Rude owner and staff. A woman got locked inside the room and the owner was blaming her for trying to lock the door (ps: she was the only woman in am environment full of men)

Booked this place for 1 night and told them that I was on a late flight so would need a late check in (after midnight) which they said was fine but would be an extra charge. Got a message while I was on my flight (so didn’t receive this until I landed at 12.30am) that they would only wait until 12.15, when I called they said no one was at the property. Had to sleep on the floor at the airport for the night. Do not recommend

This property is running a scam where they've changed the name of their property on other booking websites to avoid people connecting the horrible reviews here to them. I almost booked elsewhere but luckily double-checked the reviews here, first

They said 0-24h Check in, but in reality they areive wehen they want. No warm water. Terrible air-conditioning.

When I read another opinions i almost declined my reservation, but it would be mistake. Me and my boyfriend were in Le Coccole from 13 till 15 of December 2021 we booked room with 1 double bed and one single. We had nice and tidy room, the toilets were really clean, you could also find a soap, shower gel and dryer there. The owner was really sympatic older man, who can speak Italian, Spanish and English good enough to communicate with us easily. THE PAYMENT IS ONLY IN CASH. The surroundings are not the cleanest ones but people around looked friendly. The hostel is close to the bigger road so we felt safe. The only problem was another client of the hostel. Lady was speaking to herself almost all night, but she didn't make harm to anybody.

Awful! The owner is smoking inside so there is a constant smoke smell. The security is completely absent (rooms that do not close well, people entering and leaving the hostel without any control, the owner telling to the concierge in Italian that they will talk later of our “case” when we arrived) the room is dirty, the street is loud, the neighborhood is scary and dangerous (chickens running freely on the streets, impossible to go to a cash machine because every bank in the neighborhood has been closed but one, which is guarded by some strange people waiting to rob you at the minute you take your credit card out). In fact we did not slept in there because of the fear to be robbed (we saw too late some comments saying that the girl smoking around had keys for all the rooms and regularly robs items out of the luggages). I cannot comment on the property of the shower because we did not try it, we left immediately.

We stayed in a 9 person apartment. It was fine, the beds felt clean, but the floor was not. The owner was fine, but later we got charged a fee on top of the reservation (60€) and the owner said it was going to be returned, but it never was (we also tried to communicate with owner afterwards). Mind, we already got charged 90€ on top, on what were supposedly taxes. I would give it less stars, but despite all we really had a good time and there was nothing that would really ruin our trip. We didn't pay a lot for the apartment, so we din't expect a lot. The neighbourhood felt a bit sketchy, but we didn't feel unsafe as people were really nice. It was also close to the city centre. Don't expect a lot, a few extra sheets would also be useful. Anyway, enjoy Catania ;-)

I was stood up by the management, as we aranged a late check-in, which they decided not to respect. I had to sleep in the Airport and they also charged my credit card prior to arrival. Very doggie people, thank goodness not all siciliana are like that. Stay anywhere elsse if you want to avoid useles problema.

They are selling the same room couple of times. They ask you for cash and afterwards also take your money from the card. And the are is very dangerous. I went out to take money from they ATM and 2 men abused me. It was horrible. The administrator was very rude and didn't let you say a word.

LOVED tonight’s hooters waiters! At the zoo of Zimbabue. However the I loved the game of chip and dale doing a kick flip and choosing a variety of Harry Potter character mostly my favourite was the hobbit. 11/10 Game.. Hope IGN reviews it soon ;)

Small room, far away from the central station. We were waiting for the bus but it didn't come, it took us around 40 min on foot. The staff is friendly and helpful.

We took a 4 person's room. It was very hard to understand and get understood by the owner (while on booking it was stated that they speak English, French etc.) So if you do not speak Italian, fill up your cup of patience :D The room was okay, the roof was low so one of our friends who is like 1m80 couldn't stand normally. The neighborhood isn't the best... quiet creepy during the night. Positive points : it was clean.

Clean and functional room and bathroom. The guy who recieved us was a bit slow but polite. We had to pay 2 euro per day extra because there is a sogiorno tax which i did not know about when i made the reservation from booking. And also the guys who stayed here were a bit wierd and loudy

We checked in later than 10 pm and this was no problem at all. Our double room was very clean, as was the bathroom. Plenty of clean white towels were available. Airconditioning was present and working. The host and cleaning lady were very friendly. Only thing you should know is that payments are done in cash only. The B&B is a 15 min walk from the Interbus station, and also close to Piazza Duomo, Castello d’Ursino, and Porta Garibaldi. I saw some people complaining about dirty streets, but personally I think this is just part of Catania and part of its charm. I’ve seen quite some places around Italy, and Catania is definitely worth a visit!
