This was an incredible hotel, with great facilities. The room was good quality. We had a beautiful view of the hills. Pool is great with a lovely view. Even the quality of the shampoo/conditioner etc. was brilliant. The most incredible thing, and what led me to leave this review, was the breakfast which was included in our stay. I have been travelling now for 7 weeks, and have stayed in a number of different hotels - this was by far the most impressive breakfast buffet I have seen during my travels and possibly in my life!! Would recommend

We picked this place for their rating and it didn't disappoint. The customer service level of Citadines is five star! They are very responsible, respectful, and on the ball for everything. It is clean, comfortable, and very westernized. Love this place! We also loved that there were stores nearby that we can walk to and feel safe. Their restaurant, Abaca is excellent!

A little pricey for Quarantine purposes if you are traveling. I would recommend to make sure to ask for the total price/ billing of your stay including the taxes because they didn't include ours from our initial bill. Their rooms are really clean and the customer service was good but the bed was a little small and its not the one seen from their photos online. I wont recommend going here if you are considering on having a nice meal. The food delivered for quarantine purposes has small portions and they only allow limited options to buy food outside the hotel to be delivered into your room which is also very expensive. I would recommend bringing your own food for 10 days instead of ordering with them. They have a good WIFI/ Internet connection and a nice TV but they have limited channels. Kitchen needs are complete, but you wont be able to use it if you can't get enough food.

Nice location in the city, good access to restaurants by walking distance. Room was big with nice bathroom and a kitchenette. The pool is quite big for the hotel size but no hot spa. Gym is pretty small though. The breakfast is fantastic..more like that of 4 or 5 star hotel.

I didn't have enough pictures from our stay but it was a great experience. Called the front desk for a late check in. Glad they allowed it because we checked in at around 10pm. We had a very long day and Citadines didn't disappoint. Talk about comfort and convenience? They have it. The room we had was spacious, clean and it has literally everything we need! The first one for us that it has kitchen utensils, like you can actually cook! Huge fridge, clean working induction cooker, big microwave and a gallon of water which is the most important. The bathroom is very clean. I like that they have big bottles of bath soap, shampoo and lotion. They all smell so good! Everything is just so perfect that we want to live there! We'll definitely be coming back! The best hotel in the heart of the city!

This place used to be nice but has gone downhill. Upon arrival, we were greeted with some strange personal questions by staff. Once in the room, it felt small and cramped, and I had a view of a wall that was depressing. I also noticed the hot water in the showers lasted only five minutes, then was cold. In the shower, you will notice they put zip ties on the shampoo bottles so you can not get a full pump of soap. They do this to save money on shampoo. It's pretty frustrating and just dumb for a luxury hotel. The soap dispenser in the kitchen is filled with mostly water and a little soap mixed in. At every step, they try and nickle and dime you. It's not a good look. I'm sure there is someone thinking they are smart and making lots of money this way, but it's dumb. Nobody in any quality business cheats their customers. The laundry machine use is 300 pesos, which you have to pay for at the front desk and get a token for one wash and one dry. It is also very annoying and dumb. No wonder why they have to save money because they are losing customers like me. I will definitely stay somewhere else next time. Breakfast downstairs is a circus. It is jam-packed with customers and too small an area for the number of people in the hotel. You will wait in line like a pendejo to order your omlette and breathe peoples breath as you are sandwiched in between them like tilapia in a fish pond . I would say that the staff there are very well trained and friendly and do their best. It's obvious this hotel is packed now because it had great reviews in the past. It does not live up to its expectations now and can not handle the added capacity. They have probably changed management or just made some dumb decisions bc they think their success will last forever. There are many options for hotels in cebu, and I have already found some nice serviced apartments I will stay at next time instead of here. The shining star during my stay was front desk staff Dominic. He tried his best to address my concerns and was very professional. I commend him on his service.

I like apartment type hotels, it makes you feel at home so I enjoyed my stay here. It's convenient to cook my food and just drop by the supermarket below. The rooms are clean, too bad I wasn't able to plunge in the pool.. Too much work🥴 not much guests during my stay due to Covid-19

The hotel is close to the center 20 mins walk to Ayala Malls. The room has a foul smell when we checked in . Called staff and they have to fixed it right away. Room is ok basic service apartment can ask for.robinson is on the LG very convenient to shop. Many laundry within the vicinity. Buffet lots of selection. Although no proper cereal like muesli, they have cornflakes and sweet once. Gym was very basic . pool Size ok. Nothing special.

We chose Citadines because of proximity to sights and popular restaurants. But really, the 1-bedroom suite's in-unit washer-dryer. Unfortunately, the suite is probably not booked often. It was in poor condition when we arrived. Pros: There were few (maybe actual) vegetarian options at breakfast that's not bread -- it's not that easy for vegetarians in the Philippines. We got an early check-in (8+ am) that costs half the daily room rate. It only took 35 min from the airport on a Thursday in early May at 7:30am and 45min on a Friday going to the airport at 8:15am. Major con: The 1-bedroom suite assigned to us was in pretty bad shape. 1. We opened the door and half of the living room blackout curtains were on the floor. The rod and screws fell off the ceiling. The ceiling by the bedroom window was cracked too. 2. The couch and dining room chairs were dusty and a bit itchy. 3. The bed sheet had yellow stains and black lines. We called the reception who sent housekeeping. 4. The bathroom tiles were not that clean and the grout had mold marks, which was a common theme in 3/4 of the hotels we stayed in the Philippines (including 4 & 5-star ones) 5. The shower's hot water was inconsistent. Note for those who want to do in-unit laundry: The Electrolux washer-dryer did a good job washing but drying took 3 hrs for 1 kg of laundry. We didn't get to wash everything because of this. There's an iron to help dry the damp clothes before packing though.

The location was in a safe area! The hotel was very clean, and cozy. The staff were amazing. Incredibly friendly and polite all the time! The breakfast is unfortunately so much that you can’t really try everything. So you have to stay at least a week for that :D. The pool is what you shouldn’t miss for sure!!!

I stayed here during Covid when there were mandatory quarantines upon entry to the country. It was actually not miserable to be locked in one room for seven days because of the great view and the ability to eat from Abaca downstairs. When I have had other friends stay there they have loved it and the service is exceptional. They provide little local gifts as a warm welcome! I also enjoy the local art and flavor and ways it is decorated. Access to plenty around the area as well from gyms to grocery stores to good restaurants and coffee shops. Great location.

Chic, modern rooms. Nice sunrise view from East facing rooms. Pool is good for swimming laps. Exercise room is small but adequate. Restaurant below the hotel has the best breakfast buffet I've ever had. Truly amazing. The hotel is well taken care of. The staff is friendly and not fake.

Top quality condotel at a very affordable price. Checked in for a valentine getaway this year and was amazed of its amenities, didn’t expect its amenities to be classy yet comfy and spacious. Their pool can get a bit crowded and for reservation use only. You need to book pool usage ahead of time. They offer a consumable amount for breakfast in Abaca, Inc. The entire stay was nice since the room itself is well furnished and since we can cook while we’re there.

Location-wise, nice staff, clean rooms, and plenty of choices of breakfast. Checked in on July 21, 2023, and checked out on July 23, 2023, I left my white dress, a small bottle of shampoo, conditioner, and feminine wash, after a few days I came back hoping to get my dress even just the dress, receptionist call housekeeping department but they said I didn't leave anything I felt very disappointed, I believe hotels have a “lost and found” that guest can still claim unless you left your stuff for years already.

This hotel is in good location with mini mart and restaurants. But the room toilet smells and no house keeping cleans the room. Probably my last stay in this hotel.

Stayed overnight for a concert at the Waterfront Hotel. Staff are nice and friendly and we got to our room pretty quickly. Loved the water dispenser in the room. Sheets and towels were great as well and clean throughout. Very spacious twin room! However, the aircon could not handle Cebu’s warm temps, only 2 out of 3 elevators were functional and breakfast downstairs at Abaca was a riot.

Citadines is an example of a serviced apartment brand that blends the luxuries of home and the glamour of a hotel experience in one property. The Deluxe room categories at Citadines Cebu city are well designed and utilizes the 32 square meter floor area with neatly laid out amenities. The full kitchen features a built-in induction cooktop and retractable range hood. Pots, Pans, and all necessary cooking and prepping utensils are available in-room. The large dispenser jug with drinking water is both an environmentally progressive and convenient. I appreciate the layout of the kitchen, small but functional. The bed is soften enough to be comfortable and supportive for the back. 2 pillows are provided by default but 2 extra pillows are provided in the closet. Ironing board and iron also in the closet. The bathroom is compact but neat. Shower water pressure is not strong, but perfectly acceptable. Provided bathroom amenities smell good and are conveniently attached to the walls for ease of use. Basic acme branded toothpaste dental set is provided, as well as a vanity kit. Breakfast is offered at Abaca Restaurant on the ground level beside the entrance. Walk-In Rate is PHP 880 nett per person. Good selection of hot meals and many options for baked goods. Worth it as Abaca is a popular upmarket bakery cafe that you can find around Cebu. I would definitely return to enjoy the pool, relax in the beautiful rooms, and again savor the awesome breakfast buffet. Easily the best place to stay when you want to visit the downtown area of Cebu.

This place was picture perfect. I can not say enough about the staff. They were amazing. I love the way they greeted me every single time I went in or out of the building. Room was on point. Everything I could possibly ask for. Grocery store in the basement. Oh wait!!!! Breakfast!!! You want to talk about a spread. I was in heaven. This was the best of the Philippines for me. The food was so good. Yes I have picture! Everything was great

The rooms and service was good. everything was going great not until one of their drivers who was supposed to pick us up going to the airport didn’t show up on time. We almost missed our flight because of this certain “CARIMAN” who did not even advise that he was going to be 40 minutes late! Good work on ruining a trip that was supposed to be stress free.

Worst experience. The staff already apologized for the inconvenience they caused me and my wife on our anniversary but the bad experience we got from that day will be her forever trauma. A simple notification is very much appreciated but the team failed to do so, not even a heads up beforehand was made. Please respect the fact that privacy is very important for everyone, even if it's a rule of the hotel to clean rooms a simple message is not that hard to do, phone numbers and emails are for sure saved in your systems, having someone get inside the rooms in the absence of the guests plus not being notified beforehand is extremely unacceptable. We hope to be the last guests of your hotel to encounter such a bad experience, no one would want their vacation turn into a stressful one.

Nice hotel/flat with very friendly staff. Cool infinity pool with a decent enough gym. Only issue was in the surrounding area, there are not many places to get good food and Cebu on the whole felt a bit too similar to Manilla - we ordered takeout one of the nights and ate at another place a different time which we had to Grab to.

Great value for room size and furnishings. Staff are amazingly nice and helpful. Felt very welcomed here. Had some issues with the TV, but that's not the reason for the stay. Convenient access to a supermarket in the basement. Would recommend for stays more that 3 days.

Stayed here with a friend on our trip to The Philippines in an Executive Twin room. The staff were friendly and accommodating. There was the Abaca Bakery & Cafe downstairs which was nice, along with a convenience store, supermarket and a fast-food chicken place. There was a small gym and pool which we used. Apart from that I don’t think there was terribly much to do around the hotel but it had good facilities. We spent most of our time having dinner at the mall which was a 15 minute drive away as we weren’t really sure where to go for dinner in the area. We didn’t have a rate that included breakfast, but if you do they include it at the Abaca Bakery & Cafe. We paid for one of the mornings and had the buffet - was okay, nothing to rave about. Felt the food was all a bit dry (but that’s not really a reflection on the hotel)

Great location, polite staffs and the room is in immaculate condition. I had an enjoyable stay in Citadines Cebu City and was impressed by the breakfast buffet spread offered here. The staffs were friendly and promptly rendered assistance when asked. Will highly recommend this hotel!

Stayed here for my 6 days quarantine. Not too bad. The room was standard 1 bedroom. My only complain was the sink had an awful smell every-time I’m washing the plates on the sink. Also for quarantine stay I would recommend to provide basic stuff like salt and pepper. Also make sure that you have cash. If you wanna order in a restaurant the hotel is not connected to them so you can’t charge it to your room. For me this is very basic hotel. F

Best rooms in Cebu City! Being an apartment hotel, the rooms at Citadines are not the typical hotel rooms. Looking past the clear advantages of a studio to a typical hotel room, I can still say that Citadines has THE best rooms among hotels in Cebu City...for now. Booking was an absolute breeze. Since this was an unexpected staycation, I reserved the room over the phone with the most helpful representative. We came in early at 12 noon and were greeted by THE most courteous and helpful security personnel at the groundfloor lobby (all their security personnel were warm and helpful). The actual lobby (at the 9th floor) was small, had enough guest seating (older photos show more than what were available that time) and was well lit. The warm wooden theme was well disrupted with splashes of vibrant blues and oranges which was quite refreshing to the eyes. Since we ce earlier than the usual check-in time, I expected a delay in getting our room keys however, I was surprised that it only took a few minutes. I was pleasantly surprised that we got a room on the topmost floor. I was even more ecstatic when it was facing the skyline. I always appreciate it when the staff make my special requests happen. When I viewed pictures of their rooms online, they always looked cramped but I was absolutely wrong as the Studio with twin beds that we got felt absolutely spacious. The beds were smaller than your usual twin beds but the lounge sofa tuck in the middle and the two large extra pillows made up for it. The TV was huge (bigger than most hotels) and they had so much storage space. Their closet smelled really nice too. Since it's a studio, the ref was bigger than usual and you had everything you need for a basic kitchen. When I say everything, I mean everything. From serving plates, a chopping board and even your own rice cooker. The only downside was there was only one set of utensils The bathroom was spotless and they had their body wash and shampoo in big pumps so you dont have the usual is-my-amenity-kit-gonna-last dilemma. They all smelled great too! Everything inside the room were laid out so well that space was not an issue. You can practically fit 4 people inside their studio and it wouldn't feel cramped. Everything inside the room was well kept. No signs of wear and tear and everything was just spotless. It very was comfortable. Too comfortable that I didn't want to leave my room and I just wanted to stay inside even though there was a good-sized pool overlooking the skyline. Overall, Citadines killed my expectations and set the bar really high. The warm service and excellent rooms won me over.

The room is fine and clean. The staf are kind and do good service. But then it comes to the food. It is bad really bad. Very small servings, and you cant choose your food. I tried to find out to order from the only 2 foodstores, that you can order from while you are in quarenteen. One store only has chicken on menu. The 2 store for me it is not good enough. But I was lucky, hotelstaf buy for me groceries. So advice bring your own food if you are in quarenteen.

Stayed here 10 nights for my quarantine on arrival and the 1 bedroom suite was excellent. Internet was reliable enough to get work done. The views were incredible. Considering I couldn't leave the room for 10 days, it was a very comfortable spot. I look forward to staying here again in the future under more relaxed circumstances!

Don't judge an apartment hotel by its design. This apartment hotel is something to be very proud of, unless you can't afford to book an expensive hotel in Cebu. I even took a photo of myself there the day before Cebu headed to MECQ from August 1 to September 15.

This hotel is worth it, very nice, clean, got all the things you need away from your own personal house, highly recommend this place, and the breakfast was definitely worth it too, and if it helps, they got a laundry room too, so you'll definitely want to take the time to do that when you get free time. It's walking distance to a few restaurants, and the view in the pool was amazing, I'd definitely would comeback to this hotel again.

THIEFS!!! Under no circumstances stay at this property. They are thieves. They will deny your booking then refuse to offer a refund. No matter the circumstances they will cheat you. Please stay away , they are taking advantage of people during this pandemic... AWFUL!!! SHAME ON THEM!!! PLEASE HONOR THE REFUND AND RETURN OUR MONEY! Thief.... if the refund processes, we will update and modify this review. Such a shame... I hope the management of this property changes their policy

Went to Citadines Cebu city for work travel -- first time in this hotel and was pleasantly surprised and satisfied. Admittedly, we have tried staying at more upscale hotels in Cebu city, and yet really enjoyed our stay here more. 1. Room is modern and spacious - furnishing is more contemporary and design choices provide a homey feel. I stayed at the single room and yet got amenities that would be suites in other hotels - like a full-sized ref, cooking appliances, a microwave, cooking implements, and dishwashing liquid/sponge. They even have a small water jug in your room, so you no longer have to lament the free water in plastic bottles. Particularly, I got a PWD friendly room, more inclusive for persons on wheel chairs -- an extra lower peep hole, assistive railings in the bathroom, a slope to the shower area, and an accessible bathroom sink. The curtains are black out, working area is comfy, and the closet is spacious and has lighting. Wifi in the room was fast and I was able to play Genshin with no lags, even with the smart tv wirelessly connected. I had an issue with the electric turning on and off and calling the front desk they helped out. 2. Service - Yeah, i had an issue with my power in the room on the first night, i immediately called front desk but was not taken seriously by the male staff, saying I could be switching it. That was very unpleasant but as I was already too tired and had to work, I just slept through it. This is especially unnerving since I was alone and I was unsure if someone would enter my room in the end of the hallway. Getting back from work the next day, it happened again so I called reception, luckily the lady who assisted me took my concern seriously and sent maintenance to check. The maintenance inspected and the keycard slot for power was defective and replaced it on the spot. The maintenance staff was respectful and stayed by the door as I watched them repair. They showed me the faulty device and was sure the issue wont happen again. So i was happy with that, my electric worries ended and the room got colder from the aircon not tripping. Staff was generally attentive and polite to guests. 3. Amenities - tried the pool and my colleague tried the gym area, which were beside each other. These were okay for a quick morning workout. Towels were available in the pool area. Pool area was more busy at night with guests doing night swims. I liked the laundry room -- it was 300 pesos per run (7kg max, wash and dry), my colleague and I shared and was very happy with the area, we chatted a bit waited for the washing cycle, when it was time to dry, we went down for breakfast and came back to our dry and warm laundry. Staff noticed we were using the laundry room and turned on airconditioning for us. 4. Food - buffet breakfast was with Abaca Baking Company, a reputable food establishment in the city. Very impressed with the food, especially with the baked goods and deserts. They offer plastic gloved and alcohol to ensure hygiene in the buffet area. Really liked the breakfasts here. The area around the hotel has some really good and not that pricey restaurants. Of course, the robinsons supermarket in the basement could help you stay in and cook if you want. There are also small bars around if youre feeling the need for libations. 5. Transpo and location - airport taxi was unfamiliar with citadines but more familiar with the area "baseline center" where the hotel was in. There's a taxi line in front of the hotel, which is very convenient. Walking a bit would also lead you to national bookstore for your work needs. Over all, though there was a small bump at first, this was a great stay for me and will go back if I can. :)

Rooms on their own was good. Some rooms aren't provided with good airconditioning units thus the -1 star. Every room has its own refrigerator, electric stove, tv, ironing board and iron. Location is also perfect because of the existing supermarket below the hotel.

Very very solid hotel that I would recommend if staying in Cebu. Prime location and convenient. Has a supermarket and 24/7 convenience store underneath it. Room is like a serviced apartment with everything you need to cook. Very quick with housekeeping services. Loses points with the breakfast buffet which was average, also the design of the shower tends to leak water onto the toilet floor which is awkward.

Even if we don't have a reservation we were still able to check in at that time last march 23, 2022. Thank you to those who assisted us at the front desk very accommodating excellent customer service. Clean amenities, mountain view, clean comfort room and comfortable beds. See you next year citadine cebu city.

The receptionist was extremely courteous during the check-in process. I was called shortly after arriving in my room and was asked, if I approved of the accommodations and should I have any requests, do not hesitate to ask for assistance. I did make a couple of requests and service was rendered promptly. My hotel room iwas the equivalent of a studio apartment. It contained a full size refrigerator, a microwave and a small kitchen stocked with utensils and a couple of pots. The room number coincided with the month and day of my birthday . . . good karma there. There are restaurants in the complex and a short walk away. Being there, I was also close to cultural and historical sites. Transportation is very accessible. There is usually a taxi 🚕 parked at the base of the stairs in front of the hotel 🏨.

I would honestly give this place 4.5 stars. Good central location. Nice new and clean. Good customer service. Strong internet I can have international video meetings on. Quick Cab access. Great breakfast at an adjacent covered restaurant and access to basic convenience stores in an attached covered pavilion to the building. Only 3 negatives 1. Minor - layout issues. With doors opening in awkward places / barely clearing obstacles. 2. Minor - The shower floors are not sloped to drain quickly like the US does. 3. Major - Had good hot water pressure on the 14th and 17th floors but not the 20th. They said it was piping in my room and promptly moved me to a new one. I'm not 100 percent convinced it's not a general water pressure issue for the upper floors. I do plan to return and request a lower floor.

It’s new apartment type hotel. Please note that there is no room cleaning service unless you request for it. It’s a clean hygienic property The BF has been served at the restaurant located outside of the hotel at the ground floor. Quality and items are excellent and service are at high quality

This place. Wow after we stay some days here we did try food from around there. They have good food in small resturant as is in same building. And in lower ground it is a small supermarket. Pool was really nice and clean and with a amazing view

Booked the Executive Twin room 1912 a quiet room which we liked. They observe strict Covid protocols which gives you the sense of security that everything is clean and safe. Room is specious with a fully functional kitchen which you expect from a serviced residence. Breakfast buffet in Abaca restaurant at the bottom is extensive and delicious. We enjoyed it so much we had lunch there too ala cart and it was also superb. Substantial portions. There is a Robinsons supermarket at the basement, Sunburst and a Korean restaurant in the ground floor of the building. This property is 3 stars but with 4 Star amenities and service. This is now my go-to hotel in Cebu City.

This is a lovely hotel to stay in if you are in Cebu City. The rooms are clean and spacious. The staff at the hotel are all extremely approachable and friendly. The pool and gym were well-maintained and easy to access. The breakfast buffet was fantastic and had a wide range of foods. Robinson’s supermarket is just downstairs and is very convenient.

Super clean and modern. Loved the washing machine/dryer combo inside our 1bedroom executive suite. They didn't have the 2bedroom available so they gave us a studio right next to our 1 bedroom suite joined by a hallway door which you can close off. We booked directly with them so the rate is a great value (I believe it costs us about $700 for 5 nights for 2 rooms!!!) The only thing I wish they have is a king size bed. I don't think they have any king. Great breakfast, location, wifi, staff. Truly exceeded my expectations. Thank you. By the way, I appreciate the unlimited supply of drinking water.
