I had the worst experience with Rent Cedar Valley. They took 2 month to fix my dishwasher. They only have 1 maintenance person for 3 or more of their buildings. They increased my rent by $150 and was not reachable when I wanted to talk to them about it. Overall, you should look elsewhere for rentals. Taylor is the property manager of Grand Crossing and she will not give your security deposit back to you.

The house that my daughter and roommates rented from this company was terrible. There are rats and/or squirrels in the walls and basement that they were notified of right after they moved in last summer. The company has refused to handle the situation nor have they given a discount as compensation. Now the furnace runs constantly with the thermostat set at 60 (in February) and they are claiming it's not their problem. The water doesn't get hot in most of the house. The bill however, was over $700 for the bottom half of the house. Unacceptable!! This horrible company won't take responsibility for anything. When the property was shown to the girls, the company claimed the utilities were stable and 'slightly' more in the winter. The company is a fraud. They don't handle their property well and I would never recommend them and send stern warning to anyone considering renting from them. They take advantage of young college students!!

I would highly suggest NOT renting property through this company!!! They are (trying) to take advantage of college students by charging for damages that are very clearly on them. Every response they give is very immature and really I wonder how they sleep at night with the way they treat their tenants. Unless you like living with all kinds of wildlife IN your house and standing water in your basement I would definitely not choose rent cedar valley. There are SO many better places I promise.

Worst place to rent from! No communication from them, no answering of their phones, return calls, emails- nothing! The only time they reach out is when you owe them, or when you threaten to notify someone about a disability access issue, then they return the call within 48 hours. Bad property management- they hire tweekers to clean their properties, and it’s obvious! Many times trash would be completely over flowing, floors would be sticky/dirty in common areas such as an elevator or lobby, dogs would bark all day/night with no resolution. Worst experience I’ve ever had from a rental company! Hate to even give 1 star, but that’s the lowest I could give. Steer clear if you value communication from your rental company. Also- confirmed you won’t get your security deposit back, and you’ll never be able to reach anyone about the issue, I don’t know how this company stays in business- how they haven’t been sued! They make you pay them through account transactions- so you can’t even dispute any issue with your bank, you’re literally SOL and it’s up to them if you get your money back/issues resolved. Seriously worst most unprofessional rental company I’ve ever dealt with- and I travel/contract work for a living- so I know how companies are supposed to be.

if you need something on the weekends or after hours good luck. got locked out of my apartment and had to pay for a locksmith because no one would answer their phone.

Incompetent management. Lived in the park Ave lofts for 4 months. Communication is non existent until the 3rd email gets sent about the same thing. They failed to send my refund and pro rated rent in the legally allowed time frame. Then due to their own internal mis management only refunded 1/3 of what I was owed. I’ve worked all over the country living in various apartments over several years and this is by far one of the most incompetent management teams I’ve dealt with.

I love living in a unique and historic place. The lofts at Masonic temple are the perfect blend of modern minimalism. Rent Cedar Valley does a great job working with their tenants and they give their tenants plenty of accommodations on and off of their properties. Ms. Renae is an awesome contact as well!

As a current tenant, I cannot say enough GREAT THINGS about Rent Cedar Valley!! Andrea, my primary contact has even left her home on a Saturday night when there was an emergency… to make sure everything was right before my children and I went to bed! Once the water heater broke, these things happen, she had a plumber over here within minutes! Ryan Ralston, Ralston Plumbing, is amazing! Highly recommend :) Rent Cedar Valley is the ONLY property management I would ever live with again. Hands down amazing service and BEAUTIFUL town homes ❤️
