It's fine, except the ships can't dock and people need to get off by tender boats which takes longer. Once out the port there are taxis/buses and vendors selling trips. You are also right in the shopping center and bar area. $6 to take the cab to the beach.

Thanks to Hurricane Dorian, our 3 night Bahamian cruise turned into a 6 night cruise with a stop in Grand Cayman. It was awesome to hear all the Disney Dream Cast/Crew talk about how our ship had NEVER been to this port! Grand Cayman made sure our ship had plenty of adventures to go on while in port, and were so hospitable!

Water was post card perfect. Venders were not pushy like Jamaica. Since there was no terminal all ships had to use shuttles. Had to book a tour once we got there for the 100 ft submarine dive. Took the mid day one and had only 7 of us besides 3 crew in the sub. Very exciting. Town was very safe. Don't forget to take pics of the cops directing traffic.

This port was nice, but small. We couldn’t find a island/city bus, maybe because it was Sunday, so we tried to get a taxi. They only offered large bus like taxis going to 7 mile beach. We asked about a taxi to Spotts beach and were told we couldn’t get one. The lady in charge was very condescending about the whole thing. She called other people over to discuss that they couldn’t get a taxi for us and how silly it was that we even asked. Then once we gave up and decide we’re going to just ride the bus/taxi to 7 mile since that was our only option she came over and said that for $30 for the 4 mile drive to Spotts beach she could get us a taxi. We decided that $60 round trip to go 4 miles away was crazy that we’d stick with our other plan. They were holding signs that they offer rides to these 5 or so different beaches but half of the beaches are closed and they actually only drive you to one beach and drop you off and then you have to walk to the other beaches from there. It all seems a bit sketchy and strange to me. When we were almost to the beach the driver told us it’d be $24. The agreement when we boarded was $6 to go to the beach. We had 2 ppl so that’s $12, but he told us we had to pay $24 and meet him back at the bus at the pick up time he chose for us. It was all just a way for him to make sure we took his bus back so he could get our money. The whole experience at the port felt very underhanded and deceptive.

Nice port, as everyone says smaller but by design. Tender operation was smooth. All the shops were super commercialized. Island is super clean and expensive as you could expect.

Such an incredible place. Don’t bother asking if they will stamp your passport book, they get a bit angry about it. The water was crystal clear and the weather simply perfect! It was truly a magical time.

The port was clean and safe....however; it is very small. We cruised in on the Carnival and had to take a Taxi/Shuttle like boat to the port(Favorite Part)It was so much fun.The water was beautiful...Can't wait to go bk.

Nice port, clean restrooms and several shops around the port. Be a smart shopper and compare prices for those souvenirs bc the price can be as much as $2 more for shot glasses and T-shirts. The port is clean and has benches and shade for shoppers to rest. Today the area was roped off all over. Not sure what that was about but it was an eyesore. Will visit again in the future. Merchants were mostly friendly, one store had you show your sail and sign card before you exited their shop which I thought was a little off putting. Otherwise it was a good port. This is a tendered port if you should cruise 🚢.

Port of grand cayman was busy but friendly, grounds were clean with a lot of shops for clothing, souvenirs and pharmaceutical needs. There are a few excursion desks for booking tours and excursions. Taxi services are available for a fee Weather was perfect and the air was fresh!

No port infrastructure means we had to tender off of our cruise ship to get to port. Water was pretty choppy, which made the boat tender unstable. Port itself had the usual touristy shops and personnel to help direct people to where they needed to go. Overall, a proper port would make for a better experience for tourists.
