We love El Portal and often drive from Santa Ana just to have their pizza. Ask for the Yuca Crust - it is gluten free and absolutely delicious. The ingredients are great and of high quality and they are working on Vegan cheese. We own a hostel in Santa Ana and send all of our guests who are heading out to see the Tazumal Ruins here, and everyone falls in love too! I want to give this a 5 star, but I must say the quality of both the pizza and service is not very consistent, and the waits can be long, servers often dont know what pizza they are serving, and sometimes the crusts are so soft they stick to the paper underneath, making it very hard to eat. But this still doesn't deter us from going.
