Finally! A local small Chinese food restaurant that serves good (non-greasy, non-sloppy, non-sickening food). Really enjoyed every dish and can say that it’s prepared properly. We’ll be back for sure. Update: came back for dinner. Got moo sho pork - excellent flavor. More moist than most. Wor wonton soup. Very nice. Not extra salty like some places. General Tsao’s chicken meal - pork fried rice was very good. Seafood king is excellent. Mien fen with shrimp also excellent. We’ll be back!

How can this place have so many 5 star reveiws?? The best thing I can say about this place, is that they very quickly refunded my money. The staff was very friendly. The food was terrible. The fried rice looked like broken, orange, minute rice. Who serves ORANGE fried rice?!? I have never before seen neon yellow egg drop soup. The egg foo yung was a greaseball, chicken lo mein was tasteless, the brown sauce for egg fu yung was lumpy, congealed, and so salty it was inedible. Vegetable dumplings were mush. Said they had a temp chef in, for whatever reason, but come on... Never going back. Absolutely not worth having ruined dinner upon arriving home, and having to go right back. Worst strip mall chinese food ever! (There are plenty of amazing strip mall joints, that do serve great food. This ain't one of them!!)

I had placed my order over the phone and was told it would take about 10 minutes. I got there after about 15 minutes and I was told it was going to be another 10-15 minutes. It turned out that they forgot my order which was upsetting. I ordered the Orange Chicken with fried rice and it looked good however it was very bland. It was so bland I ended up throwing it away. I’m disappointed because the reviews for this place are pretty good but I don’t see what the hype is all about.

I’ve been to My House on Gilbert Rd a handful of times, and they have yet to disappoint. The food is listed at affordable prices, and most times you get more than you pay for. The food always comes out exactly the way I want it and within a reasonable time. I’ve never waited more than 15min. for a meal. In regards to the service I would personally rate it a 10/10. It’s the perfect mix between customer service and self service. The homey quotes and wildlife images decorate the walls, giving the establishment a comfortable atmosphere. In addition to the comfortable atmosphere, the staff is always super welcoming. Every time I approach the front counter I’m greeted with a smile. When I’m not sure what to order, they’re always willing to offer recommendations. All in all, it's easy to see that this restaurant is familiar with good hospitality. I would recommend My House to anyone who asks for a good local chinese spot.

the food was pretty good it just took a little too long to get it. Then again it wasn't that long of a wait. Perhaps I'm just an impatient person. I like this restaurant and if you like Chinese food you should check it out with your friends and family

I ordered on line. New York Style Roast Pork Chop Suey. Best I've tasted in 50 years. So much delicious tender roast pork, vegetables done perfectly, it was hot and ready when I picked it up. Very friendly and immaculate. My new favorite place.

Place was empty. Dirty tables. Run by two white kids at the counter that didn’t know the menu. Ordered General Tso’s Shrimp. Ordered side of fried rice but got white rice. Food was atrocious!!! No flavor uncooked raw broccoli and carrots. Shrimp had soggy breading and rubbery overcooked shrimp. Tasted like a cheap microwave dinner. Don’t waste the time or money.

What happened to this place? Prior to 2020 the food here was always really good. We ate here often and never had a bad experience. They closed the dining room for a long time during covid and then extended that because they got new furniture. We finally came back after all this time and I couldn’t believe the change in quality. The beef in both the beef and broccoli and the beef and vegetables was so hard to chew we ended up leaving most of it on the plate. The wontons in the soup were tough and the egg drop was cold and the eggs weren’t cooked properly. Even though we dined in, no one asked how our food was. It used to be that someone would come by and follow up and thank us for coming in as well. This was a disappointing experience and I am sorry to say we won’t be back.

I hate that I don’t live near My House anymore. But, I try to make an excuse to get out to them about once a month or so. Today was the first day I ate at the restaurant. And I was surprised but the nice plate settings which they served me on. And of course, the meal was delicious!

Best Chinese food in Arizona! Absolutely delicious! I eat there all the time and everything is always delicious and tasty. They use the highest quality ingredients so I never feel like I am eating poorly! I come from NY where you can get great Chinese food every where but my house compares with the best of the best there! I give them my off the boat NY seal which means top of the top away from home! Order anything and you won’t be disappointed ever! Allan has been in the restaurant business since he has been a kid and knows how to take care of his customers! The staff is all very friendly and helpful! Great service!

Solid Chinese take out. Typical to fast-ish cook time, nice people, small soda selection like 6 flavors. Nothing bad but also nothing to write home, or My Home, about.

  • 4/5 Bruce S. 4 years ago on Google
A decent Chinese restaurant with an extensive menu including vegetarian options. Seating is available for about 30 people in a too bright environment and they also do take out.

Cashew chick is very good, prices are reasonable, sweet n sour sauce is watery.

Messed up the order. I ordered beef chow menu and got the below dish. No noodles or anything. The pork fried rice tasted like it was cooked on a dirty top. Called 3 times with no answer to address the issue.

  • 1/5 Glynne T. 1 year ago on Google
The food sucks! ordered sweet and sour chicken, it had no peppers or pineapple just some red sauce and fried chicken. The General Tso's chicken had no spice to it whatsoever and the orange chicken had no taste. $47 for carry out, waste of food and money. I wish we had a good Chinese carry out in Chandler as this certainly is not.

Delicious food and clean place. The best Chinese food in the area.

  • 2/5 Chelle E. 1 year ago on Google
I’ve eaten here probably 4 or 5 times because it was close to my house. There are some things I do like - they have good fried rice, the staff is polite, and the restaurant is clean. However, I found a small bone in my chicken on two seperate occasions. The first time I figured it was a fluke and the second time was the last time I will ever eat here. I think it does show they make the food fresh, but that they are using poor quality cuts of chicken.

  • 3/5 Yasmeen O. 1 year ago on Google
I would come here all the time. But the last several times; the chicken has tasted off. I don’t know if they keep over cooking the chicken or it’s just old . I hate to post this because I used to love it; but now it’s just not the same as before. But I can tell when the owner makes it; it is always spot on.

Stop by for dinner today. I had the orange chicken with pork fried rice and egg roll. Everything was delicious and fantastic. Probably the best orange chicken I’ve had. Definitely going back!

This is my new favorite asian place near our house. The food is pretty good and tasty. + It feels much much healthier than chain restaurants. The only downside for me was the amount of spices which was very low for me. Next time, I'm going to ask for more spice and update this review 😁 (ordered through Uber eats, so I had no idea of the menu and if I can choose spice level or check which one is spicy)

Family and I decided to try a new Asian food restaurant since our usual hasn’t been fresh lately. Unfortunately we won’t be back… customer service was great food not so. We had the orange chicken, white rice and egg drop soup. The chicken didn’t seem fried at all because it was slimy and chewy. The rice had a strange flavor and the broccoli was hardly cooked. Lastly the egg drop soup was watery, unflavored and tasted like water with a little salt. I want to say something good about the food but I just can’t…

  • 1/5 Wendy M. 4 months ago on Google
We have had food from here many times; however, this time it was not good at all … had to toss some of the food as it was so tasteless. Crab Rangoon & won tons were good … House special fried rice, which we have had previously, was not good.

  • 5/5 Brian D. 6 months ago on Google
The combination doesn’t come with soup or a drink, but are fair considering todays prices per meal. We ordered for 6. We had to order two large bowls of soup, the soup was not hot and rather cold. 3/5 Not a huge knock but the soup came out and very soon afterwards the entrees. I believe everyone was happy with their entrees, lo mein a little greasy. 5/5 Nice proportions. Staff 5/5.

  • 5/5 Bridget M. 10 months ago on Google
I ordered weekday lunch takeout and was pleasantly surprised at the nice portion sizes. The chicken lo mein wasn't loaded with salt as most Chinese takeout is, and my kids enjoyed the vegetable pan fried dumplings. The service was prompt and the young man working the counter was so kind. My young daughter requested that we order from here again soon!

  • 5/5 Alfred G. 3 years ago on Google
I love the food, I haven’t had anything I dislike from here. The crab rangoons, egg rolls, fried rice, and the lo-main are very good. The food taste like they are made from the freshest ingredients.

May be my new favorite place for delicious Chinese food! Wonderful atmosphere, very clean eating area, great staff, and ,of course, amazing food. The BBQ chicken on a stick is a personal favorite and I would highly recommend. ?

Not exactly authentic or reminiscent of east coast Chinese food. I grew up in New York and New Jersey and have yet to find a Chinese restaurant in AZ that is even close but I’m still on the hunt. The staff is friendly and my food was ready quickly, but the place is small. It’s obvious it’s more of a take out restaurant. I ordered the steamed vegetable dumplings which were fine but they fell apart whenever I picked them up. Tasty though. The Mapo Tofu was a joke. They shouldn’t have it on their menu if they don’t know what it is or how to make it. Avoid. They cubed the tofu but that’s the only thing they did right. They put it in watery brown sauce with carrots and peas??? No hot chili oil, no peppercorn, no chili flakes, nothing resembling mapo tofu. Disappointing. Can’t speak for the other dishes but based on the entree I had, I wouldn’t return.

  • 1/5 Alcoa S. 4 years ago on Google
Fast with great customer service and location. Second timer. Over-priced for all the low value filler-fodder. First chicken entree comprised of approximately 25% paper thin chicken and the other 75% was a green and white onion mix. Little more chicken second time but still overflowing with inexpensive nonsense. Sticking to corporate places. Caveat Emptor.

We moved to AZ 3-1/2 years ago and have been unable to find quality and tasty Chinese food until, based on Trip Advisor reviews, we decided to try My House, Chinese restaurant. The owner is Chinese and from New York City, he brought his delicious food and recipes with him. The service is always friendly, polite and prompt. The Chinese know respect, and show it.

Overall, a really great place to grab Chinese food. The staff is always very friendly. My order is always ready very fast. Once in a while our spring rolls won’t be very hot, like they’ve been sitting around for a while, but it’s rare. Other than that, the food is always delicious! Great lunch prices too!

I'm a Chinese food "lover", who has been in search of good Chinese food since I'd moved to Chandler. LORD,,,where must I start...the chicken fried rice was orange-yellow "scary", but tasted okay, egg food young was Really good but horrible gravy (I had to toss), the white rice was Really good. There was this WEIRD taste to the gravy & chk-fried rice as though the cook tried to "put a new spin on it". Amid my meal...I had to go into the kitchen whip up a homemade batch of gravy - which made the food tolerable (that distinct taste yet seeped thru)!!!!!! I was so out done, I wish I had taken a photo. Overall, the covid service, atmosphere and pricing were all good - I'm an avid, candid reviewer; so I gave this experience 3-stars.

Sadly their food wasn’t as good tonight, the flavoring was a little weird and it tasted a little old. But they were so understand and apologetic. They refunded us and were so kind. Will definitely go back to try on a different day purely on the professionalism and kindness of this business. Excited to try again!

Even though I was pointing to the combination when I ordered the Lo Mein, I got just Lo Mein, not the combo. . When I called, I was told, that's what you ordered. Not even I'm sorry for the misunderstanding. A bad attitude. The only flavor of the Lo Mein was the very salty soy sauce. Won't go back.

Solid...veggies are fresh, rice perfect portions are huge and friendly. Very healthy options. The Veggies are real veggies like broccoli and snap peas. NOT SQUASH which is the cantaloupe of vegetables ??

Really good quality food with extensive menu. While there are a few tables to sit at, most orders look like take out. Good prices and large portions. Easy parking but a busy intersection.
