a name I wasn’t familiar with). We had snapper, ribeye and mahi mahi and all were amazing. We finished with the chocolate cake and cream brûlée and they were both fantastic. The serving portions for the main course are substantial and we couldn’t finish all of the food. Several of us chose mix drinks and my only advice would be to offer more of a selection since all of them were fruity/tropical choices.

Went here for our anniversary with the in-laws. It was a great place to eat. The food was delicious and had great choices. Reasonably priced for the great food and the restaurant itself is beautiful. I recommend coming at night to get the full effect! Downside- the location. It was a little hard to find. We really questioned if the road it's on was a public road as you saw some homes, but no sign to the restaurant. I recommend adding a sign so it's more accessable.

Really a special place with very amazing food, service, and atmosphere. I was blown away by the pumpkin soup, and I am known to be a strict carnivore.

Great food. Great ambience. The server was extremely kind, funny, and accommodating. All the fish is great, but they also make a very nice vegetarian plate when asked. They also made my daughter’s birthday extra special with balloons and a sparkler in her cake. Thanks!

Coal pot was my favorite restaurant that we went to on our visit to St Lucia. Our group had dorado and barracuda with coconut curry sauce. It was simply amazing. The ambience is wonderful. I would eat there every day if I could. Also, the chocolate cake we ordered for my sister’s birthday was the best cake I have ever eaten.

Lunch is on the pricier end but it tastes good. It's right on the water with a beautiful view of the ocean. I did not have to wait too long for the food, which was great.

Food is by far the best I’ve tasted on the island. Drinks are not as good, however the atmosphere is exceptional!!!

My husband and I, while we try to be adventurous we are first to admit we bail as soon as things don’t seem/look right/safe. I am so glad we didn’t bail on dinner tonight. The road getting there was a little off and when we pulled into the parking lot it just seemed like a shack. But we ventured toward it and the warm inviting light inside. We were greeted by lovely people and the ambience of the restaurant was so inviting. Now the view we were right on the water it was beautiful and quiet and so serene. I haven’t even gotten to the food portion. What an amazing meal and service we had. The servers were quick to help make suggestions and tell you about their menu and the meal we had was by far one of the best things I’ve eaten in a very long time. It was so fresh and everything came out hot and you could tell a lot of pride and effort went into the food. 10/10 would recommend! Don’t let it’s outside keep you away from this place!
