Beautiful place, good for walking but would be best if you have good footwear and full length trousers. The walking trails can get narrow at times and there are thorny shrubs here and there. We saw a good variety of trees and birds along our walk and it was almost like walking in a forest. Pick a sunny day and this place would be great! It felt a little isolated which has its pros and cons. This place is easy to reach by tram so it was a good day out.

Lots of routes around the woods, you do have to explore, very scenic and great view points to the city. Good car parking (free), pop a visit over different seasons to see difference. Combine with a couple of other nearby parks and you can have a decent walk. Always nice to feel a sense of open space, so close to busy croydon

Great place for walks. Any time of the year. And great views of City of a London and Croydon from this platform. It's easy reach by tram ..or buses from Croydon. At the top there is a free car park too. I've been going there for over 15 years.

A great place to walk. There’s a viewing area with views across Croydon and London and some nice woods with paths all over. Lots of rope swings and benches. Mostly chestnut, oak, pine and birch trees with gorse and heather bushes. Popular place with dog walkers. 3 large car parks so there’s always parking space. Free parking.

Addington Hills is a nice area where to spend couple of hours immerse in forests and green land. You can walk around the wood with very high trees following different routes, a lots of up and downs, so get ready for a bit of healthy exercise πŸ‘ŠπŸ»

It's great apart from all the shards of glass and rubbish that people leave around...

Just a simple walk through Addington Hills (bus route), is a pleasurable experience in it self. As for the hospitality establishment, namely, the restaurant, I haven't frequented for a long time. Moving home was responsible for that. But a very vague memory tells me that it was more than adequate. And so it achieves a 4****.

Beautiful views across Croydon and the surrounding area. You can even see all the way to central london. Shame there was rubbish overflowing from the bin and rubbish all on the viewing platform, but it's a lovely, quiet place to go.

This was fantastic. You wouldn't know you were so near Croydon, so beautiful and peaceful. Lovely wooded areas and pathways

It is a nice venue over Croydon. It is in a state of disrepair . No proper seating that you can enjoy the views from. Lots of dogs being walked, not the place to go if you are scared of dogs. It is very hilly and good walking exercise. It is good for mountain biking but some people will lay trees in the pathways to block bicycles. So go move the tree branches and have fun.

A hidden gem in Croydon. Had to drop my daughter off for a function near by and needed to waste some time before picking her up instead of going all the way home. Glad we decided to take little detour. The views are amazing. You can see all of Croydon, the city and I was in a clear day you can see the Wembley arch. We went just as the sun was setting and the sky was clear, so once the sun did set you could star gaze. It's recommend waking with a torch because if you stay for sunset it gets pretty dark on the surrounding area as there are woods either side of the path.

Great sunset views, quiet and chilled. Great walk up the hills to it or you can drive to car park and short walk to viewing platform.

Gorgeous view from the viewing plaform: can even see central London. Could do with more flowers and less litter! Nice Chinese restaurant there.

Rediscovered after all these years probably the best view of London from the South East with the added value of a nice walk in the woods.

Great place to go for a walk! The views are lovely and there are a mixture of flat areas as well as hills. It’s a big space and the dogs love to run around. The parking is free and there are 3 car parks

Clear views of the entire London skyline from the viewing platform, and a nice wooded area to explore around it.

Love this place, especially when the suns out. Only thing that's annoying is when dog owners can't control their dogs. And i hate the people who litter when there are bins around.

  • 5/5 Plantbased M. 2 years ago on Google
Beautiful view. Lots of parking spaces. And the woods surrounding are beautiful. The walk to the view point is flat, but if you want to wander around the rest of the place it can get steep in places, so be mindful if you are not good with hills and steep walks.

Came here for a solo walk on new years day. It was a misty day so the views weren't as great as they could be but it was still lovely. I'm looking forward to coming back in the spring/summer time. There were so many walks and trails through the trees; it was easy to get lost in your own world. Great for dog walking or playing hide and seek with the kids. Lots of parking too, with at least 3 car parks that I saw, though I came on the bus (466). Only downside was the litter, especially around the lookout point. The two small bins were just not enough. This is definitely a new favourite spot of mine; I'll be back!

Fabulous views of London, including Docklands, The City, the Shard, Wembley and Croydon.

  • 4/5 Esther R. 2 years ago on Google
Absolutely lovely views, just a fairly small viewing platform - would fit about 8-10 people comfortably lined up at the front. There are steps up to the viewing platform so not wheelchair accessible. No lighting to go at night but it a short straight walk from the car park on a gravel path. Slightly muddy in areas. Well worth a visit at night.
