Seriously some of the best food I've' eaten in a long time. Unique and delicious. Not like a lot of nice restaurants that do the same stuff and are a bit pretentious. Nothing like that here. Highly recommend sitting at the bar. Evan (?) the bartender was fun to chat with. Chef is a bit shy, but dude makes some killer food. We came to town for a week for my wife's birthday and hit a lot of the "big" spots - easily our favorite nice restaurant in town!

Hidden gem in the city. Everything is so different and delicious. FOOD: (menu changed) • Beef Tounge: crunchy but so tender. I'm impressed that it's appetizer but it's so big. Quite overly seasoned with salt. But overall this's my favorite. • Oysters mushrooms: they steamed it for a while before quickly stir fried it, that makes the mushroom keep it jucy, fresh flavor and crunchy. • Beef cheek: so tender and delicious. The fat flavor was balanced out with the acidic taste of red wine and slightly bitterness of the sausage. • Flan: not bad but could be better. It's quite sweet with both caramel sauce and caramel cream • Chocolate tart: very rich chocolate flavor. Not a big fan of chocolate tart but this's pretty good one. SERVICE: great service, very friendly and chatty waiter. VIBE: This place is tiny and not for big group. There're only about 5 small tables and some bar seats.

Food is decent. Not mind blowing but interesting. Considering the price I’d rate the food 7/10. My favorite dish are beef tongue and rabbit. However there is one piece of rabbit that’s raw: There is still blood on it. I asked the server and she told me that’s how it supposed to be. I’m quite surprised at her response. I’m not sure which should I be more disappointed, the uncooked meat or their servers attitude.

Amazing night! Love everything! Totally for sure I will come again! They didn’t charge me the flan because I don’t like it. It’s so kind I was amazing. Recommend Empanada( they will change the meat inside) and grilled rabbit! Try it!!

Visited for dinner for a special celebration. Food was tasty, empanadas is a must. Definitely choose one of the larger plates. Atmosphere was great and our hostess was the loveliest and the cherry on top! Thank you so much 🙏🏼

Overall a satisfying experience. Lived up to the hype food and atmosphere wise. The flan was really out of this world. Everything else was unique and delicious. Small and cozy joint with a very warm ambiance. Deducted one star because we felt like we were actually being kicked out once our 2 hr limit hit. Understand the popularity and limited seating space, but I had to basically gulp down my wine while getting up to leave because we were rushed with them handing us our coats at the table within seconds the receipts printed. Appreciate that the waitress took her time to go through the menu and brought us additional wine options after we already settled on a bottle, but looking back, I think we would’ve preferred to have that time back to not feel rushed and enjoy the experience at the end. Didn’t feel like there was too much effort to explain or try to accommodate us and that took away from the experience at the end unfortunately.

100% agree on Beba’s rating of #8 for Canada’s top 100 best restaurants of 2023. From beginning to end, nothing fell short. Every dish was done perfectly, the service is top notch and the overall atmosphere is just awesome.

This was the best dinner I've had in a long time. We were a party of 4 going out to celebrate my wife's birthday. I'm usually not a fan of empanadas, but the chorizo and potato empanada was amazing, the dough is what did it for me, it was nice and flakey. The beef cheek was tender and rich, the eggplant served with it was very good. The lamb and peas was on point, cooked to perfection with a nice gravy. The homemade pasta with zucchini ragu was super delicious and light. The most surprising dish was rabbit and clams. I've been reading rabbit for 40 years, I've never had rabbit this good, incredibly tender, delicate, and juicy, with a pan sauce I could help soaking up completely with bread. We got the 3 desserts, and they all hit home. The flan was my favorite, best flan I've ever tasted.

We quickly understood why Beba is #8 of the top 100 restaurants in Canada. Pablo and his brother have some special here. Our server Anise went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Every dish was perfectly balanced with the occasional burst of flavour. I could have ordered everything on the menu. We even got a custom digestif cocktail at the end of the meal. And a pro tip. Don’t skip dessert. Last photo is the menu.

Quite possibly the best meal I’ve ever had in Montreal. From the cured Japanese mackerel on sesame buns to the caviar topped-knishes to the pastrami brined beef tongue…oh my lord this place was fantastic. Excellent cocktails and like everywhere else I’ve eaten in this great city, the service was unmatched!

Very small and quaint. Make a reservation, it gets booked fast. Service was nice. Waiter and barman were both very knowledgeable. I wish I could have try everything on the menu! It changes often and is meant to be shared. Portions are generous. I'll definitely be back!

Great service! The waitress was super helpful 😀 we had the empanadas, veal tartar, the brussel sprouts and the guinea fowl. The empanadas and the tartar was top notch! The brussel sprouts had a nice smokey flavour! The breast on the guinea was a little dry however, the sauce and mushrooms had good flavour! Its a little bit on the pricey side for what it is but i appreciate the fact that they care alot about using local ingredients. Cant wait to see what the next menu has in store!

Beba is an Argentinian restaurant, tucked away on a small side street, off the main Wellington street in Verdun, Quebec. On the menu: • Spinach and cheese empanadas (Spinach, cheese curds and béchamel) (3 Pcs) • Chicken chile verde empanadas (Chicken braised with jalapeño, tomatillo and cilantro) (3 Pcs) Deliciously crunchy, golden, layered dough with generous amounts of succulent filling. Don't know how they manage to make the dough so magical, but you'll definitely develop some cravings for these empanadas once you get to try them. They also sell them in larger batches and in a frozen form, so you could stock up on them and bake them up at your convenience. (Cant beat their freshly baked version though). My experience at Beba was interesting, in the fact that I had tasted their food a few times before during lockdown and I loved  the food! Last night, I decided to try the dinning room as it reopened. Menu and wine list were concise. We had from a food standpoint: 1) Burrata,  courgette, hazelnut & mint 2) Grilled Squid, red pepper & garlic aioli 3) Lamb with gnudi and corn 4) Green salad With a full dinning  experience, the service can impact a lot the overall experience and unfortunately,  mine was far from stellar. With a bill close to $400 for 2 people, we really wanted to try what they had to offer. The conclusion is that the dishes were inconsistent and the service was tailored to the "face" of the  customer, what I call "discriminatory" service. Meaning the waiter brought whatever set of prejudice they had, in their service. It is unfortunate because that led to some unpleasant situations, though there was an effort to make up for them for later on. As for the food, the burrata and the squid were excellent. The second food half, the salad and the lamb could be improved upon. Both dishes were a bit unidimensional. The salad was really acid focused and lacking of a balancing component and the lamb over reliant on umani. Overall I would like to try  Beba again  to see what else they can offer.

Beba... One of my favorite restaurants in Montreal! The service is impeccable. The food was excellent. The veal breast was a standout, perfectly prepared and bursting with flavor. The flan was a delightful finale to our meal, leaving us thoroughly satisfied. Highly recommend for a unique culinary journey! 👌🍽️

We had to chance to dine at this lovely restaurant for our anniversary. Really loved our experience, especially with the excellent service from the waiter staff who made sure to put a lot of attention. The food was of great quality and we definitely enjoyed our meal. The beef cheek was amazingly tender and the empanada was definitely the best one we’ve had so far. Would definitely recommend

Beba is absolutely a must! The staff are all warm and welcoming, our waitress Claudia was on point with some great recommendations. I didn't catch the bus boys name, but y'all need to give him some serious kudos, our table was kept immaculate and waters filled without even realizing it! The drinks were creative, and the food was an absolute divine treasure... we were just beside ourselves with the quality and flavors that each dish brought. Your chef and cooks are food heros! Kudos! Price wise this will make your wallet take a gulp, but you are going to get every cent of it in premier dining that left nothing else to be desired. Love this place, and excited to come back again soon!

Beba in Montreal is intriguing! The vibrant atmosphere with a focus on cocktails and evolving menu items reflects the establishment's commitment to providing a unique culinary experience. The diverse fusion of Italian and Spanish influences in the dishes, such as the changing daily fillings of empanadas and the creative knish with potato and caviar, the potato is so good. The guinfowl dish, with crispy skin, mashed potatoes, and mushrooms, have left a particularly positive impression.

Great food that is always changing - love the Mediterranean touch. Amazing service and friendly staff. Great wine list - not your classic wines and in the best way - the wine list is an adventure. Desserts were divine

The beef schnitzel sandwich is delicious, crispy, creamy, and just a touch spicy. It also looks like someone ran part of a sandwich over with a steamroller in a cartoon and it got real flat. It’s a combination of a sandwich and a cowboy hat. Imagine looking through a microscope at a sandwich and seeing a sandwich cell and the bun is the nucleus. It kinda looks like Saturn.

My girlfriend and I are food enthusiasts and residents of Verdun. Therefore, we were really looking forward to our diner at Beba. However, the experience was definitely not as we expected. First of all, the food was not appetizing. One of the first starters we received was a chicken wing terrine. After receiving it, it simply looked like a beige purée or "Paris Paté" with two slices of bread. Not appetizing at all and the taste was simply "Ok". Nothing that can justify the price of 17$. For the main course, we ordered lamb porchetta. The food was not disgusting. However, it was simply not good. The spices were too heavy on the lamb and we simply had tomatoes on the side to accompany the meat. This was not worth 47$. Ultimately, the best part of our meal was the dessert and our cocktails. Our experience was so disappointing that I would not recommend to any of my friends, colleagues or family members. The food is unfortunately overpriced for the experience we had. I really hope they can improve the food as this would definitely be something that I would like to try again, we literally live five minutes away and we were kind of hoping that our neighborhood could have a great restaurant located nearby.

Small menu but every items was clearly precisely chosen with different aroma, spices and flavours. Quite small restaurant so it gets loud but the loveliness of the staff and the food makes it all better. highly recommend for a tapas kind of night, in a nice little verdun neighborhood .

One of the best restaurant experiences. We had the empanadas and involtini as appetizers. Beef tongue as a small plate. Finally the ribeye as the large plate. We shared everything between 2 people. Food was absolutely incredible. Hands down the best steak and overall menu I've had. Everything worked really well together, including the house cocktails. Excellent service by Shelley. Cannot recommend enough.

Another one of Montreal's must visit spots. If you love good food, give this place a shot and let your servers guide you. It was a really great experience here and all the food was delicious. I think our favorite was the Anchovy tomato toast & bone marrow !

The food was very tasty and the ambience was warm and inviting. The one letdown was the limited vegetarian options. The prices were also a bit high (ended up being our most expensive meal on our trip), but note that the main plate portions are pretty sizable.

Our favourite meal in Montreal. Food was phenomenal. The grilled meats were highlights for us. Whatever they have on special that’s not on the menu, order it! The special we had that night was rabbit with clams and it was delicious! The clams were so big and juicy and the sauce of this dish was just perfection. The boar was also really good. You can definitely taste the difference in the meat. Would definitely dine here again when in Montreal. Make sure to save room for dessert! Normally I’m not a sweets person but the flan and the semifreddo were both perfect endings to the meal.

This was a stellar dining experience. Excellent, seasonal menu. The service was top tier with refreshed plates after every course and no pressure to hurry up and leave. The chefs were enjoying themselves and singing along with the great tunes which was a fun addition Don’t sleep on the salad or pistachio semifreddo!

Very accommodating to people with special needs. Food is amazing. While visiting Montreal we were recommended this restaurant by a local. We had a reservation 9:30PM and upon arrival we saw the waitress outside with another person. Apparently the person had went to the wrong restaurant and would not be able to make it to their reservation in time. While listening to their conversation it became apparent that the person who missed their reservation had special needs (he was mute/unable to speak). The waitress called the other restaurant but could not get through so she left a voice-mail. Instead of sending the man on his way (the restaurant was packed and did not have any tables open) the waitress made room for the man even though they had a full house. After finishing his meal, another employee came out to ensure that the man was okay and taken care of. The food was amazing too.

Prefer oils from butter. The Italian style and European wine are amazing. It’s surprisingly good in this area. The staff are nice and I am happy with the experience today. Would definitely come by for more.

Unreal evening at Restaurant Beba last night. The server / bartender, Antoine, took great care of us and the space is a comfortable and stylish spot on a quiet street in Verdun. Everything we ate, from the empanadas(!!!!) to the chocolate tart with blood orange olive oil dessert was extremely delicious, well prepared and presented. The mushroom dish was far an away one of the best variations of this meal I’ve ever had. Everything was cooked perfectly. Menu is well priced and the wine list had perfect pairing opportunities on it. Was my first time here and will confidently recommend to anyone as this place is clearly one of the top tier restos in Montreal at the moment.

Bravo! Everything was absolutely perfect, went for my birthday. The food was phenomenal – fresh, local, decadent and refined with happy little surprises along the way – great wine selection and cocktails, stellar service (shoutout to Evan especially), and a playlist whose mild and pleasant dissonance with the fine dining digs are the perfect final touch to create its charming, warm and laid back ambiance. An absolute must-go, not to be missed!
