Amazing place . I came with my friend and worked from here for a few hours . Had drinks and brunch . The food is delicious so the drinks . Highly recommended for chilling vibes .

This place has a great atmosphere, good and quick service and tasty food! The whole place is full of writings from people all around the world and there is a cute fireplace as well. We ordered the Spicy Rice Bowl and Honey Flavored Crispy Chicken and Rice and they were both great! We also had the Banana Roti which I don't recommend, it was pretty chewy and tough. Other than that, I definitely recommend dining there!

Food was very tasty and a bit different than usual, really recommended the massala koththu. The mango juice wasn’t very good, lacking flavor and the shake looked better than it tasted. The staff are nice and cheerful. Be aware the price is a lot higher than other places and they charge 10% service charge on top.

The staff are super friendly. There's plenty of seating in and outside. We tried the cheese masala which was quite heavy and very cheesy, and the honey chicken which was delicious. They didn't have any cocktails despite the menu but their milkshakes is topped with a huge scoop of ice cream which was tasty.

Mixed Experience with Room for Improvement The food had an okay taste, but the saltiness was a drawback. The noise level was high, requiring elevated voices for conversation. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the restroom left much to be desired. On a positive note, the cocktails were a highlight – well-prepared and enjoyable. Overall, a rating of 6/10 reflects the mixed experience. Addressing seasoning, noise control, and restroom hygiene could elevate the overall dining experience.

We have visited the place with our big family (12 people) and really enjoyed the dinner. The food was very tasty (little bit different then usual Sri Lankan food). The staff was really nice and helpful. We waited longer for the drinks, but the chef said that it’s their 3rd day, they were closed for 2 years. So it was acceptable.

We went there for lunch. This cafe has a unique vibe. Has both indoor and outdoor seating. We chose the outdoors because it was a cozy and chilling atmosphere. Staff is amazing. Friendly and helpful. They described all the dishes in the menu including their spice levels. Usually the dishes here are not very spicy. Therefore we chose a biriyani which was a bit spicier than others. That was awesome. You should try the milkshakes here. We had a strawberry milkshake which was amazing. Our experience at this restaurant was great.

We can't believe how amazing this place is. We were very cold and the first thing they offered us, was to sit infront of the fireplace and rest. And then when we order the food it was unbelievable good (best chicken we've eaten ever). They are very kind and caring. 100000% recomended!!!

We had an amazing experience at Themparadu! Staff were incredibly friendly and the Honey Chicken with Garlic Rice was unforgettable. Loved the unique atmosphere with a wood oven, billiard tables, and jamming area. Highly recommend!

This was a favorite visit in Nuwara Eliya -- went here twice in three days. The place isn't just a restaurant; it offers friendly service, great food, and a place to hang out and catch-up. They've got doodles on every wall done by customers -- some of them quite creative. We didn't venture that far though. Despite catering to many tourists, it's not overly expensive, except for a few items which I thought could be priced lower. The portions were very satisfying, and the flavors were excellent. We tried some dishes they recommended for the local palate (The honey glazed crispy chicken with garlic rice, and the beef masala kottu), but I also ventured to try one they suggest against (the beefy milky), and it turned out to be just as impeccable. Would definitely go back each time we visit Nuwara Eliya.

I dined out there with my wife yesterday. And where to begin with? I'll start from parking and end with food. Don't expect for a big parking area as there's none. You would have to park beside the road prior to getting into this marvellous hideout. The place is not somewhere you would expect hundreds of people to throw up a party. But it is very spacious and can easily serve about 50 to 60 people at peak times. The place has a cool calming vibe about it. There's always trance music playing in the background. And there's a hearth too. We went there not at the busiest of times I guess. The place would have been packed with foreigners prior to covid era. The service is top notch. Everybody working there is very attentive and very concerned about the service their customers recieve. The owner Mr. Chala is a great guy who would take his time just to have a chat with you. And the foreigners might find this very useful as they can get to know of the country better. They serve a variety of beers and cocktails and smoking is allowed in the bar I guess. But we didn't have the chance to try out their cocktails. We tried their chicken cheese masala and honey garlic rice with crispy chicken. It would be an insult if I don't mention how good the food was. Each plate had tons of spices infused to them at the correct doses. You could sense each spice. It was just marvellous to say the least. And then came the surprise. We ordered two milkshakes. One chocolate and one strawberry without having an idea how massive they would be. One milkshake easily could serve two people. But we couldn't just accept the defeat because the two milkshakes packed some intense flavours, so we somehow ended up just about finishing them. So I guess this lengthy review itself would speak volumes how satisfied we were with the service and the atmosphere of Themparadu. And I wouldn't hesitate a bit to recommend this place to someone.

Loved this place. The staff were very friendly and attentive - to a level I haven’t experienced in Sri Lanka. The decor and the vibe is very hip and international - we loved it as visitors. The food was good and great portions as well. Kudos to the team of guys who run it, making us proud!

This place has reopened after covid , But the vibe and pizza’s are to die for . Very amazing vibe . And most courteous and kind staff. The music is so good it will definitely make your evening awesome.make sure you visit this place and try their pizzas. Must visit whenever you are in nuvara eliya . Keshan , izrath,trevin,asitha were just so amazing with service and recommendations. Lastly they also have one very friendly doggy named boi . Supery duppancute .

Very tasty food, all of them. We had spicy rice bowl. And seafood “dolphin” kottu with coconut and a lot of spices. They could reduce the level of “spicy” 🌶️ at your request. And another kind of chicken rice with vegetables. A little bit more expensive then street food in nearby but I think more tasty. Friendly guests. English speaking.

Our favourite restaurant in Sri Lanka from our trip! Absolutely delicious, fun and innovative food with a great, welcoming community vibe and super friendly service. The owner set this up in his old house after losing his original shop front because of COVID. Try the chocolate milkshake - it’s insane! Worth the trip to Nuwara Eliya just for this!

Wow, great traditional Sri Lankan food but with a twist. We enjoyed our meal very much in a nice vibey pub, good lighting, music and helpfull staff. Great to see these young entrepreneurs take on the scene, keep up the good work. If you are in Nuwara Eliya you must come and have dinner here!

The food was great, really colorful types of dishes, mixed Sri Lankan and western I personally had the Poke bowl and I loved the fresh veggies and the special spices. The service was wonderful and the owner was super kind, and keen to let us try whatever we want and change if we don’t like, although we absolutely loved everything, highly recommended and great music as well

The food is amazing. It is very delicious, generous portions, and of a high quality. Prices are on the higher range for Sri Lanka, but I'd say it is very much justified by what you get. The atmosphere is great. The place has a more chill-backpackers-travellers vibe, instead of the very posh vibe in other high quality places in Nuwara Eliya.

Great people, vibe and food. They are just starting back up after Covid and dealing with shortages (as everyone is here right now)so service was a bit slow. Otherwise 5 stars. Owner took time to show us his entire place (including the snooker loft called “Trout”). We had the dolphin cheese with crab and a mixed curry. Also the massive chocolate milk shake.

We looked for a restaurant while it was heavily raining. The employees at the Themparadu welcomed us with open arms and offered us to dry our cloths at the fire place. We had a very good time there waiting for the end of the rain. Especially the Cheese Kottu was absolutely delicious, it was very different from other meals I’ve tried in Sri Lanka yet. We would definitely recommend this restaurant!

We were looking for a bar with good alcohol in Nuwara eliya and eventually found the best bar in this restaurant. They make the best cocktails I ever tasted and the place has very cool musice and vibes. If you are looking for a place to hang out at night don’t miss it!

Very kind service, who explained us all meals and gave us local fruit to taste. Sri lankas taste different way, you have to try. They also made a fire in a fireplace for us and arrange seat close to the fire.

I had the dolphin cheese chicken and my girlfriend had the poke bowl. My meal was so good that I ordered seconds. Food and drinks are creations of the owners. Young team and very pleasant atmosphere. At the beginning the playlist of the music was a bit chaotic and too loud but after that everything was fine.
