Not sure how this place has such good reviews. Never in my life had I received such poor service. In May 2022, I went to Atelier Lou in person and explained I had two old Chronographs from my late father and wanted to have one serviced/repaired so I could have it with me for my wedding in July 2022. Eric reassured me that it wouldn’t be a problem and to leave it with him. One month later, no email or call to update me. So I decide to call and see what is going on. Eric tells me the watchmaker is sourcing parts, and they will follow up with me. Another month goes by, and nothing. I had to ask for updates repeatedly, and I was told the same thing but reassured they were looking at my watches and would get back to me. As my wedding got closer and I had many things to deal with, I stopped following up and understood I was lied to and not getting my watches in time. In February 2023, I emailed, and CC’d the watchmaker as I found his email on his separate website. Eric, until this day, actually never answered, but the watchmaker immediately answered and went above and beyond to make sure I got my watches back as quickly as possible. Surely enough, I went last week to get my Chronographs and got a whopping $1450 bill which includes surcharges for Eric’s services. When I told Eric I was disappointed I didn’t get the watches on time for my wedding, he apologized, but you can tell he was not genuine. He proceeded to point the finger and blame the watchmaker. As a client, it’s not my problem whose fault it is. Someone should have called me, and the shop I entered was Atelier Lou. As a customer, I should have never had to run after them. Also, I had requested a replacement leather strap in brown colour on only one watch, and Eric had this cheap black strap placed on both watches. After ten months, I can’t believe this is what I got. Eric tried to tell me it was impossible to find. Pretty sure he just forgot and didn’t want to admit it as I was able to find a better strap using google search in two seconds. If you want to get your watch serviced, I highly recommend you stay away, or contact the watch marker directly, as he cared enough to answer and call me. I can’t comment on Atelier Lou’s services for jewelry, but I would never trust Eric again.

Great service, the guy there was very nice and professional. He was able to fix my watch at a reasonable price too. I like also how they text or call you when your watch is ready.

I went there for a simple necklace repair and was still treated as if i was buying a large expensive stone. Eric was very kind and helpful, fixed it exactly to my liking and the price was more than reasonable. I would highly recommend this place to any and everyone great overall experience with them

Eric Goldberg helped de-tangle like 5 necklaces and showed me how to properly store them. He is extremely friendly and kind. I’m definitely going to come back whenever I have jewelry to repair.

I brought in 2 sterling silver bracelets, one that needed some links removed and the other that needed it’s closure altered so it would stay closed. The second bracelet has a lot of sentimental value and at first I was worried it couldn’t be fixed but Eric was incredibly helpful in going over everything w me and let me know that the shop would be able to make the adjustments it needed. I couldn’t be happier w how both bracelets turned out. A very kind and professional team that knows what they’re doing. Phenomenal work, many many thanks!

Atelier Lou repaired an engagement ring, wedding band and bracelet. The ring and wedding band are from 1945, and they look brand new. I’m so pleased with the experience.

Incredible service .. I brought a Citizen Eco Drive for a scratched glass. They gave me all the available options for repair. The glass was changed in less than a work week including the original one. I was also offered support for any issues after the repair. Great experience and a beautiful place, thank you!

Eric is the consummate proprietor: professional but engaging, knows his stuff but doesn’t jam it down your throat — just an absolute pleasure to deal with. My vintage watch from the 70’s was impossible to source parts for, but Joseph pulled through and it’s as if time rewound 50 years (while preserving that beautiful aged patina on the very delicate dial). I am thrilled to find Eric and Joseph in our new neighbourhood and have already gone back for a bespoke future heirloom necklace for my daughter. We hope to be customers for many, many years to come!

I just went to have a charm added to a bracelet and it took a few minutes, but I wasn’t even charged. In 2021 nothing is free, but this was a very sweet gesture and I will definitely return for any of my jewelry needs. Very much appreciated.

I came here to fix a necklace I have worn for the past 20 years and which belonged to my grandmother. This place went above and beyond for me! It took only a day to fix, and my necklace looks brand new! Eric Goldberg was so wonderful. Being new to Montreal, he even suggested great places to eat and visit while I’m here. ***Great service with Eric but incredibly expensive for seemingly no reason? I had two necklaces fixed, one just needed two jump rings as the pendant had come off, the other needed to be restrung (would expect this to be around 40$). in total i paid 100 dollars for two jump rings and a very simple necklace to be restrung. On the necklace that was restrung there is super glue holding something together. disappointed and will not be going here again, far too expensive. ***Eric reached out to me and offered me a full refund + for me to bring my necklaces back to be fixed to my liking. REALLY great customer service, Eric makes it clear that he wants you to have a great experience and for everything to be to your satisfaction.

Super friendly and professional service! Went in to buy earrings and came back the next day to fix my bracelet and clean my ring. He also gave my daughters super cute jewellery boxes that they love.

They resized a vintage gold ring for me. Due to the unique design of the ring, it was a tricky alteration, but they did an excellent job. Very professional and friendly service!

Just had a wonderful experience at Atelier Lou. Eric went out of his way trying to find a watch model in color I wanted, contacting distributor and following up after. Even though the watch I was looking for was not currently available, Eric had the watch model in different color, that actually worked better.
