Deborah was awesome! My hair was in a sad state and I left feeling so much better:) she was very attentive to what I wanted and wanted to make sure I got what I was looking for as well as making sure my hair stays healthy. I recently moved to the Bay Area from Seattle and I’ve been needing a haircut. I came across Hairology on Yelp and all I can say is that all the positive reviews are true! I booked a haircut and blow dry with Janet. From the moment I walked into Hairology, Janet was very welcoming and sweet! She started off by asking me what I wanted to do with my hair and how much I wanted to cut off. She then washed my hair and began to cut my hair. I’ve never experienced a hairstylist who took their time with cutting my hair and made sure it was everything I wanted and more! She was very attentive with my requests. After the cut she dried my hair and styled it. My hair after the cut felt so much lighter and bouncier!!! Janet also gave me a lot of advice on how to take better care of my hair, which I really appreciated it because I had no idea how to take care of my hair since it’s curly and frizzy! Overall my experience at Hairology was amazing and one of the best experiences I’ve ever had at a hair salon! The salon itself was very clean and had such a cute look to it! I would definitely recommend Janet to everyone I know and I’m beyond happy to finally find an amazing hairstylist who I trust with my hair! I can’t wait to go back and get another haircut from Janet!!

For the longest time I have loved having my long hair but I finally decided I wanted something new! After contemplating for almost 2months I decided to make an appointment and just get it over and done with! Debra was my hairstylist and when I went in she fell in love with my long hair and was so saddened to see me get the length shorter, I showed her what I wanted and she made it into a project and explained me every step of what she was doing. She kept telling me how much she loved my hair but was also excited to see how the new look would turn out. OMG Debra was just phenomenal to work with and she definitely knows and loves what she does. My husband was in awe and couldn’t get over it, I have received so many compliments ever since! I’ve had long hair for quite some time and needed a shorter length hair with layers and mid-parting bangs. Gee understood what I wanted and made my hair look just the way i had envisioned. Her personality was super sweet, friendly and inviting, it felt like I was talking to my old friends even though it was my first time going to Hairology, Castro Valley. So happy with the result. I will definitely go here again and suggest everyone i know to go to Gee for their hair needs! ☺️

I just got my hair done here by the owner, Janet, for the second time and I am so in love. The first time I got a partial balayage and she did a lot of color correction from going light to dark and back to light again. She did an amazing job and it grew out seamlessly and faded beautifully. This time we did a full balayage with more dimension and I love it so much. She went over the toner with me until I was 100% sure it was what I wanted and made the best suggestions. She also cut my hair and it’s exactly what I envisioned. My hair complements my skin so well and frames my face so nicely. I am very happy with the finished result. Highly recommend!

Debra did my hair today and it was lovely. I loved her confidence and knowledge. I have very fine hair and get highlights. She corrected my coloring. The whole experience made me feel special. I still love Janet and Georgi. They do a great job too. Highly recommend this salon!

Janet is a great colorist! I loved how my color turned out. I received so many compliments. Janet was very nice and accommodating during the appointment process. While sitting and waiting for the coloring process she offered me drinks and snacks. She greeted every customer with a smile when they came in to asked for openings or pricing. Not to mention her pricing is reasonable. Not like other places who overprice hair coloring. I love this place. Parking was plenty and easy too.

Janet is the best, I'm so happy I found her - I finally found someone I trust with my hair. She worked with me towards my hair goals, while still being honest of what would be achievable. She suggested options that would look great on me, took great care of me the whole day and was a pleasure to be around. I found my go to hairstylist!

Booked a Consultation with Janet for my daughter and she was very thorough in explaining everything and talked about in detail the steps to achieve the hair color of the pictures my daughter showed and made a plan on how to get there. She was very honest. Super sweet and patient with all our questions. We really appreciated that she took her time and listened. Would definitely recommend this Salon & Janet.

Debra and this entire team of stylists are exceptional. Debra comes with so much energy and passion for what she does. She is meticulous about her work and puts her fullest attention to all the details of her clients specific hair needs and desires. She spent five hours on my hair and she is honest, careful, skilled, and I couldn’t be happier to now have a stylist I trust and love. I came from a pretty bad experience at another salon and my hair was a challenge to correct. Debra did an incredible job and I left feeling better than I have at any salon. Thank you Debra!

Had a great appointment with Gorgean. He was very friendly and helpful. He gave me some advice on how to get the look I wanted and how to care for it in the future. He took my hair from a bob to a cute pixie cut that I love.

not happy with my hair color.. they weren’t able to get the color i wanted.. they charge too much for just 1 hair color and still didn’t get the job done. waste of money and time.

Debra is such an amazing stylist. She’s so knowledgeable about different hair texture, her invisible layer technique is life changing! Debra put so much love and care into her art and her skills shine through in every cut. Will be coming back to Hairology again very soon!
