I've stayed at this NH hotel Catania and the room was uncleaned when we checked in. The terrace was full of dust, they said that it is the ash from vulcano but I doubt that was it since the near rooms terraces were clean. Secondly, I was surprised by finding ants in the room. 🐜 When I did the reservation I reserved by mistake the last day with the breakfast, and then, on the day arriving I asked the receptionist if it is possible to cancel the breakfast for the last day because we had to leave early in the morning. She said that it won't be possible because the reservation was made on their website (which it's very stupid). Finally when we left the hotel they put for the breakfast, an apple, a corn, some toast bread and a water which they charged for it 40 euros. In my opinion this experience represents the greediness for the money in front of the clients and the indifference of the staff. 🤑 Btw: the public transport from the hotel to piaza borsalliono it's awfull, sometimes the buses just pass even if the people makes sign to them. I had situations In which I waited for around 1h for it and then decided to just take the lime. The road with the lime or on foot though the port it's like going through catacombs and feeling like in prison break because you would have to go on the cars road which it's always crowded and they drive crazy, and... the port it's not one of the friendly environments that you want to see in your stay because of the abandoned buildings and warehouses. So I would rate this experience, especially for NH Hotel like 3 out of 10.

Location is next to the beach, but beach is full of trash, swimming pool was good but we had the lawn mower working there over the two days so it was really uncomfortable sitting there with the noise. The airplanes are very loud even at night. The hotel is full of black mold, really disappointed by the beds that were really uncomfortable (I could feel the metal rods under). The staff was the only good thing as they were very nice people and housekeeping does clean the room well but the mold is a problem that maintenance has to fix…

The area leaves a lot to be desire. The staff was very nice. Not many places to eat. Many places are condemned. Most restaurants do not serve hot meals or meals at all between 3 to 7 pm. There is a great restaurant that serves a full menu throughout the day called la barraca. About a 15 minutes walk from the hotel. Wonderful selection and quality.

The hotel was okay. The lobby was nice and the people working in the front was professional and courteous. However, the building itself feels a little run down, stains on the carpet and bathrooms don't look very clean. Sometimes the hallway does not smell very good either. I ate at the restaurant for dinner and breakfast and overall, it is very average. Coffee machine used for breakfast makes very mediocre and lukewarm coffee. There are balconies for the rooms but the view is okay.

We had the good fortune to meet this wonderful man Daniele at the reception of our hotel in Catania Sicily. He along with his colleagues Gabriella and Ana Rita took such great care of us during our stay. He has gone above and beyond what we have experienced in any other place we’ve traveled to. Gabriella recommended an excellent restaurant for my birthday dinner and Ana was a delight at the bar and restaurant. Kudos also to the rest of the staff 👍🙏 They said this was a 4 star hotel but I give them 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!! Thank you so very much!

This is a quiet, nice hotel . Attentive and professional staff. Excellent restaurant. Very good breakfast. The room is large and clean . It was far from the city, so it was inconvenient for sightseeing.

I am a regular at the NH Parco degli aragonesi. I have not been disappointed with their service. What surprised me this time was the charge that I had to pay to leave my car in the hotel grounds. I suggest that this charge is absorbed in the paying guests bill and only charge any non guests, you risk becoming similar to a low cost flight where every item is billed seperately. I don't think that this is a nice way to end up NH

Even though it is close to the Catania airport, this hotel looks run down with need for some renovation. The lobby and restaurant look decent but the rooms and the building itself look bad with paint and plaster chipping off. Even the surrounding buildings and the entire area looks run down and looks abandoned. The room and the bathroom were okay. But the hardwood floor was showing it’s age or just bad installation. See pictures of gaps between the wooden planks. We went there during 3rd week of March and it got pretty cold during the night and the heater was not working. Apparently the heater is controlled centrally from the reception even though the room has the controls. When I went to the reception to turn on the heater, the lady’s response was “we are between seasons” so we don’t have heat. After few minutes of complaining she finally agreed to turn on the heat which was fine. But the fact that the rooms themselves don’t have individual controls goes to show this hotel is old and needs renovation. My advice, skip this hotel and stay in the city. Airport is not too far from the city so it should not take you more than 30 mins to get there.

Stayed as a couple, location was good for airport - also there is a bus stop just outside to get to the city and back. Unless if you find a taxi try negotiate a rate you are happy with rather than meter which is on quadruple fast. Breakfast was tasty and spacious restaurant. Nice pool and beach but as we went in November it was already a little cold. Rooms had sustainable amenities which was good and a small balcony.

Nice hotel friendly helpful staff. A good size pool and plenty of sunbeds and chairs and tables outside and in. Good choice of breakfast and a good standard of quality. The restaurant has a good choice on the menu and the meal was excellent. Beach across the road. About 20 minutes from the town Cantina by bus. But could not get tickets for these. Bus driver said get on and get them from central bus station Borsellino 1€ euro give 90 minutes of travel. There is a maned office or machine to get your tickets only problem is the bus times ate about +20 mins or more the only one that's is on time is the is the last bus 21:20 that leaves Borsellino the main bus station.

4 stars as we are not talking plush. Clean and comfortable rooms Great coffee shop poolside. The beach which is for NH guests was beautiful Good comfy sunbeds and umbrellas - the sea was fabulous warm and not too deep. Just perfect.

Everything in the hotel was excellent more importantly all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and welcoming, all reception staff were very helpful friendly so are bar and restaurant staff. This individual are the real assets to this company and I hope company recognise this. Well done to everyone at this hotel. I highly recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel in close proximity to airport. Breakfast was average. Had a constant leak in room and shower but the staff were helpful by dropping off extra towels.

After driving over 8 hours to from Rome to Catania, we were exhausted. We were met at the front desk by Daniele. When checking in, Daniele informed us that the room was a “coffee room” with a coffee maker. We then asked if the room had a tea kettle, as that is what we prefer over coffee. Daniele then says ‘that is the room you chose’. First- there is no option to choose either coffee or tea in your room when booking, that is unless you want to spend more money and have a different room. When we asked if we could have a tea kettle, he made it as if we asked for the penthouse suite. I have never seen two people get so flustered over a silly little tea kettle. THEN… I informed Daniele that I have two small dogs with me. The reaction i received was one of disgust. It was as if he was appalled that I had a dog. He proceeds to ask if they are big dogs. I told him no, they are 10 pounds each. He proceeds to tell me that all of the guests are sleeping and the dogs cannot bark. If a hotel is going to have that type of attitude, do not consider yourself pet friendly. Once checked in, I went to get the luggage cart, when Daniele said he would send help. Ten minutes later, a staff member comes outside and attempts to load my luggage into the cart. The inability to do such a simple task is unbelievable. He couldn’t even place bags on a cart without struggling. As we walk inside, he proceeds to hit every wall possible. We finally get the room keys and go up to the room to find out that the key cards do not work. Once inside the room, there was a cot in the room along with two beds. This was very inconvenient with spacing. I asked to have it removed and that request went no where. I booked a room with a garden view and terrace. I would not consider a road and trees a garden view. I could hear trucks driving next to my room all night. Absolutely no garden in site. The pictures are extremely deceiving. The rooms look nothing like advertised. The bathroom is covered in mold. It doesn’t look like it has seen a bucket of bleach or any form of cleaner in years. There were also bugs in the shower and bidet. Edit in response to the hotel: I am not sure which reservation you are looking at but on NH Hotel’s website, when I booked my room, I booked for a Standard with garden view and terrace. Unfortunately Google will not allow me to upload the email confirmation, however, I will gladly forward it to the hotel if needed.

Really friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, nice and tasty breakfast, private beach that you just have to cross the road for, and all that in a fairly calm location. Great place to stay at

Hotelstaff -especcially Daniele(nightmanager)- was very polite, helpful and friendly. Such a sweet and kind receptionist is a rare treasure. Keep it up! Thank you Daniele!

Not bad hotel with a good ratio of what you pay and what you get. Standard rooms, nice staff, out of city center but next to a (hotel) beach. The surrondings nothing special (close to a main road) except of the sea. However, if you have a car (parking possible), you can easily go everywhere. Very close to the airport. Alltogether, a good compromise 😉

I booked this property because it said it had shuttle transfer but it doesn't. The location is about 10 minutes from the main tourist center. There's a bus stop right in front. The bus is a hit or miss with times so be aware. The rooms are ok a bit old. The facilities are ok too. The staff was nice. The beach is about a 2 minute walk from the hotel.

We spent 10 days in this hotel for holidays (September, 10th to 18th 2022); located just behind the airport, near the beach. We wanted a quiet place near the city to chill, enjoy the beach and the pool and it was a good deal; if you search something with direct access to the city, choose a hotel downtown instead because public transport service is a total disaster. There's a bus stop in front of the hotel which is nice but the busses come when they have decided to, local folklore I suppose. Otherwise, everything went well: reception staff are gentle and reactive. We had 2 problems: one with the toilets flush, and a noise problem with a youngsters volleyball team. The first one was solved in less than 24h; for the second, they had the courtesy to move us in another room - many thanks for that, you saved my holidays fellas. Rooms are decent, equipment too, beds are great, if you have the opportunity to get a balcony, the view is nice even if the hotel look more business than a tourism one. We really appreciated the pool such as the gym, little but very clean; all the necessary equipment is inside to stay fit. To my mind, I believe that the only points to improve are -the breakfast; I'm not a fan of profusion especially but 20 euros is a little expensive for what is served. I saw better somewhere else -the restaurant: as the breakfast, it is expensive too whereas the cuisine is delicious but you can eat cheaper in downtown. Still, this hotel deserves a 5 stars. For the location, the services and the price we paid, it definitely worth it. Thank you for holidays I'll remember Nicolas, Paris

Nice a quiet place, close to beach and a bit further away from the city so if you like this type of accomodation it will be perfect. Comfortable rooms, good food in the restaurant and a lot of available sunbeds around the swimming pool (max depth 2.20 meters).

I wish I wrote this sooner. I stayed here in the beginning of august this year… and what a major regret. The hotel is insanely dated, old af, and dirty!!! Ants on the floor in my room. Bathroom was chaos. Not to mention location was a absolutely atrocious and cost about 20-25€ to get to the city centre.. there was absolutely nothing around this hotel. The pool area was awkward and lousy. The food was decent but way way way over priced! No complimentary water bottles… so I basically had to stock up when I was in the city centre. Please dear god… the beach was the absolute worst part. I’m not sure how they get away with saying beach front. The beach club they are affiliated with is a 7 min walk along the highway, and absolutely bare minimum (also the water is disgusting in this area due to the port being close) please don’t stay here and literally stay anywhere else. Also I wish I could add picture to this post of the room… unfortunately it won’t let me

Nice hotel, rooms decent, bed extremely cofrtable, lack of staff, drinks extremely expensive. Breakfast very good. Unfortunately no courtesy room for a shower before late departure, advised to use communal shower around pool. Reason given was that the hotel was fully booked, then offered the room we vacated for an extra night at a cost of €150. Totally unacceptable .

Booked here for a holiday. This is not a holiday hotel. It may have an outside pool that is not up to the standard of holiday hotels but this place is a motel for business people an during our stay some German soldiers. A plastic wine glass of beer an a vodka an lemonade £18.50 euro. Like you can afford to hang around here poolside. EasyJet getting it both barrels. Staff are fantastic but this wasn't cheap for b&b. The location is in need of some regeneration.

We really had a bad experience with this NH hotel. It is definitely not 4 star worthy. Our bathroom was not clean and in the evening we noticed that there were tons of ants near the bed. When complaining about this, we got another room but unfortunately also this room had ants. Due to the lack of hygiene we do not recommend this hotel!

Good swimming pool but rooms and staff should be more polite. You pay so much and the staff should improve their behaviour.

🏊‍♀️ nice pool. Lots of gluten free options for breakfast. Some Friendly staff pleasure to deal with and very helpful. Hotel looks like it needs some work carpets etc look very old and worn. Beach ⛱ not far away. Just walk across the road sunlounger and umbrella are included in the hotel price

Small rooms, old furniture and very slow internet. For the very high price paid I really had a different expectation. The location of the swimming pool exactly next to the restaurant guests is very inconvenient. Very friendly front desk receptionists.

Amazing!!! Lovely lobby and lovely rooms!! The amenities are just what you need for a lil getaway with breakfast buffet and lobby bar and right across the street from the lovely beach. The hotel staff are great! Friendly and helpful. For 2 day they helped us find a place to do our PCR Covid test to return home, yrs my husband and I traveled during Covid. Definitely would stay here again.

Hotel seems unkept and in need of renovations! Showers are dirty, rooms are outdated and the hotel grounds seem unkept. Breakfast is good with lots of selections and staff are friendly. Not sure if it was due to off-season stay, but very disappointed.

Reception staff were good but you will wait a long time to get served in the bar, not staffed reception call him, slow to arrive and disappears for long periods. Went to bed before he arrived the second time.

Very nice hotel, only 10 minutes driving from Catania Airport. Parking with extra cost. There is a restaurant where you can take some basic and nice food with high quality Italian ingredients, such as fresh fish, prosciutto and great cheese. Customer Service and Customer Care is excellent. The location is handy having a car, but also there is an Interbus stop at the front that maybe can be helpful.
