One of the best bar cum restaurants in Chandannagar. Nice sitting area. Variety of food and drinks available here. Staffs are really polite and helpful. The quality and taste of the food is very good. Neat and clean place to sit. I would prefer to sit on the first floor as on the ground floor you will get the smell of alcohol mostly when it's crowded.

The ambience is quite good and sober and the quality of food is excellent!! But one thing for sure...you need to have your pockets filled quite much if you wanna have a hearty lunch or dinner.

My friend introduced me to this place. It is on the main road. The location is easy. Parking is comfortable. The ground floor is non AC and 1st floor has AC facility and also a family bar. It's a small one with many sitting arrangements making the place cozy. The menu card is hand written and bill is manually done. The smoking zone is outside. Not much food variations and neither beverage options as well. Still we managed to have Chilli Fish Dry & Garlic Chicken dry. The fish was soft and fresh. Tasty too whereas chicken was a bit chewy. The price is reasonable. Service is good. I found only one man doing all the hard work. Family, couples and groups of friends are the customers here. Needs more beverage options. More or less it's an okay experience.

Visited for the first time and loved the place. Located on G.T road, this bar cum restaurant is easy to locate. The ground floor is generally meant for stags or groups, the AC first floor is ideal for couples or family. Though it is not listed in the menu card. But don't worry you can order to have. Price is affordable. They offer the premium alcohol which you can't get in the town except this Restaurant. Reservations could be a better option if you are planning on occasion dine out with friends and family.

The service was quick, the food was delicious and enough to feed one. We ordered Chicken Chap, Chicken Korma, Baby Nun, Butter Tandoori Roti. All were equally good. If you're thinking about liquors, they take more than MRP for that . So consider that.

The review for me for this hotel is fairly accurate. The food at Hotel de Chandannagar is very tasty, the quantity and quality is good enough according to their price. The price is little higher bt it pays off. We have only one bar cum resturant in Chandannagar. Occasionally it gets overcrowded here, which they cannot manage. They don't have any security guards or bouncers here. I have no problem with anything related to their food. But I think at least occasionally they should have a bouncer or guard. I faced problem in puja time, thats why i said.

If you are looking for some great food in this area then this place is a must try for you. Every items are well cooked, well balance of taste. Service is top notch. Though it's not a so called fine dine restro. It also serves alcoholic drinks. I don't recommend it for a family outing .

If you are looking for a decent place to have great snacks with booze, this is the best place. The crispy fried fish is the best you will ever have. All their starters are brilliant. The Biriyani maybe is quite mainstream. But that of course is a place for starters and booze. The AC hall is on the first floor.

Not all restaurants serve beer or alcoholic beverages, and not many of them offers such a decent atmosphere. Cozy ambience with reasonable price, just what you want for a friends' hangout. The non-AC ground floor has a cheaper rate, while the first floor offers air-conditioning, with a slightly higher rate. You won't get cocktails here, but 'on the rocks' whiskey and beers are just fine. Great place for friends, couples even families.

According to our first visit, food is really good, drinks as well. (One thing was problematic to us that multiple staffs asking for tips. I can understand their point but tipping the one who served us is acceptable but asking by others who were not at all present, is not right at all. Secondly, I don't know the entrance is temporary or not, it’s not a good path to reach to the actual resturant upstairs.) Despite of all, a great time spent indeed. It's a much recommended place and even if you don't drink you can enjoy their food, spend quality time with yourself, loved ones or family. The bartender was really good and the food, awesome.

today I ordered mixed Hakka noodles after seeing their review but after opening the box I was so astonished as because they gave rotten prawns and some chicken pieces were also rotten . not going to order further from this restaurants . Its just disgusting. When this hotel is taking so high price for mixed noodles then it's there responsibility to offer good food and good quality.

Established in the year 1952, it immediately became the most devourable destination for food and wine lovers, and still is. It is the first Foreign Liquor Bar-cum-Restaurant in Chandernagore and still holds the heritage of serving delicious foods and drinks at a very moderate rate. If you are a resident of Chandernagore or adjacent area and still have not visited “Hotel De Chandernagore”, you are missing some experience. In the 64 years, this place has renovated itself to accommodate guests in a fully Air-Conditioned area on the first floor where families are also welcome.
