Wonder place to have lunch with family. My 4 years old daughter really enjoyed herself running around. Everyone was really nice and staffs were very welcoming and food was tasty and worth it.

Lovely food and atmosphere. Although the lobster got a bit lost amongst all the other ingredients of the pasta. We also tried some of the the white wines which were nice but unfortunately they did not offer the Chardonnay by the glass.

The lavender creme brulee is a must try! Crunchy on the top and soft on the inside... not too sweet and with a hint of lavender taste/ smell which is just nice and not over powering the egg custard.

Amazing restaurant with great view! Rows of vineyard right in front of restaurant. Very relaxing and great for photo taking. They have indoor or balcony which you can choose where to sit. The food comes fast too! One of the place I would recommend!

Great venue to visit with family and friends

We simply stopped in to try a couple of the beers, but ended up staying for some food. The tasting paddle was great value at $15 to taste four beers and one cider, and the food was outstanding! If you’re in the area, we would suggest stopping in here for sure! You won’t be disappointed.

Lively busy place with alfresco dining and indoor dining. Some of the tables were really narrow and not long enough. Unfortunately for us we have tall big people with us and we had to squeeze together so it wasn't pleasant or comfortable. The outdoor tables were bigger but on a winter day and with sideways rain, made for some interesting experience. Bookings essential for the restaurant. The food and drinks that we had were quite good. The special Housestead Brewery sauce was different and I liked it. Traditional fish and chips were massive servings. The burgers were big with a smaller serving of chips compared to the fish and chips. If you bring your own cake for birthday celebrations they charge for the service. There is parking it's small compared to the size of the venue. People have been parking down the drive, as in the curbside tree lined drive. We kind of missed the turn off thinking it was separate building. It was the gallery. Large toilet facilities and fully tiled and one of the fanciest we have seen. Fancier than the restaurant.

Awsum day trip up the river if you have access to a bit, are able to pull into the docks on the water, if the Sealink ferry’s are not around, between 1pm-3pm I believe. Not much food at the brewery but if you head up to the Resteraunt there is a great menu!

I really want to love this place more. Been a fair few times now, the location is amazing. Food is overpriced with very little 'range' minimal vego and no vegan options. Some staff have little to no customer service skills.

Homestead brewery is part of the Mandoon Estate Winery in the Swan Valley. They have a good selection of beers of various styles and the food is good from a fairly limited menu. A lovely setting and plenty of so have to have to wander around the grounds of the property. Great place to spend an afternoon.

Food was yum, and customer service was spot on. Only thing was we sent a few things back as one the pancakes were not cooked fully, and also the waiter was unsure on what was the decaf latte.

Disappointed with the level of service on the second evening dining here. First night: Greeted by a lovely waitress upon arriving who made me feel right at home and showed me to a table with a menu. She provided some recommendations when I asked and her choice was fantastic. The bar staff also helped out making the night go really well. Service 10, food 7, atmosphere 10 Second night: Not greeted at all. Approached the bar, was acknowledged by 1 staff who was preparing another order, another was looking at some papers; did not acknowledge me or make a drink whilst I waited 2 minutes to be served. Seated myself. Went and grabbed my own menu. Waitstaff did not acknowledge me for over 10 minutes. No apology when I was finally acknowledged. Service -10, the rest was non existent.

Food was yummy just a little lacking flavour In my burger. Ordered the buttermilk chicken. Just needed a kick or something to liven it up. However that cheesecake was the best thing I've ever tasted. Amen!! View and service also great. One tip for the staff. When rearranging tables and chairs please PICK UP the items, don't drag them across your decking whilst people are eating a mms talking. Very annoying and loud.. Ambience people!!

It took us a while to locate this brewery, but it was well worth the persistence. Lovely building and outlook, and the food and drink selection was enjoyable.

The atmosphere, staff and drinks were really good, but the food took about 40 minutes to come out. I got the steak medium-rare. The steak itself was very thin, it had no flavour and was well done. My friend had the burger which was amazing, so I don't know what happened to my steak 😥.

Wanted to try the breakfast menu but ends at 10! Got here at 10.45… will have to wake up earlier 😅 The lunch menu was limited but the wagyu burger was delicious. Got the tasting paddle for $15. Decent beers. The view is lovely looking over the vineyard and purple jacaranda trees in the background. Jasmine surrounds the car park which smells amazing. Playground and lovely grassed area for the kids.

Went for a midweek coffee, which turned into an early lunch. Coffee was made great, could have been hotter. Ginger beer, Grenache and Verdelho all couldn't be faulted either. Enjoyed a few shares plates of fried squid, pork nachos and chips. All food was really tasty and fresh. Nachos would have been better if they had cheese, which I did expect. Finished the meal off with a rhubarb sour (was way sweeter than expected) and espresso Martini (nicely made). All in all was a very enjoyable meal and would return.

We have always loved Mandoon Estate but this is the first time we have eaten at the Homestead Brewery and it will definetely be our last. I ordered the health bowl and a ginger beer. The ginger beer tasted like sugar. Just a glass of sugared water and not even a hint of ginger. I did not try any other beer and two were not available. For lunch I ordered the Health Bowl with Quinoa and millet. As they had taken the menus away I was questioning myself as to what I had ordered and I checked with the waitress if there was meant to be quinoa with my millet. She said oh they have probably forgotten or run out. She clearly couldn’t see it my bowl. Wow. She came back and said oh it’s white quinoa and it’s mixed in with the millet. I advised her that I didn’t think this was the case and that the meal wasn’t worth it. She shrugged her shoulders. I had eaten some of the dish before I took photos but even the vegetables looked awful and there was not a hint of quinoa and if I was a chef I wouldn’t have used white quinoa with millet. Anyhow they took it on board and didnt charge me for their undrinkable ginger beer. I would advise going to mandoon and getting their outdoor chips and pizzas before you buy food in Homestead. The menu is limited and totally misses the mark and the food is way overpriced and underrated. The staff said they would advise the chef but were happy to let us go disatisfied.

Homestead brewery provided a great lunchtime dining experience that left everyone in our group satisfied. The venue is really nice and the staff were very attentive. The beer was of a high standard with a large variety to choose from. All the food was well received with the fish and chips being a standout. The only negative was that the entree was forgotten and came out after the mains. However it was made free of charge and dealt with professionally.

Had a lovely lunch experience here, where we ordered the wagyu burger and the BBQ Chicken pizza. The burger was delicious with a well cooked patty and the pizza was tender and tasty. The waiters here were very friendly and both the interior and outside is beautiful! Would recommend and come here again

This is a cafe in a vineyard. The view is great! Nice blue sky over rows and rows of grapevines (but no grapes). Food was ok. The sourdough with clam chowder was especially great! The pasta, pizza etc are good too.

Lovely venue, staff were all wonderful and efficient. Food was devine! We did have to wait for our mains for a while, but after mentioning it, my 2 drinks I had ordered ended up complimentary to apologise. All in all, very happy with the whole experience. Also loved that their menus clearly states and has options for dietary requirements. I am dairy free and we chose this place based on the fact their menu had DF options and clearly listed.

Wow! Was part of a group tour. This place is very well presented and clearly markets to an audience looking for that pop! It has multiple dining areas catering to family gatherings through to high end private functions. The menu was broad and the food good. If you've got friends from out of town, this would be good day out to impress.

Great atmosphere and delicious food. I had the Chicken Winter Salad. It was flavourful, crunchy with the lettuce and pomegranate and wholesome.

Really nice food, great service and big servings. Nice grounds to relax in and enjoy icecream or a tasting paddle.

Ordering is done via QR code. 1 drink was forgotten. There wasn't enough knife's for the table. Menu's weren't taken after ordering. Breakfast quesadilla had packet slides beef, not beef brisket as it should. Coffee was also terrible. Would not recommend for breakfast.

The ambience was the best, and the restaurant oversees the winery yard. We tried their lamb pizza. Well maintained vine yard. The lamb pieces on pizza were good, but beer was average. The pizza crust or bread was average. Potato chips and Salad were good but portion small.

Invited for lunch at Homestead Brewery on Sunday. The venue was packed. On placing the order, was impressed at the level of service and how quickly the food was brought out. Good serving and the food tasted good. Overall 4/5, for service, food and value for money. Would go back again? Yes.

We went in a group and had prompt, friendly service. The waygu burger was excellent- it even had orange cheese- Americans rejoice! I also had a rhubarb sour cocktail, which was tasty and well-balanced (not too sweet, or too sour). Beautiful grounds and views. I will be coming back again for sure. Would be a great place to bring guests to show them how great the Swan Valley can be!

Used to really enjoy the menu and service here, but the last 3 visits to homestead the quality has slid on both. Your floor team look very inexperienced over the weekend; I've never seen staff and Duty managers running in a restaurant before. Needs a reset.

Booked for my partner's 24th, absolutely amazing! It was my first time eating here and I had no idea how amazing the food was. Quality of service, food and drink was top notch. Definitely will come here again for another special occasion! Exceeded my expectations!

The food here tastes good. Good landscapes, playgrounds and vineyards seem to be well managed. But what I feel every time I visit here is that they are not friendly. So I hesitate to come here with my family or my clients. If you want to spend time alone, recommend this place! (Even though this place wasn't very busy, The employees look exhausted. I think that happy service comes from happy staff.)

I don't usually write bad reviews but the customer service we received today was poor at best, I expected much better from a place as nice as this one, the food was pretty good but that's were the good stuff ends. We arrived at 7:30pm, were greeted at the door, the lady was quite nice, she told us to put all our orders through by 8pm which was understandable, we sat at the table, one of the waitresses told us that we could order food before 8pm and desserts before 8:30pm, we told her to double check with front of house as we got told 8pm, she later came back with the drinks and took our main orders, telling us she'd come back later for the desserts, we told her we would like to get more drinks as well. We finished the entree (we just shared some bread) and we were waiting for our mains for 15mins when another waitress came and asked us if she could put the main orders through to the kitchen?? Lucky they came out pretty quick however it didnt really give us much time to enjoy them as it was getting near closing time. Not at any point did the waitress come back to take more drink orders, when another waitress came to clear the table, we asked her for desserts and she never came back... We waited until closing time and had to leave... My partner mentioned this to the manager as I was paying, who said would speak to the staff but not at any point offered a refund or anything...

I had the special which was lamb chops and it was amazing except for the topping which had way to much vinaigrette. My partner had the burger, the patty was over cooked and not nearly big enough to justify the $26. The biggest let down though was the service! Absolutely horrible! From the minute we walked in we were told we have to order everything before 8pm meals , deserts etc (our booking was for 7:45pm) were taken to a table which then took another 5 mins for someone to come with menus who then told us meals by 8pm and desert by 8:30pm! We asked her to check this and she come back 10 minutes later to take our food/ drinks order then told us she would come back for deserts. Took another 5 minutes just to get drinks so by this point it's 20 mins since we were seated and only just got drinks. Entre come out and was great but then 10 minutes later someone comes to ask if we want our mains put through to the kitchen?! Why wasn't this already done?? Meals finally come and as above were pretty good but we sit there for 30 mins waiting for someone to check on us and take our desert and 2nd drink order but nothing... Finally wave the manager over who tells us she will check with kitchen if they will do deserts but never comes back to us with an answer! By this point we are over it... Nearly $100 on dinner and would of gotten better service at Macca's. We won't waste our time going back.

We went here at the weekend for birthday family lunch. Food was average and overpriced. Fish was overcooked and we got very little meat on the pizza. Customer Service was shocking. The lady at the cashier can not handle when we complained that we ware not told that we only have a table for 90 minutes when we made a booking by phone. The lady who at the counter seems she does not care. She just want us to pay and leave. When we addresssed again the issue as we did not get proper respond. She got annoyed and said She said 'Ive got your name and number, I will block you!'. We were shocked. Never get treated poorly like that before. We were paying more than $200 and the service that we received was worse than McDonalds. If you do not want your special occassion to be ruined, I suggest do not come to this place. I strongly DO NOT RECOMMEND Homestead Brewery.

Good beers and a nice setting but really bad menu. Not the kind of food you want from a brewery very limited menu and not many share foods at all(pizza excluded but they weren't the best)

Not happy Jan- purchased the cheese board and it was very poor - poor in quality and quantity - could have got a better cheese board from Woolworths - wines are nice but the food in general was very average. Not sure if I’ll come again

Great beer and good food. A limited menu, but everything on there is well made. And their pickles are the best, made by them I believe. Ask for extra pickles when you order the burger.... Well worth it (if you like lots of pickles😉)

One of the best cooked steaks I've ever had from any restaurant, complements the the chefs and staff great work guys!!

  • 3/5 Dendal D. 3 years ago on Google
Not the best night. Had to capture waitstaff to get a drink after 20 minutes of being ignored, those empty glasses stayed on the table till we left. Small waygu steak, the pasta had a hint of beef cheeks, had to capture staff to get our order, in between us closing the door that was by the table, one thing for other customers to leave open, bit rude when the staff do it. Merlot was very average. Go on a Sunday as we got over serviced on our previous visit. Saturday too busy and paying top dollar to be ignored not the best experience.
