A theft occurred during our stay. The security of the items in the security lockers is non-existent. We put all of our things in the security locker and left to explore the city on foot. When we returned the only other person in our dorm room was frantically looking for his credit card. He thought he had misplaced it, we tried to help him look to no avail. We then got a notification from our bank saying that transactions were trying to be placed on OUR credit card in Nindiri (20 minute way from Granada). The card was the only one in our security locker when we left to explore and we never use it since it is our back up card. So the card never had an opportunity to be compromised otherwise. Having this happen at the exact same time as our only room mate lost his card is screaming theft. We still had the card but someone obviously got the information they needed off of it. Upon inspection of the locker I noticed that it looks secure but it is not actually bolted to the floor and the back Is open to the wall so all a person has to do to access it is lean it away from the wall like you would moving a bookshelf, and easily reach behind. The morning we left, I noticed a bag of mine was pulled between the wall and the security locker so someone had leaned the locker again and tried to get something once more. We contacted our bank, got the transaction canceled, and packed up and left. We did not talk to the staff about this, they were extremely unhelpful with our hostel room mate frantic requests for assistance and we feel this must be staff or regular contractors doing the theft since the hostel had very few guests, no one else in our room, and the security lockers are only compromised with intimate knowledge of their design.

Loved out stay at De Boca En Boca. The hostel has a nice relaxed atmosphere and it's nice to just hang out in the common spaces. It has a small open kitchen to use. It is located really central so it's easy to walk everywhere. The best part about it is the owner Raman. He's really super friendly, welcoming and will help you with any questions or concerns.

Great beautyfull place and cool staff who helped me out the first few days several times. But big differences in the rooms. Had an awesome two night stay here when I inquired two more night from the following day. The receptionist promised me that I could just walk in the next day for a bed in that room she showed me. However, the next day(1pm) it was fully booked and this lady tried to deny the promise. I understand that they were overwhelmed with booking due a big event the next day(Treehouse party) , but don't lie to me. I ended up in a 10 bed dirty hot, noisy room on the street side and without wifi connection for the same price as a 6 dorm or better dorms. It only had 2 private fans for 10 beds.. I am disappointed as she didn't seem to care about. I could go somewhere else but my friends allready staying at this hostel.

This is the best Hostel I've stayed at in Central America. It's located very central in the town of Granada so you can reach everything by foot. The Hostel itself is very beautiful with nice places to hang out and meet people. The kitchen is very well equipped and clean so you really can cook a nice meal. The rooms and bathrooms are pretty nice too, the get cleaned very often so you really feel good at this places. On top of all that very good service they have lots of tours, partys and other program you can visit so it never gets boring. The incredible staff and the volunteers will give you great infos on what to do. I've loved it there, stayed two separate times during my travels there and would definitely stay there again.

Best hostel so far, Really comfortable, really cosy, the staff is so nice, always smiling, do the best to help you. Always have music, but not loud, and super playlists ! I recommend to stay there 1 month at least.

Wonderful hostel. Friendly staff, spotless facilities, plenty to do in the hostel (daily activities) and nearby. Free day membership at gym. Free breakfast. Free fruit punch. No curfew. Fantastic value!! Thoroughly recommend. Thanks for making me feel super welcome. I'll be back :)

Great place that provides everything you can expect from a hostel : activities, nice common areas, large kitchen, fast and good laundry service, breakfast included, lots of games... you will meet people easily. However it gets really quiet at night (everything shuts down at 10pm). The staff is also professional, helpful and friendly. The best hostel we've been to so far !

Nice hostel in a good location in Granada. The hostel organises tours to the volcano to see the lava crater. From our experience it was over priced. It was 22 dollars for the 90 minute tour, but it would be significantly cheaper to get a taxi to the volcano and pay the entrance fee yourself, which we heard was less than 2 dollars each. Pizza night and trivia night were fun in the hostel, would recommend to a friend

Nice staff, they brought an extra fan to the one room where the fans were too far from the beds - hopefully they put more fans closer to the beds in all the rooms. Nice events at the hostel and tours. Great location. Clean kitchen, well stocked with a microwave and toaster too! They have a night security guard who checks your name and bed # on a list before letting you in after 10pm. They let me use the wash basin to handwash clothes. Showers have lots of space and hooks!

The atmosphere is amazing but our room was really bad. People were smoking in front of it and everything blew in our chamber. The rest looks awesome though. Only one room is not great.

Hard to say anything bad about this place, great location, very friendly staff & volunteers, lots of activities to do. Even if they don't have a pool you can swing at one of their parent hostels to dip for free. The room I stayed in was clean including the shower. The vibes were very homie and it's a great place to meet people and chill. The value is definitely worth it & if your planning on going to the treehouse/Jungle Rave party, I recommend this spot to hitch up with a crew. Really satisfied of my stay here, just wished I'd stayed longer

This place is a must when you stay at Granada. The stuff is helpful and nice, there are many maps and bus schedules and they always explain where to go and which bus to take in case you want to travel. The rooms are clean and they come with your own curtains so even in rooms for many people you have your own private space. I also like the activities they have ( e.g. trivia night with clever questions and cool prices.) The location is also on the plus while it is very close to the centre. I would definitely recommend it!

Good location, very central and close to everything. Staff is very helpful and they have literally everything you may need (shuttles, information about the city, laundry, tours). Downside is the triple bunk bed where I hit my knee several times during the night. Everything else was fine

Nice people and cheap beds in the dorms. They offer a lot of tours in the area.

One of my favorite hostels. Great location, nice kitchen, common area with hammocks, the WiFi works pretty well, staff are helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and have lockers with sockets inside for charging your devices. The breakfast is very good and they have drinking water. They offer free coffee in the morning and a welcome cocktail the day you arrive. The hostel gives the possibility to book lots of tours with them and every evening they offer activities (trivia night, salsa night, ...). The rooms do not have air conditioning but have fans which is enough (one per bed). I loved the vibe of the place!

Lovely place, quiet when you want with ample social opportunities. Much more traveler vibe, rather than tourist (we love it), good breakfast, comfortable dorms with fans for each individual bed. Thank you!!

The best hostel I’ve been to in Central America! The vibe and the people are all so lovely and organise different activities such as salsa night, beer pong tournament, game night and the booze cruise. I spend 5 weeks in Granada, because of this wonderful hostel. It’s cheap and has a great location beside the church la Merced (great to go up there for sunset) Left a peace of my heart there❤️

Stayed in a 4 bed dorm. Beds which were not bunks were comfortable and had there own fans. Free small simple breakfast. However, a very heavy presence of very young travelers in there early 20s and what looked like teens. Desk guys were very helpful and knowledgeable about local transportation

The best hostel I've ever been to after 2 and a half months of travelling, incredible experience with amazing staff and a great atmosphere. Cheap drinks from the bar and comfortable rooms. Cheap tours and loads of fun things to do organised every night.

One of the best hostels in Granada. Plenty of tours you can book at the front desk. Pancake and banana breakfast is included, as well as free coffee until 2pm. Common area is perfect for meeting people, as well as your free welcome drink. Plenty of table to relax at, and a few hammocks. The beds each have their own personal fan, and I felt cool all night (even on the top bunk).

This is the best hostel I’ve stayed in Central America. There are so many activities (beer pong, boat party, volcano tour, free walking tour) just to name a few and they’re all so reasonably priced. The volunteers and staff were so helpful and it has a great traveller vibe. Banana pancakes for breakfast were amazing too! I can’t recommend enough.

Very nice place to stay. It's a small little diamond in the middle of the city. Good price ratio. The people are very nice, friendly and helpful. The place is very clean and the rooms are decorated creatively. Total recomendable.

A warm shout-out to the fabulous staff at De Boca en Boca (Fatima, Max, Omar, Claudia and the rest of the team)! They went wayyyyy above and beyond to make my July birthday super fun and memorable with group Salsa lesson, drinks, and a night out! Even singing the birthday song to me 😆 My private ensuite room was comfortable with high ceilings and plenty of space. The common areas are lush with plants, and a variety of seating/hammocks. Staff went out of their way to help with directions from Managua, recommending activities and restaurants. Be sure to book a massage during your stay, as the resident massage therapist is amazing!! Muchas gracias, once again 😘 -Shannon
