One of the best rag doll museum you could ever visit! Such a fine handcrafted dolls made from solely rags! This doll house showcases complete village life in different sections! Must visit for rural art and handcraft lovers! Although it's located inside Rock Garden, you'll have to pass through the defined route to reach here. But worth visiting.

It's a small doll museum based on the concept of village life inside Rock Garden of Chandigarh. You only need to purchase Rs 30 ticket for Rock Garden and that will work for Doll museum also. Not only kids, but adults also will enjoy here.

Situated within the compound of Nek Chand's Rock Garden, this Rag Doll museum is quite unique and different. The depiction of rural culture and lifestyle is simply incredible. The entire museum is filled with colourful dolls and miniatures. The entry tickets to Rick Garden and The Doll Museum is mere Rs. 30 for adults and Rs. 10 for children. Overall a great tourist attraction and must go with your friends and family.

    (Translated by Google) Rock garden overview Located in Sector 1 of the beautiful city of Chandigarh, The Rock Garden is a huge open-air exhibition hall, which displays sculptures made of urban and industrial waste designed and executed by Nek Chand, a former road inspector in Chandigarh. It is situated between the famous Sukhna Lake and the Capitol Building and is a spectacle that is a must visit! Also known as Nek Chand's Rock Garden, this huge 40-acre garden is a colorful mosaic of art pieces and sculptures. The Rock Garden was built alone by Officer Nek Chand in his spare time in the year 1957 and has become a tall symbol of imagination and innovation in the city. The Rock Garden of Chandigarh is a true example of 'Best from West', having around 5,000 sculptures within its boundary.

Its situated inside Rock Garden in phase-3, it will take 15-20 minutes to walk here from the entry gate. Neat & clean doll museum is free of cost to visit. Its a large museum with hundreds of different dolls. Kids enjoy here alot. There is dark inside doll museum, so do keep an eye on you children running here & there. A must visit if you are coming to Rock garden, Chandigarh.

The Rag doll museum, is a part of a Rock Garden, in Chandigarh, India. The Museum displays about 200 rag dolls, made from the waste clothes. The theme of the display is a village, with special huts, trees and other spaces created here to complete the look and feel. Using materials, designs, colours and textures that are synonymous with the garden, the museum has a meandering path, with a separate entry and exit. At this phase, Nek Chand had created different blocks for displays, with one for the dolls, which he began creating in 1970.

The doll museum is a frankly very creepy part of the rock garden. It can only be accessed via the rock garden. The rock garden itself is a very strange place attracting a large number of tourists. The story behind the garden is that one man secretly built thousands of strange statues covering a huge area. I find this quite hard to believe - both the secrecy and the single man part given the garden is right next to the capital complex.

A treat for everyone. The place reflects Punjab's old village life. All dolls are kept clean and due to perfect lighting they do remain in the memory of the visitor after his/her visit. A must-visit place for all culture enthusiasts.

The museum is designed like a hamlet, and one can find unique huts, trees, animals, and more made from clothes. The entry and exit of the museum are different, once again made with different discarded materials. It is a part of Rock Garden. It was designed by Nek Chand in the 1970s, and the area is dimly lit.

Beautiful place. dolls made from cloth scraps collected by late Sh. Nek Chand from tailors' shops from across the city during the 1970s. Installation of unique mud huts with ornamental decorations, artificial trees with spreading branches provide the necessary ethnic context to the dolls. Women are depicted spinning the charkha, cooking, enjoying conversations with each other and celebrating festivals and weddings, dressed in colourful clothes and their day to day jewellery. Similarly, men are clad in dhoti, kurtas, and pagris, and are shown smoking hukkas, discussing village affairs in the chaupal, meditating under the trees and dancing in wedding processions.
