We parked the car just on the road as it was a Sunday , rain coats and hats ready we entered the park for a lovely walk , have visited this park many times now , such a lovely place to be. Lots of things to see and always a great atmosphere even in the rain. Stunning views for all the family to see and great little places to stop for a drink too . Toilets are 20p and you need to use a card to enter, very clean and looked after well . A great place to visit whatever the weather.

An excellent park to visit for family activities, jogging and exercise or just for a nice stroll with your loved ones. The parking area is huge and parking is made very convenient. People come here for picnics, and some do bring their dogs to run around. The park boasts magnificent views towards the Thames River, where you could clearly see those tall buildings at Canary Wharf across the river. We had a lot of fun posing for pictures to capture some memorable moments of this beautiful winter landscape, which we couldnt get in Malaysia..

This is a nice park. I went here while visiting London and was satisfied with my experience. This is a large green park with the Royal Observatory, a planetarium with a marking of the Prime Meridian that you can visit. There’s a large bike path that travels from the northwest corner down through the park. I walked around the park and went by the Royal Observatory before leaving, satisfied with my experience. I gave this park five stars because it has nice greenery.

Amazing park with gorgeous views, nice walkways for prams, wheelchair accessible, but do not go down the hill as it will be ever so hard coming back up. There is a car park, but it costs money, so you are better off with transport. I'm yet to find the deer enclosure, but it is an absolutely lovely park, cannot fault it.

One of the best outdoor views in London, in my opinion. At sunset and sunrise it’s very peaceful and you can see across the whole of London. Definitely a good spot to visit. Greenwich is beautiful, too. A boat trip down the river from Westminster is highly recommended.

Wander up the hill to the observatory and drink in the fantastic panoramic view. Stretches from the Shard, Canary Wharf, Olympic Park to Millennium Dome. Many paths throughout the park, so you don't get muddy in the winter. Lots of lawn shaded by trees for picnics in the summer. Great for runners, cyclists and dog walkers. Just about the perfect city park!

A big fine park close to central London. Come away from the hustle and bustle of downtown and explore this area. Also some interesting museums and the Observatory with the zero meridian mark. Well worth a visit

We just love this park. We would visit here often as it is just near from our house. We would rent a boat for few minutes and it was so much fun. My daughter loves the playground I suggest to come early in the morning as it gets crowded in the play area We visited during the cherry blossom season agaib and it is just so pretty

A well kept park with good access in and out of it. The footpaths are wide and in good condition even for those unsteady on their feet. Plenty of room for children to play and ride their bikes. I can imagine during the warmer months there would be picnics and games being played.

It is a nice park to go around. It has a nice view and a nice path. At the moment, they are doing some construction in the hill. The observatory is there and the Greenwich line, which seems very popular for photos.

You should definitely visit the park and everything around. Car park is free after 6 pm (otherwise, pay with the parking machines — park and display, up to 4 hours, I guess). The road at the south end is free for parking on weekends (but generally no free spaces). The park is big. The best part is old trees with massive trunks and big canopy of branches and leaves). The flower garden is a gem in its own right with no access for dogs, so safer for kids. Plenty of branches to sit on (but consider something to put on them as they’re often wet after the rain). Lots of picnics, tourists and people in general. Go visit the Maritime museum for Nelson’s coat and kid’s activities (it is also the only place to access toilet) and paintings at the Queen House (access is free; open till 5pm). The observatory is for kids and tourists (access close to 20 pounds per person). There’s a small playground for kids at the lower part of the park, I think. Dogs are everywhere (see the flower garden for safer non-dog environment). The best panoramic view over the Naval college and the Canary Wharf). To improve: decent public toilets after 5 pm, access to drinking water. More gardening and lawn care.

It's a very nice place to spend a full day with a picnic or with kids. So much big gardens and play areas. It is best to have a picnic. Dogs will love this big place. We stayed for 2-3 hours only in the evening. It's a very big place so you won't feel it as a crowded place easily.

This park is perfect for pretty much every type of day out, there are historical sites and famous places, as well as places to bike and skate. It’s a good place to walk your dog but if you don’t have a dog, there’s a dog free flower garden which is very beautiful. Lots of trees and open spaces. There is also a cafe with good food. Overall lovely park.

Stopped by for an evening stroll. Always nice to watch the tourists taking pics of the views looking across at the Isle of dogs. Took advantage of the after 6pm free parking and left the park before sunset. If you are fortunate enough to catch a sunset you'll certainly enjoy it.

Amazing views across London from the top of the park. The old trees are beautiful and the stories of the observatory fascinating. Its a place where you see the wealth plundered from nations put into action to facilitate shipping with the precision tools to enable ongoing dominance at sea. Fascinating early scientific exploration.

Nice large green field for picnic or just a relaxing afternoon with friends and family. If you don’t mind a short hike uphill, go up to the observatory center where you can have a decent view of London as well.

This park is great! Very big and the views from the top are amazing. You can admire the view and stay still sunset and see all of the landmarks. Very beautiful views! The park also has sand for kids and swings, slides etc… Big for picnic and where play area is no dogs allowed. No cycling in this park too. Overall the views, space and kids play area, this park is one of the best I’ve been to in London and will be visiting again very soon. A lot of parking available and it’s free after 6:30pm. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A huge grassy park!! I feel like this is where a lot of locals hangout. We are definitely tourists and visiting from America, so it was nice to visit this park as it’s a little bit more away from the crazy busy city of London, yet still in London. The park is a nice area to walk, bathrooms are 20 cents and it gives you a nice view of the London city at the top of the hill. Would recommend!

A must see park in London, not only incredible beautiful but rich in history. I recommend you to dedicate at least 3 hours to properly explore it, find its hidden gems, not just follow the tourist path to the observatory, there is much more to see. Hope you can find the hidden gardens full of flowers of the season, also the roses garden. Views of canary wharf and central london are amazing. Best spot for sunset.

Greenwich Park is a Royal Park located in Greenwich, London. It is one of the oldest parks in London, and is known for its beautiful landscape, its historic buildings, and its stunning views of London. The park was founded in 1433 by Henry VI, and has been used for a variety of purposes over the years, including hunting, grazing, and military training. Today, the park is a popular spot for visitors and locals alike, who come to enjoy the scenery, the history, and the peace and quiet. An other beautiful park in London. You have so many in a big city like that but it's always a pleasure and a good moment there to rest and to enjoy. It's not my favorite one but I advice you to go there and to have a walk. The tourists leave something to be desired but this place is pretty good.

A very good lush green park at the eastern end of London. It gives you complete peace. We visited it in weekend and is a good afternoon out destination for small picnic. Entry to park is free. If anyone want to visit observatory or museums, tickets are to be taken. Plenty of bench’s for sitting , but we prefer to sit on the ground on some mats. There are dedicated jogging track.

Beautiful park. Incredible views from atop the hill. Worth the hike up the hill to see the London skyline. Popular spot on the weekend for picnicking, dog walking, bike riding, running, walking, and soccer playing. If you're interested in seeing the Prime Merdian landmark at the observatory keep in mind it closes at 4:15pm. There is a small Prime Meridian landmark.on the north edge of the observatory outside the locked gates.

A beautiful park filled full of greenery, old trees, multiple garden areas, picturesque views of London landscape including the River Thames. At times it can get busy during peak tourist season and especially over the weekends. Plenty of activities to do with the kids, mainly letting them run around in the park, good hill slopes for those special one off day snows when it decides to in London. Ohh yea you can also go to the observatory and planetarium but these are your choice as over priced and not much to see.

From the gates that have seen king and queens, and Admiral Nelson pass through to the maritime museum, to the Greenwich time observatory. It's just awesome. Also really cool for all you follow Canadians the statue of General Wolf who as you know won the battle at the Plains of Abraham in Quebec City was damaged by a German bomb.

One of the best, definitely top 5 parks in London. It has many great and unique places and that's not even including the Royal Greenwich Observatory. In late April you can see the beautiful Sakuras blooming, in June/July the roses in the Rose Garden and there's also a little section of the park in the South East with deers! Also there's a cafe and free toilet! And one of the best viewing points on the Canary Wharf!

Beautiful historical park with great views of the Royal Naval College, Canary Wharf, The Shard and O2. We took pictures outside the Royal Observatory and by the Meridian line. It was a hot, sunny day so a great place to relax with family and friends. There is a small kids playground with sand pits. Swings and small slides. Lots of dogs around but generally a peaceful atmosphere.

  • 5/5 Kelvin B. 7 months ago on Google
Beautiful park where people gather every evening to watch the sun set over the London skyline. Love the view and the atmosphere. Add to that the Royal observatory with the Meridian Line and a view over the National Maritime Museum. And to top it of, I've spotted a fox trotting through the garden of the Royal observatory! When you leave the park there are enough big containers for your rubbish and they will even be sorted for you. The only complaint I can think of, is that the parks closes at certain hours, but it's understandable as well.

Greenwich Park offered a delightful experience, especially for our little one. We spent most of our time at the kids' park, and it was heartwarming to see our child enjoy every moment of it. Beyond the play area, the park's historic sundial caught our attention and added a touch of charm and antiquity to our visit. The beauty of Greenwich Park, with its vast green spaces and historic elements, made our time there both relaxing and educational. It's a wonderful blend of nature and history, perfect for families to unwind and explore. Highly recommended!

Ever wanted to go to the center of the earth, well that may not be possible sometime soon but I got really excited to go to the GM line where the time starts :-). Had some lovely time in the museum, walking in the park and climbing up the steep hill going to the observatory. Made me test my strength climbing the steep hill and happy to announce I did it in one go without stopping, so not as old as my gray hair may suggest. Enhoy the pictures attached :-)

Really beautiful at autumn. There’s an observatory in the middle that you have to pay (13 pounds at the time) to get inside; We didn’t go. Be aware that If you want a photo at the prime meridian, know that it’s just outside the park, in a street. There are also other meridian spots around which you don’t have to pay to get into.

Lovely walk through autumnal park. Good views of The City upstream Canary Wharf across the river and the 02 downstream. A good cup of tea and mince pie in the museum, which although free entry is now ticketed. Painted Hall now involves a charge but once paid you can revisit as often as you like for the next year. Strolled down to the river where a crow was attempting to get a cygnet to move on. Always something to stand and look at with new eyes no matter how many times you visit.

This hilly park offers beautiful views and sunsets, a wide variety of trees, and a beautiful flower garden. The flower garden feels like a "mini Kew", tree-wise. A lovely spot for a stroll, picnic or a bit of sunbathing 😊 There is (of course) also the Greenwich Meridian and Observatory, but I didn't visit those.

It a beautiful park in Greenwich. It has meridian Museum with its own historical value. The famous meridian line(0 degree) lies within this park, known as ‘prime meridian’. Though it was free before, but now a days there is a £18 entry fees for this meridian museum. The park has lots of green spaces to enjoy the sunshine. It’s very enjoyable in spring, summer as well as in autumn/ fall season. Options for drinking water, benches to take rest in between a walk/ as leisure, every basic requirements are available here. Who are travelling by car, don’t worry about parking places too as it has lots of parking spaces. Refreshment/ cafés are there too. Park entry is absolutely free.

One of my favourite parks in London. There are so many to do and walk around. - All around the year it is worthy to come and visit the park. In the winter all trees without leaves, if snow all white that families can even sleigh (as it happened this year). Autumn with the beautiful colours and the leaves falling. Spring all the park getting Ll the life back. April the cherry blossom it is the must seen. You can enjoy the Royal Observatory. Beautiful views from the city. Just the perfect party. There is also a separate area with flowers and pound that dogs are not allowed (it is a very dog friendly park). Also, I love the boat at the pound. Perfect park to all ages. Picnic in the summer. A very good place to visit and the london view point is the best. If you want to view the Cheryl blossom you have to visit as soon as the summer starts. The view point is good, nice place for a picnic and chill. You have separate places to play tennis, football etc.

This park is a tranquil oasis nestled in the heart of London and we are absolutely lucky to be living close enough to visit almost on weekly basis. With its stunning views of the city skyline, it makes you feel that you are in the centre of the world and yet the sprawling greenery makes it an intimate, neighborhood gem. We love it, especially early in the morning, when the tourists haven't arrived yet and we have it almost to ourselves.
