Mid-sized town located about 70 km from Quito, it would take you about 1h30 to get here. The town is known for its indigenous traditions, among them their food: bizcochos, cheese, yogurt and Tortillas. The town celebrates the summer solstice with a big event, it coincides with the Saint Peter's celebration. A must see is the central square and cathedral church. Ideal place if you want to spend a weekend in the rural area but fortunately you'll be able to have access to restaurants, supermarkets and multiple stores in the town.
