Arrived around 8 pm to begin my shoulder and chest workout. I have been to many planet fitness gyms, and this one by far left a sour taste in my mouth. I started my shoulder workout with shoulder presses and set my very small drawstring bag next to my foot, a staff member named "Nicko" had the audacity to interrupt me in the middle of my set while I had 70lb dumbbells over my head!! I understand that there is a protocol but do you really have to interrupt me and risk that weight dropping on my head?! Just to let me know that I can't have my very small bag next to my foot. I politely responded and obliged. I then moved on to use the bench press and in the middle of my set while I had weight pushing down on me, here comes Nicko again to harass me and my workout partner... on top of making me a liability to planet fitness this staff member kept staring at us from a distance making me and my workout partner feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. Your slogan reads "you belong," but today I felt persecuted, intimidated and uneasy. The kicker to all of this, is that this kid had the nerve to confiscate my water jug leaving me almost two hours without drinking any fluids(I tend to stay away from water fountains due to issues with filtration). I will not be returning to this planet fitness location and am considering taking my business to another gym franchise altogether.

Tried once , not bad . Later afternoon Saturday has no many people, decent equipments more than enough for me. Overall clean!

This review is for Planet Fitness at Towne Center Drive, Cerritos, CA. I am a member of the Planet Fitness in Hawaiian, Garden, CA which was closed today 3 Jul until 5 Jul. So this afternoon I went the PF at Towne Center to work out since Hawaiian Garden is closed. I was told that I needed to pay $5.00 to workout at their place because I am not a member of that particular place. I confirmed this $5 fee from the Club Manager, Ms Danielle Randle and her response that I have to pay $5 to workout at their place. This is high BS because I should not be penalized just because the other location decided take the day off. They carry the same name although its by different franchises; therefore, there should be a mutual agreement between them so the members do not have to suffer the consequences. I personally think their policy is a disgrace to basic common sense. On the other hand, I want to tell everyone that the staff at Hawaiian Garden are super friendly, courteous and they are always walking around dusting the place. The equipment are clean well maintained. Because of my experience, I would not workout at the Towne Center Planet Fitness. Its not the $5. It’s the principle behind it. I made Ms Randle aware that I will submit this write-up, just to be fair.

I travel a decent amount so it’s tough to maintain any single gym membership and the quality of my workouts are very important to me. That being said I often end up purchasing a day pass to gyms or working out a deal for the week. I make it California and wanted to work out for 1 day and they want 20 bucks when the 1 month member ship is 21.99. It’s clear that this company doesn’t care about fitness or the quality of service it offers, just its bottom dollar. I won’t ever bring my business to planet fitness over sales tactics like this. I guess there’s a reason why they serve pizza and donuts at a gym.

My go to place. This location is conveniently located off the 91. As a driver that's constantly on the road it's great to have a clean place to come in and take a piss 24/7 for only $20 per month. no matter where I'm at there's always a planet fitness nearby when nature calls. Definitely worth the price. Oh and they have exercise equipment too.

Awesome staff and always clean. Nicko is an amazing trainer, always willing to work and give advice. Front desk staff are always friendly.

The staff is very friendly and outgoing. The machines are great. The gym has been cool especially with this heat going on.

Must be a cheap owner at this location. I like Planet Fitness but they seem to be cutting corners at this location. 1. Some equipment in bad shape or out of order. 2. Employee's grumbling about managers. 3. Hard to find paper towels and spray, limited location like no where near circuit and hydro loungers. 4. wet floors, fall risk. 5. 5 minute limit on massage chairs and hydro loungers. The people that run this gym obviously don't use this gym.

Great atmosphere during the times of 8:00am -10:00am. All machines are clean and workable. The morning staff is nice, smiling and down to earth!!!!! Definitely will return to this location

I’ve worked out at the Cerritos planet fitness pre-Covid and determined it’s not for me. I didn’t like all the quotes on the walls and how they discriminate certain “types” of people. I don’t like the judgement, and it wasn’t towards me because I don’t lift weights 🏋️‍♀️. I struggle with drinking enough Water and the only time I met my daily goal was after I started using a gallon jug I got on Amazon. It has time stamps and motivational quotes on the bottle. I’d use this to help me schedule and remind me to drink water and finally, I achieved my goal. Apparently, the gym has a wild rule about drinking water from gallon jugs. 🤷🏼‍♀️ That crazy rule affected me. It doesn’t make sense and isn’t motivating. The only thing it helped is the decline in living a healthy lifestyle. I also didn’t agree with the discrimination towards people who didn’t fit the cookie cutter image planet fitness labels individuals.

Gym is very clean and the staff is very attentive to making sure it’s kept that way. Not a lot of meat heads come here so you won’t see Arnold wanna bees trying to lift 1000 lbs and look at themselves in the mirror.

Love the gym. But parents should be able to take kids under 13 year old to the gym with them. They need to have child care or a waiver petition not just only the husband working out the wife need to exercise also. A lot of people is having kids these days and us mom need to work out.

I just joined the club as a black membership upgrade. Last nite I was trying to tan and they said I needed goggles and that I can buy them up front for $2.50. I told the staff I'd buy some the next day because I didn't have my wallet on me. I came to workout the next day and tried to pay for the goggles and the male staff said I couldn't pay with cash or debit and only with apple pay. I said I don't have apple pay and was never told the only way I could pay anything at the gym was with apple pay. I said "can you not just give me the cheap stickers to put on my eyes so I can just tan and get goggles later elsewhere?" And the male staff member had no understanding or compassion and just refused!! The gym is nice but that staff member was the opposite!

It's always a great experience going to this gym. Great staff, always clean and low traffic, especially in the wee hours.

Be aware of the harassing security on the premises. Even if you’re a Black member, even if the gym is open 24 hours, the security guard will call you a potential homeless and send to park at Walmart. Avoid this Planet Fitness or you might get harassed.

Great experience.....could be better if they had cardio rowing machine...Black membership os definitely worth it if u use massages and total body enhancement....David knows his exercises as well and demonstrate really well

The gym is well ventilated, adequate space for distance keeping and overall, a polite and diligent staff. Overall a pleasant gym experience.

Been to several locations but this was by far my favorite. Super clean and staff was awesome. Sammer was very knowledgeable and courteous.

Planet Fitness Cerritos is probably one of the cleanest PFs I've been to. Their towel dispensers and sanitizer sprays are never empty, unlike half of the other PFs

The TV CBS channel volume has been disfunctional for 6 months. This Planet Fitness has failed to resolve this issue after multiple notices. I give up.

I've come back with my review after a couple of months. I must say this gym is great. Always a friendly staff and very helpful, the lockers and restrooms are always clean. I have nothing bad to say,I'm very satisfied.

I like that it’s conveniently located near my house. The other members keep to themselves so I don’t feel bothered when I go there. I really like the total body enhancement machine and the hydro massage chairs. Such a nice way to end a workout. I haven’t tried the tanning booths yet, but maybe I will one day. And the staff is super nice and welcoming!

Staff is friendly and there is an abundance of machines to work out on. Bathrooms and the entire gym is clean and stocked. The staff is always cleaning, dusting and refilling the sanitizing stations. Plenty of parking. This is an ideal location located so close by the freeway.

Pros: Still 24/7 No Kids Usually Clean Area feels relatively safe compared to the rest of LA. Cons: Small Interior Feels humid and smells like feet (worse than most gyms) Showers go cold within 5-10 minutes, even in the middle of the night when no one uses them.

Love how empty it is around 1am. Friendly crew, will welcome you by name, let you know you’re a regular now. Subtle compliment of its own. Forgot my wireless earbuds, called them, they checked where I described I was last in the gym, and found them!!!! Outstanding!!!

Great place to workout! I’ve been here about 5 years. Staff is super friendly and helpful, they keep the place really clean. What’s not clean are the some of the club members who don’t bother to clean the machines after each use.

Bad customer service, I don’t recomend this planet Fitness. The person who did not let me workout at his gym his name is, David very rude, I was riding my bike and I forgot my lock. I couldn't bring my bike inside

Staff is great! Always friendly! Only took off a star because for some reason they block Outlook from functioning with office 365 (can’t send emails) which is odd when on their Wi-Fi. Would be nice to get some work done while hitting cardio.

I want to commend the staff of Cerritos Planet Fitness for outstanding customer service. Especially GM Sam, team member David, JP , instructor Neiko and the rest of the staff. Also they keep the gym clean and well equipped with supplies. Job well team!

Great place to work out

The staff that works the late shift around 10pm-12am is great. I have been goi g here just over a year and seeing the same faces and smiles every night is nice. This location is always clean and the bathroom is always stocked. Paper towels and antibacterial spray is always available as well.

Great staff and plenty of equipment, the price is reasonable also.

Go to long Beach or Hawaiin gardens this location used to be my favorite but the cool manager left and they really scraped the bottom of the barrel upon restagging, Danielle the area manager is just as useless as the recent staff.

Great gym for those who are looking to start off easy on their journey to getting into shape.

Planet Fitness is great. The price? Can't beat it. This location, in particular, is fairly new, so the amenities and equipment are clean and tidy. Note: PF mainly caters to novice lifters and casual gym goers. There are smith machines, but no squat racks, and the dumbbells and ez bars are limited in weight. It's not for everyone, but I give it mad respect for making gym-going accessible to the general public. Fitness for all!
