Magic place. An immersive and intense touch with nature, legends, history, connected to local legacy. The place is very well managed. Entrance fee is 40000 tsh but very worth the price. Only few people are allowed to be in at the same time. We had been lucky while we have been alone with the guide for more then half an hour discovering all the beauty of the place. Inside the premise there is a restaurant. Please respect the place. Give the chance to enjoy it as it is to all of us. Go visit it!

It was hard to believe that a place like this exists on Zanzibar :) A little bit hard to find, but when you finally get there, you will understand that it is a truly hidden gem. Highly recommended! Take your time and just enjoy.

An oasis of green and freshness . Very well maintained and taking care of. You should go early in the morning for some quite time . We were visited by a family of monkeys, an owl and other birds šŸ˜ƒ. The restaurant is very nice and the garden as well.

Absolutely loved it, Advisable to book ahead as they don't allow crowds in the pool. Courteous staff, cost 20$ per person. comes with a snorkeling kit and swimming shoes so you don't slip. And a beautiful restaurant. very serene too.

Lovely place. Must visit when on Unguja. As it is limited with entries on exact hour itā€™s not crowded at all. In my opinion itā€™s best to go in the morning the visibility under the water is the best at this time.

Beautiful oasis close to town, well worth a visit. Friendly helpful staff in a lovely environment. We'll worth the small entry fee! Support these people!

This is a must go to place when it is sunny. We walked there from our hotel, its a 20 minutes walk. The water is clean and clear. Not very crowded, but the reception suggested that we call before coming in. So make sure you call to ensure they allow you in. Get your own towels with you, and have a drink at the restaurant afterwards. I recommend heading there when you are in Paje.

Interesting but maybe nit worth the money. Remember to book in advance and do nit make the mistake to think that they can do the booking on spot. It's beautiful though, small but beautiful

We thought it would be nice to have a fresh water experience. The entrance fee is 10 dollar per person which is quite expensive for a simple dive. You get free water shoes and a snorkeling set but there is not very much to see. Also there are lots of mosquitoes! The cave is not owned by locals and the aim is to get money from tourist. Iā€™d think this is not right.

Great experience, Maalum had a very spiritual feel when in the water. I'm not that way inclined, but you know it's been used for 100s of years by local people, and there is a sense of history. Unbelievably clear water, the chill areas where cool but we didn't use them. Ultimately had a brilliant morning! Highly recommended if in Paje. MAKE SURE TO BOOK! We were lucky we had our hotel call in the morning, and 1 slot was available. Otherwise, we were travelling to Nungwi and wouldn't have come back down. 5*

After a very disappointing access from the main road, you suddenly find yourself in a little green oasis while you are still wondering where the cave might be as it's a flat land. You walk in to the reception and through a well-designed and well-concepted green passage to a naturally carved cave pool with turquoise water, ropes hanging from above so that you feel like Tarzan (or Jane). A real jewel in Zanzibar. Your entry allows you to stay for 1.5 hours but it is worth visiting even from the other end of the island. A natural feng shui ambiance...

Quiet and cozy. The natural pool is very beautiful and amazing colour of the water especially when the sun is shining right through. Iā€™d recommend booking your slots earlier or later during the day, weekday if possible to have it even more cosy with less people. A lot of green areas around which is nice to just relax and unwind. Thereā€™s a also restaurant/bar should you get too warm and wanting a drink to cool down. The staff are very nice and friendly!

Great sweetwater pond in a half open cave. Less known and not overcrowded. Take your time, as the entrance fee is steep for Zanzibar. They build three bungalows, ready by spring 2023. I will come again and spend 2-2 days there. Great "dschungle" around, well maintained.
