You can expect a relaxing stay with a very laid-back atmosphere, almost like as if you are far from the hustle and bustle of the main metropolis. Locals love to stay here even if just for lunch and afternoon dip in the pool. Rooms are okay, nothing fantastic though. Their rules and policies can be somewhat strict though, especially if you tell them that you are booking rooms there for wedding preparations. They won't allow wedding shoots at their garden unless you also booked their function room for the wedding reception. They have a separate fee to use their garden as a photo shoot location.

๐Ÿคฎ๐Ÿคฎ๐Ÿคฎ๐Ÿคฎ๐Ÿคฎ Worst experience ever. The front desk scammed us. When the check-in date, they informed us we have free breakfast and let us know the time and venue of breakfast restaurant very kindly. But guess what? The last day all of a sudden they announced us in fact we dont have breakfast and charged us for the meal we had before. This is just so unfair. And the staff is so lazy, unprofessional and irresponsible. She doesnโ€™t have any willingness to solve the problem and just repeats the same sentence again and again like a parrot. Donโ€™t believe these people. At first they tried to be friends as much as possible to obtain ur trust but once you trust them, they will scammed you.

We felt luxury by staying in this hotel. Itโ€™s the only garden hotel at the heart of Cebu City. When you are inside, it feels so peaceful and you are like in the outskirts of Cebu, when in fact, itโ€™s actually very crowded outside. The room is clean and elegant. We had a small veranda overlooking the garden. They change the linens and towels every day (unless you tell them that you intend to reuse them). Toiletries they provide are shampoo, conditioner, soap, dental kit (toothbrush and paste), body wash, and lotion. Our room had a cable TV, small refrigerator, telephone, electric water pot/heater, and hair blower. We enjoyed the hot/cold showers. They also put bottles of water, coffee, creamer and sugar everyday. Wifi is very good especially in the rooms.

Wow hotel and a very relaxing place to stay to chillax, to swim, to eat, to do wedding, gathering, training. The place was really beautiful and the rooms are great. The staff are so kind and easily be called when needed and this place is highly recommended for sweethearts, friends and other people who love staycation.

I have stayed 3 nights at Montebello. Itโ€™s a nice hotel with great ambience and wonderful breakfast. Value for money. The only issue I faced was the room lighting. A kind of warm lighting which is not sufficient and the hot water shower was not functioning correctly.

How can you run a hotel of this stay with only trainees...at the restaurant, at the reception, housekeeping... Never again! The staff told me everything changed with new owners.

What a shame for a place that was so nice. Nothing professional anymore, very disappointed. Only trainees staff, no manager...but still full price. Terrible. Last time for us here.

Beautiful hotel, even better service. Some of the rooms need updating but everything else there is top notch. The people were great! Food was great. Such a great experience. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Room was very spacious, but tremendously outdated (felt like 30 years old). No hot water in the shower. Staff didn't really seem to care when I mentioned it at check out. The grounds are expansive, with lush gardens and a great swimming pool. Breakfast was generous with lots of options.

This place is definitely how Cebu should feel! Warm, friendly, fresh, classic, and sophisticated. The gardens are scenic, along with the pools and ponds they have that you can actually fish in. Food is quality and so is the service. You won't need elevators since they only go up to the 2nd floor as far as I know. It's basically a really really really big house without crossing the hotel line. It's perfect for events too! The aura and ambiance is just relaxing. The only sad part is that they're closing. Enjoy it while you can since they will stop operations sometime Feb 2020. Rumors say they are turning it into one of those over commercialized casino-hotel things. Which is just too bad.

Very relaxing place, a bit far from the airport. Some rooms with mould and drainage problems. Wonderful garden with a professional bar. Restaurant have sometimes very good food and sometimes bad. The big swimming pool can occasionally have rather dirty water unfortunately. Perfect for weddings and birthdays

That was my first time to go to Philippine with my coworker. We had been there five years ago. Every morning was so great. We are not in a hurry. Just enjoying our breakfast . After that, We going to the poolside . Listen to the music. Take a lot of pictures . All day alone was relaxing time. We also went to the Church in the hotel. The food , Sun. Wind. flower. Everything was so perfect. Unforgettable time. Just hope we still have chance to visit there.

Despite having a prior reservation for a standard room and arriving well before the check-in time which is 2pm, the continual delays in providing the room caused considerable inconvenience. Although we managed to check in merely five minutes before 4 pm and appreciated their offer of a room upgrade, these persistent delays resulted in us missing the 6 pm event, as we still needed time to prepare. Their inadequate time management not only inconvenienced us significantly but also led to a substantial waste of our time.

Booked a junior suite through Agoda which is a bit cheaper. I had to use cash during the first day of my stay since their cc scanners won't work, eventually work the next day. Breakfast buffet was good; had lots of choices. Baked bacon, scarmbled eggs, baked penne, mixed herb veggies, bread, cereal, teriyaki chicken, fish etc. I did not like the juice and coffee they made. Pool was clean and I enjoyed it.

Is hidden at the back of Gaisano Countrymall. The food was great. We had a few buffet sessions held here.

Good hotel. Gardens are great, Service is great, Air conditioning is great, rooms are clean, but I'm giving this a 3-star rating because the public wifi is a no-go. Extremely slow wifi that fails miserably, but if you are looking for a great hotel, this is the place to go.

Spanish style accommodations complete with machuca tiles, manicured expansive lawns of grasses and trees, bridged pond with mallards (lots of open spaces so you won't feel boxed-in despite new developments and constructions mushrooming around the property), 2 pools (a lap pool and a freestyle, with good depth) wonderful glass-walled resto and a buffet breakfast spread with variety, right at the HEART of the metro! Staffs were unobtrusive but friendly and always smiling. At room 2309, once the shower goes hot, there's no turning back to lukewarm or cold, it'll stay scalding hot so be careful. And birds nested on the bathroom window (permanent wooden slats above the toilet), so you'll be hearing chirping nonstop while you're inside the loo. Gym was satisfactory but unmanned so you might ask for help if you're unfamiliar turning on machines (threadmill, bike, stand-up aircons, lights). There are gym towels and water dispenser but no paper cups so bring a waterbottle or an emptied plastic water bottle to refill from the dispenser. Pool guards (gradual depth up to 6th feet on both pool) and pool towels are available. If you don't have a private car, going out from the entrance lobby to the main road involves a bit of a walk but manageable, otherwise, Grab rides are readily available and allowed to enter until the lobby entrance/reception (pick-up 2; as opposed to pick-up 1 which is near the gate entrance). Front desk personnels need to be more fluent and adept in communicating; and more flexible (I was 2 hours early but I did indicate a request for an early check-in in my booking) as receptionist said I need to pay an additional 1/2 of rate of a 1 day stay if I wanted to be brought to my assigned room right there and then! I vehemently and vigorously answered "NO!" and refused that offer. The hotel was not even full and busy, it was unusually quiet even. I used it (projected imaginary charging) instead to have a relaxed lunch at their resto, and that was a great lunch (pumpkin soup, calamari, a glass of white, then brewed coffee)! I will, very likely, consider staying here again.

Ambiance is awesome. Sitting by the pool is perfect to enjoy their meal. Huge portions. Shitake mushroom soup was ๐Ÿ‘Œ. Steaks were not available. Settled for Bao, Beef Salpicao and potato chips. Great to spend time with family and loved ones.

The place is clean and very beautiful. It made us feel like we are not in the city. The food is amazing specially their chicken lollies, and spaghetti, my kids love it. The pool is clean too, and safe since a lifeguard is always there looking. Worth the price.

Convenient for swimming and dining, and the entire place is kid-friendly. We went for a Day Tour swimming and to dine. Food is good and place is cozy. They have cabanas to give you some "resort" feels. There's hot and cold shower easily accessible to the pool area. The place wasn't cramped/crowded when we went on a Friday afternoon. There's sufficient parking as well. Swimming entrance is Php500 per person (Php300 consumable per adult and Php200 consumable per child).

This hotel is situated in a busy estate and there are many eateries within walking distance. There are 2 shopping areas nearby, though not the modern shopping complex. The old wing has older standard rooms with noisy air-conditioning and basic facilities. The hotel serves American breakfast. Staff is very friendly. Security looks good. I recommend this hotel for your stay.

Our stay here was amazing! The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming, the food was delicious, and everything was super clean. Would give it more stars but can only give five. The bartender helped me craft a drink after kindly explaining why absinthe is prohibited.

I recently stayed at the Montebello Villa Hotel and had an absolutely amazing experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff was friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The hotel itself is beautiful, with stunning architecture and tastefully decorated rooms that were both comfortable and stylish. One of the highlights of my stay was the incredible service at the hotel bar. The bartender, Paul, was absolutely fantastic. He was knowledgeable about the drinks and made excellent recommendations based on my preferences. His attention to detail was impressive, and he went above and beyond to ensure that my drinks were perfect. Not only was Paul an exceptional bartender, but he also had a great personality and was a pleasure to talk to. He made me feel like a valued guest, and his friendly demeanor added to the overall positive experience at the hotel. In addition to the great service, the Montebello Villa Hotel also offers a variety of amenities that made my stay even more enjoyable. The pool was exceptionally well-maintained, and the hotel restaurant served delicious food. Overall, I would highly recommend the Montebello Villa Hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and enjoyable stay in Cebu. The exceptional service, beautiful accommodations, and friendly staff make it the perfect choice for any traveler. And don't forget to visit the bar and meet the amazing bartender, Paul!

Elegant place, really an oasis to relax from the busy town live. Facilities are great, breakfast buffet has a huge variety of warm and cold food. Some rooms seem a little bit old styled, but still acceptable

Classical Montebello. Spanish colonial style. This is a gem in Cebu. It has a large garden in the middle of a buzzing city.

This place is wonderful, it was built on the big area. When you come this hotel, you are together nature, everywhere is green. I think it is relaxing. Rooms are big, capacious and clean. Meals are delicious and there are various meals. Swimming pool is big. Employees are helpful and cheerful. They organize wedding ceremonies if you want, you have good choice.
