Made a same-day reservation. There was no queue when we arrived. Accommodating staff though you will only see a handful of them around, maybe because they newly restarted the operation or they offer more of "self-service". A lot of food varieties. From different kinds of meat to seafoods to dimsums to desserts and drinks! They are prompt in refilling. Overall great experience and affordable! Highly recommend and would likely to go back.

This is a bit disappointing actually. They charge 5% service fee but service was bad. Hotpot server and dishing out are quick but refilling the food takes so long. I went there on a Sunday so a lot of customer was around during lunch time so maybe they should have prepare what needs to be prepared, we dined in a bit earlier and there were like 3 other big families around but cooked food were already gone and took some time for them to refill but food for barbeque and hotpot is always available so I suggest you get cooked food first then come back for the food that needs cooking. We were accomodated even though we were just walk-ins and asked if we wanted the seaview.

TL;DR: The food is honestly mediocre for the price. Dining experience is unique, and has a nice view if you're seated in the windows. If you're looking for a unique buffet experience, this is the place. [Sorry if the photo quality is bad] Location - the location is quite good, the atmosphere of the place gives this authentic feel that you're eating in an Asian restaurant. Service - The staff are helpful, and they give you a complimentary slice of cake on your birthday, so that's cool. The supply of food is also quite consistent, where the food is never gone for over 1-2 minutes and is always restocked quickly even if the venue is full Food - There is a bountiful amount of variety in the food. There's soup where you can select every aspect of it, from the veggies and meat that go inside it, to the type of noodles that you want. There's salads, sushi, ice cream, and even meat and chicken strips that you can grill, with a sauce dip that you can fully customize, and a variety of drinks like infused water, fruit drinks, soft drinks, and even alcoholic drinks. However, even with the variety I think that the food tasted mediocre, especially the sushi. The Asian food and the soup ingredients were the only ones worth mentioning and the rest are pretty "meh".

They have a lot of meat choices, but from the variety it gets hard to try every single thing. I didn’t like any of their juices but they had sodas so it’s okay. It’s worth your money if you have a big appetite and you’re very hungry.

Good place to dine for unlimited food with shabu-shabu and grill. The serving on meat for the grill is a little bit slow. Has a wide range of options for shabu-shabu.

I'm giving full stars as this was our first coming here. We had lots of discount since we have 1 birthday celebrant and 1 senior citizen. The food was great. Speaking of food we love their Sweet & Sour pork. They have bottom less drinks plus their San Miguel Pilsen 🤣 I think the only downside is the choices of food. Because 50-70% of the food is cook yourself. So if you don't know how to cook or if you don't how to mix the ingredients to cook their food, then you will have to resort to taking the already cook food their. When we arrived their is a waiting list. Better to come here in a not busy time hours. Though we only waited for 30 minutes max. Suggestions for the people want to come here is to make sure you have an empty stomach. Highly recommended ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Actually, I have high expectations for this place. I thought I would enjoy it in a very different and good way. It turned out, it's just okay. I mean the grilling and their menu for grilling are many compared to others who have the same system. The best thing about Tong Yang is their hotpot. I really enjoyed it and again they have a variety of ingredients to choose from. Also, I love their dumplings. Sadly, there's not much when we went there.

If you been to any buffet before like Vikings or yakimix , , ! Tong yang don’t offer that much of choices in their food.. shrimp tempura is dry, and their sushi is just below average… Well it’s a good try naman to dine her with attentive staff.

We went to this place when it first opened and thought it was pretty good. But their quality quickly dropped off and, surprise, surprise, they closed down. This was a few years ago, well before the Covid-19 pandemic. Recently, it opened up again. My wife and I gave it try again . . . and were both sorely disappointed with the buffet. Dishes that were in high demand, like tempura, were made only in ridiculously small batches that disappeared immediately, followed by an inexplicably long wait for the next batch. The sushi rolls were without actual raw fish in them. The centers were stuffed with cheap alternatives, like egg. The tables have stoves built-in for cooking meats and veggies to go with their flavorless broths. How hard can it be to have a little flavor in your broth? It kind of ruins the whole experience. None of their buffet dishes were better than mediocre. Overall, a truly horrible experience . . . my wife agrees: even worse than we remembered.

Located at SM Seaside Seaview wing Upper Ground at the end of the Hallway. Plenty of space available around 6pm to place guests. Main theme is grilling and cooking to your liking at your table. You can choose from a comprehensive selection of vegetables, and various fish balls, and tofu, shells and meats, and fish, beef, and etc etc from the buffet to cook in 5 or 6 basic broths. The the taste depends on you and the ingrediances you choose. You can also select different sauces to give it a kick. Also have a look for the Asian buffet which offers a decent selection of sushi, and albeit with homeopathic levels of raw fish. So don't expect the selection and sushi quality of a pure sushi place but still ok. Quality generally is OK to good. We had a very nice evening in a larger group and self cooking and grilling was very entertaining while spending time together. I probably would visit again

The workers are friendly, especially Mark, and the food was very delicious. Their desserts are not really that sweet well some and if you want to grill then I suggest to come here in Tong Yang and find any other food you want to grill.

I only gave them four stars rather than five because I think there should be more vegan and vegetarian options in the buffet.

The experience was great! It always has been, we've been eating here since it opened in the past years. The food is always fresh and the staff are very accommodating. Sending my compliments to their chefs and staff, especially Chef James ✨

The food is great and also the desserts are delicious. The service is good, well groomed, ready and active. Mark is the one who serves us on our table and the way he approach us is super friendly and loves to interact with the customers.

The place has a great interior design. Great staff. The place is good for group gatherings. They have a group room as well. The only problem would be the food buffet, it’s always the same and they lack variety. Although their meats are fine and the soup is okay, they still need to add more variety to their buffet options. Overall, it’s alright.

It was my first time and it was okay. It is a weekday so not crowded. There are only 2 cuisines so there are not much choices. Food takes a long time to get refilled. Though there are lots of choices for the grill station but because there are so many, you cannot try them all. Some juices are bland. But the staff are so friendly. And the desserts were good too.
