Nice place bit not actual battle site, just General Washington's headquarters! Also the park currently is opened on Fridays. Staff encountered was very friendly and informative.

Perfect for a quick visit and history lesson of George Washington's battle failures.😂. Very knowledgeable and enthusiastic volunteer staff. Also the site of a beautiful 240 year old sycamore tree.

September 2022 Very enjoyable way to spend a couple hours walking the grounds and visiting the few Revolutionary era buildings. Some great exhibits on hand, and you can get guided tours, as well. Washington was on these grounds for a couple days during the Battle of Brandywine. The Gilpin house is in great shape, even has a room believed to be the tavern from nearly 300 years ago. Huge 300 year old tree not far from the building is really cool to see.

This is such a beautiful and well-preserved battlefield. It's a must see for anyone interesting in American history. Unfortunately, the actual battlefield was fought on much larger ground, which was not preserved in the past and there are now homes and buildings on that land. Only a small part of the actual battlefield was left untouched, which is sad but at least the folks here do a great job taking care of what's left.

For how important this battle was in the revolutionary war, I had hoped to find more signs and different exhibits.

Beautiful place steeped in history. The tour was very informative and well constructed, and the people at the information center were friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend coming here.

The visitors center and historic houses are great. Battlefield is large for a Revolutionary War one, but not a lot to see.

A must see sight, one you can not miss is the historical tree that has been there since the signing of the Constitution! On a different note it is a great kissing spot.

The park has managed to preserve a couple delightful homes to help tell the story of the Brandywine conflict, but the conflict didn't really take place in the park. Instead, most of the Revolutionary War battlefield is now covered by suburban Philadelphia sprawl. I recommend driving along the battlefield tour route to get a better mental picture of the conflict.

The small visitors center was nice, but as someone that loves historic places like Gettysburg and Valley Forge, the grounds were severely lacking. I understand it's state run and has limited funding, but some hiking/walking trails with historic markers (doesn't have to be elaborate) would go a LONG way. Recreated earthworks would also be an inexpensive way to help set the atmosphere and visually separate it from any old local park.

The tour groups were small and full of information. Loved this atmosphere way more than bigger attractions like Gettysburg.

They close at 4pm missed it by an hour, most parks are sunrise to sunset. We had dinner up the road and thought it might be nice to enjoy.

The Brandywine Battlefield is always a pleasant place to go. It is well kept and clean. The museum at the visitor center is small but well done and worth seeing. The Battlefield is also a great place to hold outdoor events.

I saw 18th century demonstrations of blacksmithing, carpentry and artillery that were interesting and informative.

👍👍 Chadds Ford Day 2022 - special day with many family friendly activities. Multiple tents were setup for historical item presentations and many others for arts and handcraft items. Couple of Good food trucks and live music created a fun family oriented environment.
