Disappointing...I'm usually good about reading reviews in detail. My bad! What Hampton doesn't have a fridge OR a microwave ? Really, really? 95% of the guests are on road trips and a fridge (at least) is a given. Also disappointing are the thins walls and perfumy cleaner(?) used in the rooms. Southern Utah...lovely area...just need to stay at a place other than the usual, reliable Hampton Inn. On the way out, we reported shower curtain rod on the verge of falling off wall. Mystery goo on bathroom floor; damp spot on carpet and smoke smell in bathroom. Kids at the front desk were nice and understanding, but not helpful as problems 'beyond their control' and this was 'small town Hampton'. Breakfast area too small for any kind of social distancing. And door to kitchen prep left wide open. What a mess. Conditions too sorry to warrant 'big city' room rate. It's been 20 years since we invoked the 100% guarantee. Understand Hampton no longer has it. They should.

Employee who was working at check in said my room number out loud, which goes against Hilton training and very much jeopardized my safety. Other employees were dismissive at best. Breakfast was fantastic and the room was nice. Employees were just lacking severely

Rough. Lower cost, but it is past time for a remodel all around. Nice friendly staff, but very dated. If you stay here, there are refrigerator and maybe microwaves for loan from the front desk. Bring some background noise for sleeping, as the noise from the hall and neighbors on your floor and above & below makes you look sometimes to see if they are in the room talking to you and we were there on a weekend that aligned with spring break and a birthday party so it was crazy the first night. I have certainly stayed in dated and/or less kept hotels but not one in the Hilton chain.

Overall our stay was poor. There was a visible layer of dirt and something oily on the table, hair all over the bathroom floor and old food left in the fridge from the previous guest. When we told the front desk about the condition of our room, we were given a racially insensitive excuse about the cleaning staff. As compensation we were offered $15 off of the price and two bottled waters. We will not be staying here again, especially given the price for such poor quality.

Nobody at the desk, waited 10 minutes for someone to show up. No sign outside, drove past it a couple times. Without a map program you couldn't find it. Nice room. Good bed/all in good repair. If you can find it, staying here is a good choice.

Probably the worst Hampton Inn I have ever stayed in and I travel 45 weeks a year for work. Hair all over the bathroom and floors. I was in a king bedroom at the end of the hall so only had one wall of neighbors but you could hear everyone from all sides. Up, down, left, right. Sometimes it sounded like they were in your room! There is no way to have the fan run constantly. So find some white noise on YouTube if you want a decent sleep! The back door never shuts completely into the parking lot. Not safe! The couch and chair in my room look like theyā€™ve were found from a dumpster dive. Fabric ripped everywhere and random stains. I refused to put anything on the floor, couch or chair. Crazy how all these items were mentioned in reviews from 10 months ago and they havenā€™t fixed anything. Peloton is great tho! Also to the owner who replies the same canned response to all the bad reviews. Why donā€™t you fix the issues? Donā€™t bother replying. Was suppose to be here for 4 weeks for work but switched to the Holiday Inn after 1 week and I suggest to any reader that they do the same.

I have stayed at this property many times. I stay there because I am loyal to Hilton Honors. The rooms are very small and cramped. The breakfast is nice with good variety. The fitness center is small and lacking good equipment. The elliptical sounded like it was about to fall apart. The location is very good.

I have been staying at Hilton properties for over three decades. This will be the lowest rating I have ever given one of their hotels. First the positives: the location is great in Cedar City Utah. The staff was very friendly helpful and professional and treated me very well. Now the not so good: The room was completely outdated worn and old. I was in a king suite which was very spacious. However the chair and the couch in the room both had had their seating cushions replaced which did not match the original chair and couch, and moreover the cushions had fabric torn off of them. The television was very small, the pillows were flat, and the mattress was soft and worn out. The tub / shower in the bathroom was very worn on the base of the tub, with a completely worn out base where the non-slip grids would be. It was very slippery to take a shower in this arrangement and I almost slipped several times. I appreciate the free breakfast that is offered here. However it was the same thing everyday. I was here for 6 days, and every day the main hot course for breakfast was either a cheese omelette or a southwest omelette, and the cheese omelets were consistently burned on one side. The breakfast meat only changed one time during my stay. The rear entrance to the hotel which is supposed to automatically lock when the door closes and you are supposed to have to use your room key to go in the door, but that entrance door never closed completely and was always ajar so anyone could walk into the hotel at any time through that door. It left me wondering why the owner of this hotel had not reinvested any of his capital into upgrading the furniture mattresses bathrooms etc. I inquired about this at the front desk and I was told that they are going to be building a brand new Hampton Inn approximately a mile from this current location. I don't know how long the owner has considered this but I guess that is a partial explanation for the lack of investment and upgrades for this old hotel. I for one will not return until the new hotel is complete.

Ohh, it was what I would expect from a Days Inn or Super 8, not a Hampton, that given, the stay was less than what I usually pay at a Hampton. The staff was courteous and helpful. The breakfast was the usual fare and the atmosphere was cozy. While eating I meet very nice guests and we had engaging conversations. The place was clean ā€¦ very important to me. The negative: rooms small and noise insulation was subpar for a Hampton. No microwave or fridge in rooms. TV was a 35ā€. The laundry had one washer and dryer. The climate in the room was either too hot or too cold. The pillows and beds were subpar for a Hampton. Was the lower price adequate to compensate for the deficiencies? My wife says no. As for me the coffee was good and they had Apple Jacks cereal for breakfast so Iā€™m good.

Needed room for 5, Hilton app advertised two bed room slept 5. Called hotel directly to verify couch pull out in room since pictures and sleeping number didn't match. Was told over phone that there was a pull out couch in room along with two beds and they did sleep 5. WRONG!! These rooms were small. They do not sleep 5 but offered a rollaway bed which left a very uncomfortable sleeping situation for our son and even less amount of space in already small rooms. Room was dated as a long with hotel. Very muggy when showering as bathrooms did not vent well. Room was musty smelling. Very disappointed. As a gold member, I have stayed in many of Hilton's hotels and this was one that I was not impressed with at all. Breakfast area was small and lacked a lot of seating area. Crowded and not very inviting. Probably won't be staying here again unless this hotel goes thru a a major update.

The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and well maintained. Grounds also were clean and tidy. Free breakfast was good with plenty of variety. My tiniest complaint would be the room size.

Walls are so thin I can hear the tvs, cell phones, and conversations around me. Ac will not stay running I woke up four times last night trying to get it on and sweating. Would not stay here again (from someone who averages 110 hotel nights a year)

The carpet was damp. The bed was hard as a rock. The breakfast was subpar. I wondered if it was a Hilton! This Hamton Inn was not as high quality as compared to other Hampton Inns in other states. We decided to cut our visit short and stayed for 1 night.

The worst part for me is that it's a place to stop for a night on the way to or from somewhere else for business. It was a one night stay, but I checked in on the app and picked up my key card from the friendly front desk staff in short order. The hotel is clean. The room was spacious and comfortable with two queen beds and a very functional workspace. There was no fridge or microwave, but I typically just use the fridge to keep water cold. I only need a microwave for longer stays. The breakfast area was also very clean. Cheese omelets and sausage links were good. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and I'm sure there are activities if you're planning a longer visit. This may become my usual stopover.

Hampton Inns have become inconsistent. Many are good, many are not-so-good. This one is of the later. Good things: AC with fan that works, towels, shower, sink, front desk personnel. Bad things: plugged bathtub, toilet seat that comes off its mounting (even after a "repair"), beds showing their age with tilts and wear, TV from the 90s, breakfast is same terrible things (at all Hampton Inn locations -- needs a corporate upgrade), and of the four exterior doors, only two worked from the outside. Not my favorite Hampton Inn location.

Worst bed ever! We picked this hotel because of our Hilton Honors status. The rooms are very dated, no fridge or microwave, old furinishings. All of that is what it is. The one star rating is because of the bed. Worst bed Iā€™ve slept on in so long I canā€™t even remember the last time I slept on a mattress this bad.

We are Hilton Honors members who have stayed at MANY Hampton Inns in multiple states. Hilton should be ashamed of this property. It is the worst Hampton Inn in which we have ever stayed. It is dated; the rooms are small; there was neither a fridge nor a microwave in our room. We were on a cross-country trip and had counted on having a small fridge in the room. This was the first Hampton Inn we've encountered that didn't have a fridge. I thought they were standard but now know to confirm that before booking. While the location is convenient to the interstate, the signage is poor, making it a bit difficult to locate. There was only one operational luggage cart. The second one was only a half cart at best; it was missing the top part, rendering it to be only a flat-bed cart. The staff we encountered were all courteous, but this property is in desperate need of attention by the powers that be.

This is one of the better hotels I've stayed in so far in Cedar City. To start the front desk woman was super inviting, and accommodating. She was very attentive, and actually seemed interested in the customers. Not just for her job, but genuinely. The ambiance of the lobby was very inviting, and extremely clean and taken care of. My room was a single queen bed room, and once again it was very clean. It is well worth the money to stay here if you can.

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Our room was very clean, especially the carpet. The beds were not as comfy as the ones at home, but everything smelled so clean! Our daughter is super allergic to animal fur, and I was worried about staying in a pet friendly hotel, but there were no issues. The air conditioning worked well, and we were comfy. The bathroom needs to be updated. Our favorite part was the free cookies at around 5 every day. They were amazing. The hotel was a little pricey. Overall, it was an older hotel, but clean.

The staff was professional and friendly. Check in was really quick. The room was very clean and fresh-one of the cleanest rooms Iā€™ve stayed in. I was especially impressed by how spotless the bathroom was -the bathroom floors actually looked like they had been waxed! The only negatives were #1-the furniture and decor is outdated-and #2-there was no fridge or microwave. Also the shower was very old looking-definitely needs to be replaced. I would stay here again in the future.

Stopped here for a quick overnight on a business trip. It was cheap, so I didnā€™t expect a lot of frills, but a basic blackout curtain I thought was pretty standard. Room is so bright trying to sleep! Also, no fridge or microwave, something else thatā€™s pretty standard. Walls are paper thin and you can hear every noise your neighbor makes, including the guy to the right of me with the cough, and the person to my left thatā€™s been using their šŸ¤želectric toothbrushšŸ¤ž for a looooonnnnnnng time nowā€¦ šŸ˜± The lady at the front desk was absolutely wonderful though! Picture was taken at 11:00pm.

01282022: This is a good hotel. A good value if you can get in a king suite for $100 or less. I give it four stars because the king suite had a basket in it with ALL of the mens toiletries that you normally need on a trip, but the place is older and needs new high rise toilets with self closing lids, the TV needs to be much larger for that size of a room, and the carpet needs to be replaced. The elevator definitely needs to be upgraded. The staff is very friendly and helpful and there is plenty of parking.

This hotel is old and dated. We had a problem with our room not being ready at 11:00pm when we arrived but we were eventually given another room. A dog across the hall barked all night and the next morning. Deanna was extremely kind and helpful that day and got us into another room.

Dirtiest rooms I've seen in a long time. Both rooms I rented had these problems: showers had "personal" hair, toilets had brown build up inside, sinks also had build up and yuck inside. Not vacuumed, swept or mopped. Neither room had been cleaned for quite awhile. I truly think they came in to change towels and sheets then left. The breakfast was good and the two women working breakfast were very kind.

We are frequent Hampton inn visitors. This was the worst we have ever stayed at. When we checked in late at night after a long day of travel, we were told the water had to be shut off due to a sprinkler issue. The staff did handle the issue well with all hands on deck, including firefighters working on the water. However, we were ready to collapse into bed after driving all day and instead had to go to a gas station to use the bathroom and brush our teeth. Once the water was turned back on, we discovered the shower sliding door was jammed and the fan in the bathroom was extremely loud to the point that it woke me up from my sleep when my significant other turned it on. The sound insulation was poor and we could hear the other guests from our room. Our room did not have a fridge or microwave, something we had not encountered at a Hampton before. Our room was also very small. With only two people and a few suitcases I would not have expected to feel so cramped. We checked out after 1 night, canceling the remainder of our stay. Staff was courteous but the room was terrible.

As a frequent traveler, this hotel is at the top of the list of my favorites simply because of the staff... they are AWESOME, and always make me feel welcome and at home. Hotel is clean and comfortable, and the staff cares about you and your stay. Highly recommend choosing this Hampton Inn when in the area. Location is in the middle of some great places to eat, gas-up, etc... all within short distance, in addition to being pretty quiet. Complimentary breakfast is best in area!

The person in charge needs better customer relations experience. If you come with a group and they are offered a rate everyone should have the same rate $20 more or $20 less. A group is a group otherwise I would have rated a 5 ā. Everyone else I encountered was 5 star āāœØ

Right off the highway with plenty of spots to grab a bite. Perfect for the pass thru travelers and pet friendly. Shout out to Rhonda who worked the desk. Got us in super fast and booked a future night for the way back home.

First, our room keys would stop working every night- so we would have to go back downstairs to get new keys each night (after we were already tired from hiking). Next, our sliding shower door was ā€œstuckā€ and it was really hard to open. The next morning, we requested for a work order to be placed to have it fixed. For the remainder of our stay, it was never fixed. Next, on one of the mornings, there was almost no hot breakfast available and we were in a rush, so it was really inconvenient. The staff waited until the food was completely gone to START warming up more, and we had to wait about 10 mins for any hot food. Finally, upon arrival, we were offered housekeeping services daily, and we accepted, but housekeeping didnā€™t come at all. I understand housekeeping is ā€œper request,ā€ but we were offered it by a staff member and it never happened. This was probably the worst Hampton Inn Iā€™ve ever stayed at, and it is way below a ā€œHiltonā€ standard. If I were you, Iā€™d recommend a Hilton Garden Inn.

A little pricey given how dated the rooms are but clean. The breakfast was great and staff was super friendly.

The hotel was great, clean and comfortable. Only downer is that they now allow pets. Huge bummer, especially if you get stuck next to someone with a yappy dog. Not a fan of pet permitable hotels. Hilton might lose me on this one as a customer.

I was fairly dissatisfied with my stay here. I booked two different hotels during my stay in Utah. Both Hilton hotels as it was the first time I used my Hilton honors points after becoming a member. The first hotel was amazing. (Salt lake city) My stay at this hotel was far worse. I checked in via the app online and upon walking in I was given a room key to a room that I did not select when I checked in. Upon opening the door I realized I was in someone elseā€™s room! Luckily I donā€™t think the guests were there but how could a mistake like that happen! I proceeded back to the front desk where I was then given the right key to the right room after I mentioned I should have been in room 317. My next issue was the key itself. Other than the first use moments after receiving the keyā€¦ I had to go back down to get the key reprogrammed every single day after as it wouldnā€™t open my room door! To spend the day hiking Zion just to come back to the third floor realizing my key doesnā€™t work was one of the worst parts of our otherwise amazing trip. They never gave me a new key. Always reprogramming the same one. Last was room service. I wasnā€™t aware room cleaning was only available upon request. I didnā€™t see signs anywhere indicating that. Keep in mind Wyndham and other hotels that do this have a flyer in the room stating they donā€™t clean rooms. This hotel did not and I was surprised to see my room was not cleaned on the one day I left the do not disturb sign off. The hotel itself is dated. This normally isnā€™t a problem based on the price but with the other issues I saw Iā€™m reconsidering keeping my Hilton honors card.

Excellent location and a very friendly staff. A bit worn around the edges, as some have noted (a cracked tile, a crack in the bath), but it was clean, comfortable, and no "funky hotel" smell. As with many places, housekeeping appeared to be a challenge to have enough folks to service it like in "the old days" (but we're in a whole new dynamic now with on-demand housekeeping). Even so, any request was promptly addressed. So the few rough edges were more than compensated for. Did need some attention to the outside door locks, which worked a little erratically, but the neighborhood was clean and inviting and it wasn't an issue. Great stay!

Room was nice, as was the whole hotel. Good breakfast, not just cereal, but also served eggs, sausage, & etc. 24hr coffee. Only detractions for my room was no mini-fridge, and no microwave. You could pay for better wi-fi, cabled internet plug in room had no connection.

Sally went far beyond to satisfy our situation. She and the Hilton honors agent I first spoke with should be commended on outstanding. OUTSTANDING customer service! Wendy Shark /addiction Treatment/primary Care Mental Health and Psychiatry. You weā€™re both phenomenal assets to the company. 11/15/2021

Nice hotel in cedar city. It was clean, good service, hot water & reasonably comfortable bed. Itā€™s not the 4 seasons or Waldorf - itā€™s a Hampton inn in a small Utah town, so for that I think it was a decent hotel where I will stay again. I also appreciated that coffee and breakfast were laid out before 6 since we had a early flight to catch.
